2 years after posting this video, I only recently put the 'like' option on - as a way of paying respect to these beautiful artists. Thank you so much, Willy, thank you, Jack. And thanks to those who made this recording and to anyone who enjoys it - your comments are such positive vibes, thank you all. I just wanted to share this online - amazing footage, a real treasure.
Peace, love & good music to all, Cătălina (January 2013)
    - This Is the Way You Make A Broken Heart (inspired by The Way We Make a Broken Heart, written by John Hiatt)
Just one more night, she'll have to spend another night without you.
Now you're guilty of the same romance that I am too.
You'll get used to telling lies, feeling sorry when she breaks down and cries,
Now that the string's been attached, she gonna catch on.
Yes, this is the way you make a broken heart
Now lesson number one you just begin to hurt her so
And lesson number two she'll beg for you when the lights are low,
Then come lesson number three when she gets down on her knees,
begs you to stop at the door just before she comes apart.
Yes, this is the way you make a broken heart
Now we laid a trail of tears for her to follow
And we thought of every lie that she might swallow
Lesson number four there'll be no more for her to bear
And on some dark night we'll dim the light on this affair.
Well, she'll find somebody new who will probably mistreat her too,
There must be millions just like you and me, practiced in the art,
Yes, this is the way we make a broken heart...
    - Carmelita (written by Warren Zevon)
I hear Mariachi music on my radio and the tubes they glow in the dark,
I was with you in Ensenada, now I'm stuck here in Echo Park.
Now, Carmelita, hold me tighter, I believe I'm sinking down.
And I'm so strung out on heroin on the outskirts of town...
Well, I pawned my Smith & Wesson and I went to meet my man
Who hangs out on Alvarado Street by the Pioneer chicken stand.
Now, Carmelita, hold me tighter, I believe I'm sinking down
And I'm so strung out on heroin on the outskirts of town...
Well, I'm sittin' here, playing solitaire with my pearl-handled deck,
The county won't give me no more methadone and they cut off your welfare check
Now, Carmelita, hold me tighter, I believe I'm sinking down
And I'm so strung out on heroin on the outskirts of town...
