I still don't know how "Brooklyn Duo" (the wife on piano and the husband on cello) got a whole orchestra into those two instruments, but I find their version of this beautiful song giving solace; hope; and joy, again and again. It never was just for piano, has always been cello/violin too. Are so many different versions now over time. Whatever else or however many its a very beautiful thing that no one can ever deny.

this music from year 1680 compose by Johann Pachelbel is one of the oldest music that i ever heard. this music proves that it is a soul soothing music. thanks to Johann. until now this music exist and used into many occasions like wedding and even in funeral services. and so many others.💖
I was not so long ago surprised to read that Pachelbel's Canon in D had long ago fallen into disuse and was revived less than a century ago. I find it SO filled with an array of life's emotions, through sorrow and joy but ever dancing on with hope. As Puddles would say "Life is Sad . . . AND Beautiful " B-)

@@zaldotube you know maroon 5 (or maybe, rather, Ad Levin(?)) wrote "memories" a set it to Canon in D. I think the first time I heard it (probably before I'd heard Brooklyn Duo's version here of Canon in D), I didn't recognize it but was like "Gosh, why does that sound like SUCH an "instant HIT ! ? " Then I saw comments pointing out what Adam had done and I was like .... Oh, right ... "an overnight success 4 centuries in the making... HAaaaa!" B-) A least one other person on youtube put his own lyrics to Canon in D, which was ... I forget ... "interesting"? I don't think Pachelbel wrote lyrics for the music, nor am I aware of anyone doing so more "historically"?
