For all the hype, Lyles didn't break the WR or OR. Sure, 9.79 is fast, but just watch the London 2012 finals. Gay finished 3rd in 9.79 but see how far behind Bolt he was. And don't forget, Bolt had the 2nd slowest reaction time out of the blocks that night ( was never his strong point) had terrible technique (rocked sideways) had a terrible diet, hated training, I could go on. I guess this race just reaffirmed what a freak Bolt was. A one off and still the undisputed GOAT. Oh, and given this upload was posted hours before the race, any chance of some tips for future sporting events? I could be quids in!
