"These incursions into British air space are increasing." You keep referencing this in the video. None of the Russian aircraft are in UK airspace. They would have to be inside the 12 nautical mile limit to be inside UK airspace. The Russians are flying in international airspace when intercepted by RAF aircraft. The Russians do the same for their quick reaction alert and intercept in the Flight Information Regions that are on the periphery of sovereign airspace.

It's probably a good thing they do it. To many countrys get soft when they don't fear being attacked.. Their are countries who have given up their air force as they don't think they will ever be attacked again and now they have no way to defend themselves. The only way to stay safe and to stop future attacks is by staying strong and always being ready which this does help with. To many people these days are pushing for the closing of the military to save money.. They don't realize that just because they don't want war doesn't mean that others don't.. These little trips allow the Russians and the UK to both get financial support for keeping their countries safe.. Their anti military citizens can't use the excuse that they don't do anything as a reason to shut them down.
@Waxel Punkt. vexonica is right. By saying they're counter clockwise rotating defeats their entire purpose, which is to counteract the torque a single propeller engine creates, not the vibration. It's like the Chinook helicopter where each blade spins in an opposite direction, countering the torque effect. You really should look up what torque effect is...
They just do things like that. Ofc not with some old bomber. but each other check the reaction time of the other. In Balticum they go into Russian airspace to check the reaction. Both "provoke " but they just do a favor to the other by training there crews 😂
Apparently those TU-95 Bears are so noisy with their 4 contra-rotating turboprop engines that submarines can track them on passive sonar while submerged.
A lot of people say the typhoon is old and obselete compared to the f35.. and are right in some cases but for the intercept role it is most definitely king of the sky, and a truly beautiful machine as well.
Agree, Somehow the Typhoon was a good, reliable yet beautiful fighter/interceptor/bomber/reconnaissance jet. Not that expensive compare to the F35. It's just a disappointment that most Americans boast the F35 as the best multirole jet. But- When it comes to budget repairs, refuel, and re-arming Umm Uhh... *-I don't think so, Lmao-** (Just a Jk, Lmao).*

And as far as I'm concerned and maybe you can ask yourselves why is Georgia a half member of NATO, why is almost All of the former Warsaw pact nations full or partial.members of NATO, and why the fuck is nato still a deal? In 1991 with the reunification of east and west Germany. The US, Soviets and nato agreed that nato would be dismantled, and that the west wouldnt take one step closer to the east, and as I and you see it that didnt happen. Russia was invaded twice in the last century, and over a 100million of its ppl and billions were destroyed. So explain to me how it's wrong for the Russians to question or defend there sovereignty from the aggressors of nato and the west. Cause I'm certain that in the last 20 plus years it's been my beloved constitutional republic invading and bombing the shit out of the world with its nato friends, and it hasn't been the Russians acting aggressively, or invading 4 or 5 plus sovereign nations, without congressional approval of war!
@ Rick I agree with all of this. There is no doubt that to the Russians, US reminds them of a modern day Nazi Germany. MSM did report that there Crimea voted to join Russia. Twice if I'm not mistaken.
The airframes of the Tu-95MS and MSM today in Russian service are from 80s and 90s and they derive from Tu-142MK of the Navy. Different aircraft from Tu-95. The Tu-95MS's first flight is in 1979. Only cruise missile carrier. The "Tu-95 Bear" is not in Russian service since early 1990s.
I must say, the Tupolev Tu..."Bear" is one of the beautiful, hardy aircraft the Russians have produced. Very impressive range and other recon capabilities too.
The Bears make good snoopers and aircraft to test British/Nato radars and countermeasures. The Tu-160 flown at combat ceilings and speeds represent a real threat.
It is an excellent weapons platform for conventional or nuclear threat. Evolved from the "Soviet" designed and built from a Tu-4 bull. Wish looks remarkably like the WW II B-29.
Just like the AK-47 is essentially a rip off of the German STG-44. If you're still rubbing sticks together to make fire because socialism has snuffed out qualities like personal initiative and innovation you imitate rather than innovate.
Douglas Burch I think Aaron meant that the Tu-4 and the B-29 looks remarkably alike. Which of course is not so remarkable since they are essentially the same aircraft.
Nice video. But you put in the title that a russian bomber was flying over Britain and in the end the bomber just "came close" to the British air space which is a huge difference because if a russian bomber would enter the NATO air space, it would be shot down in the next second.

