Since BMW is overheating all the time, it would be awesome if you make some video of how you bleed the cooling system, I have my turbo Quite high and I can not bleed properly..
You need to modify something in the head gasket, or in admission galery, to rezist on that pressure, or just conect the high pressure to the admission on the head gasket with all standard ?
@@CannaCars For best performing oil return, it needs to be above oil level. That is not possible to do in oil pan on m5x on exhaust side, because the engine is in such a angle. So that's why it's on timing cover. To get it above the oil level.

I have been watching a bunch of your videos, as I am putting together a turbo kit for my m50, as well as figuring out tuning on my standalone ecu. I have seen many videos and photos regarding oil returns and I see many people returning to the oil pan, this is one of the first set-ups I have seen where it is returned to the timing cover. I would prefer to not have to remove the crank bolt/timing cover etc. If I do not have to. What do you think? BTW very nice looking exhaust manifold! It looks much better then the one I made lol
and you've built this engine with stock internals and n/a compression? i am going to boost my m50b25 soon but i dont want to blow the engine after 100 km. did it hold together? Greetings from germany, love the turbo series :)
+kristoman111 I will use PnP megasquirt from K-data called KDFI: www.k-data.org/kdfi-pnp-bmw-m50.html It's cheap, it works, it's plug and play and has integrated wideband controller. But it's not the greatest quality and the documentation is shitty.

@@nielshoekstra7009 You need maf from engine that has roughly the same hp that you want to acheive and you also need transfer curve for that. 1bar in b20 is max 300hp so euro s50 maf should be enough and you can get transfer curve for that from ms41 alpina b10 binary.

I will get a tune here in Holland, hopefully they are able to put it all together eventually. It's 2800cc. You should be able to start with that setup when you calculate the req. fuel for 2500cc engine. Of course you need to fine tune it anycase.
This car has 3.15 rear diff ratio with zf s5d 320z gearbox (straight 5) The rear diff ratio is ok for NA but it's way too short for boosted. We will have to change that later.
+Admir adi It's way too short ratio with that Gearbox. It's fine with the m20 getrag, because it has overdrive fifth gear. But in m52 gearbox has straight five, so it needs longer rear diff ratio. 3.15 or 3.07 is fine.

Mutta ennakot kun laittaa nollaan ja vaikka joku kuristin turbon imupuolelle, niin alkaa ne tehot tippumaan :D Tässä on vähän erikoisempi alusta, eli takana on m50 koneisen e34 525:n taka-akseli ja edessä on e36 325 olka-akselit, tolpat sekä jarrut. Tukivarret on e36 3.2 M3:sta ja tukivarsein takapuslat on e30 m3:sta. Tämä siksi, koska suurin osa ko. osista löyty jo suoraan omista romuläjistä, niin ei tarvinnut 325 osia lähtä ettimään. Niillä saa kans leimattua, mut uudempiin pitää olla jo abs:ät. Tmä on onneksi niin jeesuksen aikanen, ettei tarvi :D

Unfortunately I won't be making any kits. I have full day job, family and everything and this kind of thing isn't very profitable in Finland. So i'm just going to continue this as hobby.

We don't have exact numbers. But the m50 engine was 400€, m52b28 bottom end 200€, turbo 200€, injectors 300€, megasquirt 500€, fuel pump 150€, cooler 150€, maybe 500€ - 600€ for all the miscellaneous stuff.

Thanks! In e39 you have enough room for turbo to do top or bottom mounted turbo if you relocate stuff. Like washer fluid reservoir etc.

Intercooler? Turbo oil and water lines are connected to engine.

I want to run around 1 bar of pressure so i guess from what iv'e been reading that my MAF will be to small for the air flowing through

Boris Diamond With that hp goal I would not put turbo for that engine. It's easier, cheaper and faster to just swap m50b25 or m52b28 for that.
