He was the equivalent of Captain Planet and Superman to us when we were children. I saw him display severally. One of the memorable ones was a day he blocked the Krofrom street from Manhyia to Shinola all the way to Krofrom Traffic light. I had just closed from school (still in my school uniform).
With his bicycle and a very tight sport apparel, he displayed in the streets and blocked traffic. He took monies from all the drivers and gave to the kids.
I REMEMBER LOSING MY LUNCH BOWL THAT DAY. LOL😂😂😂
He was so charismatic and lovable. People have their own reservations about him but KUMASI loved him.
He was like ROBINHOOD sort-of. He literally took from the rich and gave to the poor. W)fa’oooo w)fa! ✌🏾

This is first hand info...this guy really knew Budo who was a ghanaian version of Robin Hood...stealing from the rich to help the poor.... l had a secondary school classmate who was said to be a distant cousin of Budo..while the seniors were
" homoing" us the form one boys, as was the tradition in those days, NOBODY dared to molest this boy. Budo"s story persists in the collective memory of Kumasi people till today.