We shouldn't be afraid of the Russian bear but the RAF along with NATO are ready for them, I have no doubt about that
The west has been doing this to russian territory recently aswell. Back and fourth.
Most bad ass bomber that was ever build "The Bear"
Even more impressive and beautiful than the B-52.
Fantastic technique, counter clockwise rotating propellers 👍🏻🏆👍🏻
Diebels Alt countra-rotating propeller*, clockwise or counterclockwise doesn't matter since it just affect the torque which could be solved easily
Really fascinating channel
Thanks
The UK needs to haul some V-bombers out of museums and retaliate by buzzing Russia with some Vulcans or the huge Victors.
@Crazyirish _ no V-bombers are much cooler
"we" have been buzzing Russia for 60yrs . Including their airspace . Its just common knowledge .
Much more modern than the Bear.
vulcan?
nah..
wellingtons or lancasters would do the job better
But-
When it comes to budget repairs, refuel, and re-arming Umm Uhh...
*-I don't think so, Lmao-** (Just a Jk, Lmao).*
How is it better than the Lightning
as an interceptor? Not trying to be a dick, I really don't know.
@@ivanovvasilievich8655 Well most of us Americans dont know what to think about the F35 yet, there so much back and forth we don't know what to believe. But seeing its latest program updates it seems to be pretty descent at maneuvering finally. The combat radious doesn't seem all that great they say and 180 rounds for the gun?? But hey, we all hope it turns out to be a good jet and it looks like it's coming around.
I love your channel, mate! - from Australia
✈✈ TU-92 & B-52. It's no wonder I love aviation so much ✈✈
The RAF used to (unofficially) love the Russian probes in the Cold War. They got to practise intercepts without having to pay for target missions.
Years from now the Cold War 2 will be listed in the history books. I'd say it started when Russia took Crimea in early 2014.
Don't forget Georgia.
They didnt take Crimea, the Russians and Ukrainians there voted for the referendum! Its 1 of the 14 points that Woodrow Wilson wrote of, on his nation states rights to selfdetermination! You 2 yahoos ought to educate Yourselves before speaking on MSM talking points of propaganda!
@@leoa4c no no no, NATO does no wrong, NATO are the good guys. That's why they've starved hundreds of thousands and continue to bomb the middle east.
@@alswann2702 I live in Atlanta, no Russkies here.
@ Rick I agree with all of this. There is no doubt that to the Russians, US reminds them of a modern day Nazi Germany. MSM did report that there Crimea voted to join Russia. Twice if I'm not mistaken.
Very good reconstruction. Very good diction speaker. Thanks.
I don’t think they actually go into UK airspace
is it that same type of bomber that dropped the most powerful bomb?
The airframes of the Tu-95MS and MSM today in Russian service are from 80s and 90s and they derive from Tu-142MK of the Navy. Different aircraft from Tu-95. The Tu-95MS's first flight is in 1979. Only cruise missile carrier. The "Tu-95 Bear" is not in Russian service since early 1990s.
Do you think the rear gunner could shoot down an incoming missile?
I must say, the Tupolev Tu..."Bear" is one of the beautiful, hardy aircraft the Russians have produced. Very impressive range and other recon capabilities too.
Great channel. Look forward to your videos.
The Bears make good snoopers and aircraft to test British/Nato radars and countermeasures. The Tu-160 flown at combat ceilings and speeds represent a real threat.
It has cruise missiles
Radar operators : " I spotted something. A bear flying toward us!"
It is an excellent weapons platform for conventional or nuclear threat. Evolved from the "Soviet" designed and built from a Tu-4 bull. Wish looks remarkably like the WW II B-29.
Well, the Tu-4 was just a reverse-engineered B-29 they captured
Just like the AK-47 is essentially a rip off of the German STG-44. If you're still rubbing sticks together to make fire because socialism has snuffed out qualities like personal initiative and innovation you imitate rather than innovate.
Other than they both have four engines and wings, they don't look anything alike
Douglas Burch I think Aaron meant that the Tu-4 and the B-29 looks remarkably alike. Which of course is not so remarkable since they are essentially the same aircraft.
I guess the Typhoon pilots will be really concerned about those 30mm tail guns
*HARDBASS INTESIFIES*
Silly old bears are just trying to give the RAF boys something to do on a dull Tuesday!
Still so impressive after all this time!
Nice video. But you put in the title that a russian bomber was flying over Britain and in the end the bomber just "came close" to the British air space which is a huge difference because if a russian bomber would enter the NATO air space, it would be shot down in the next second.
Right answer.
