Thank you so much for showing us how to correctly build a frame! I can’t really afford to have my artwork framed every time so this will be really helpful.
Wow, I am so happy the algorithm sent me your vlog. This is an elegant frame. I went to the big box store last night and purchased moldings, I will keep the thinner ones. I will have to return the others I bought and get the less expensive board and the outer molding. I have material, glue, Kreg Jig, outer band, clamps, and a Miter Saw. I do not have the cutter you have. I don't know that I am strong enough to cut with that anyway. I am going to look on your channel for what you use for the backing to finish off the frame. Thank you so much for such clear instruction. I am excited to get my framing on.
Amazing! It looks so beautiful and harmonious with your portrait! I'd love it if you made a playlist with any of your "behind the scenes" art videos, like framing, matting, display techniques, anything like that which compliments your painting videos. I wasn't able to find any other framing vids of yours when I tried looking because of the sheer volume of great content
This is great! My husband was a woodworker, I am a seamstress - I have all the materials and tools and the jig to make very nice frames. Thanks for the ideas!
Thank you so much for the video. My husband is into woodwork so I can nag him into making one of these lovely frames for me. Kind regards Sylvia from South Africa
Thank you so very much I really enjoyed seeing how to make a frame. I haven painted some pretty large paintings and now I can give a try to make the frames for them!
Thanks so much David for sharing this valuable information. Any further ideas would be greatly appreciated especially for the smaller more simpler styles as well.
Great... great sharing!!!it was in my mind...how to create a broad frame nd convence my shop keeper.this vedio came at right time.please show videos. Thanks ❤️❤️
I've been waiting to see this. Yes. More in way of smaller frames too. I've got a number of small paintings that would look wonderful in a frame, and I'm thinking I can buy all of that at our local Menards. Thank you!
Great intro for me. I am currently waiting to receive a new circular table saw. Going to look to see if you have one on professional treatment of the back of this kind of aesthetic product.
Hi James, Here is the link. We are also working on several other for the members. They will be up in December. Just in time to make frames for your holiday paintings! ua-cam.com/video/GiiC-TLOhNU/v-deo.html
Nice video - again. Pocket screws are very fast and strong... Many wood joints would technically be stronger but would take unreasonable amount of time for a picture frame. Using pocket screws is much higher quality than I have seen in many frames that are sold. Again - thank you for the video.
I would imagine the size should depend on the size and character of your painting. The moldings should be available at any hardware store that sells wood (Lowes, Home Depot, some Aces, etc.). They will also be available at specialty wood stores and online.
This is a great video! Your channel is so informative. With the holidays fast approaching, is it possible to gift a membership to your channel to friends and family? Thank you!
Hi Sherri, I do not know that. Sorry. The channel is completely managed by youtube. The control just about everything. If they don't do that, I have lots of classes at JansenArtOnline.com If you have any questions, please email the studio at JansenArtStudio@aol.com Thank you!

Very helpful 🙂
Glad it was helpful!
I loved this video! I didn't see what was on the outside edge...I assume another piece of molding?
Yes. I build frames all different ways by combining moldings.
Awesome info!!!
Thanks for watching!
Fantastic information, Thank you.
Our pleasure!
Great video David. Do you have videos on making a shadowbox frame.
Not yet!
HI DAVID! THANKS FOR THE TUTORIAL I LEARNED A LOT. What sizes are the moldings & where did you get them?
I would imagine the size should depend on the size and character of your painting.
The moldings should be available at any hardware store that sells wood (Lowes, Home Depot, some Aces, etc.). They will also be available at specialty wood stores and online.
Very wonderful video! Any way you can drop a link for the type of fabric you used?
Just search linen at JoAnn's Fabrics. Lots to choose from.
Thanks 👍,,🌷
My pleasure.
Grazie
My pleasure.
I cant find any other framing videos. Can you share a URL?
