Welcome back to the farm, friends. Today we are not at the farm, instead we're taking you with us to a CHEESE MAKING course hosted by a homesteading friend.
Sharon teaches up how to make Goat milk Cotija -》 Cotija is an aged Mexican cheese made from cow's milk (normally) and named after the town of Cotija, Michoacán. White in color and firm in texture, its flavor is salty and milky. "Young" cotija cheese has been described as akin to a mild feta, while aged cotija is more comparable in flavor to hard, aged cheeses like Parmesan.
Sharon gives us a tour of her property and milking stalls as well as gardens and we share a lovely homestead cooked lunch and cheese tasting with our friends who also attended the course ‪@ROCKPILEOffgridHomestead‬, Sarah & Penny.
