Great analysis of a film that challenges your assumptions about human nature. I love this movie because it makes you think, plus Joel Edgerton is excellent, as he is in everything.
I watched it at theaters and i watched it when it was available on streaming platforms. I think people over thiiiink movies instead of just taking them for what they are. I also find most people dont like movies where u have to pay attention n theres not a bunch of action and chaos. I call those people dumb 🤷🏻♀️ not sorry.
The movie probably would have been better received had it not been for the marketing. I think the studio knew marketing for what it actually was might not have drawn enough interest, hence the misdirection

I thoroughly dug this flick...the caravaggio-esque shadow play creates intense intimacy that lends to the existential dissonance of trusting!
