Echo needs more love. Outside a small number of scenes he's the Bad Batch member with the least amount of screen time. He's overshadowed by the personalities of the other Bad Batch members... also no reaction to Fives's death and INSTRUMENTAL discovery of the chips true purpose? WHERE IS THE BLACK SERIES/VINTAGE COLLECTION BAD BATCH ECHO FIGURE?!
Both Echo and Tech were little more than plot devices to talk tech jargon and provide exposition for the audience as they explain things to the crew. I think Echo literally had a total of 5 minutes of dialogue across the whole season.
@@ninyaninjabrifsanovichthes45 As a character, Tech is very 1-dimensional. @@KryyssTV Yeah, I agree with that statement. Tech gets lots of dialogue and scenes to show who he is- but he gets old pretty quickly. He did have some humorous scenes (I found it hilarious when he took over Cid's briefing in one episode.) I do feel like he got much more screen time than Echo (for better or worse.)
Echo was speechless because his whole squad was trained and lived there and that’s all gone he was so speechless that he didn’t say anything it’s what might have gone though his mind. Built for Clones Protected by Clones Destroyed By Clones
I liked it overall. I personally was ok with the random adventure stuff since I’ve always liked those stories in Star Wars. The only big problems I had were some of the cameos were laid on thick, the Martez sisters didn’t need to be in the show, Hera was cool but she kinda hijacked the show and I like Fennec but she felt pretty interchangeable. The other issue I had is the show doesn’t give us any sense of how much time has passed throughout the season.
Yeah I would have preferred more silent cameos, like how one of the commandos was scorch in that episode where they freed Gregor, it didn’t scream his name but was just a nice little Easter egg.
Yeah cameos need to mean something. The martez sisters made sense to me since that very slightly suggests ahsoka is involved with Rex in some way. She atleast had to have given their contact info to him. Hera’s cameo pretty much had to happen if ryloth was gonna be used. Zero issue there. But fennec didn’t bring anything to the table that another bounty Hunter could’ve done.
I do wish we would have more real echo whenever the bad batch talk down to regs he just stands there and acts like he was never one of them he also never talks about his past and when he talks it’s wooden as hell
This season of the bad batch gave me so much nostalgia, and the finale felt more personal to me. I was born with Attack of The Clones, grew up with The Clone Wars, and became an adult with The Bad Batch. Seeing the destruction of Kamino was like watching my childhood getting destroyed it was like a message saying that it’s time to move on from my childhood, that I can’t go back, but only remember.
I’d give it a solid 8/10 for the overall season. Though, there was a few episodes that certainly was filler, and probably not needed, but it’s been a solid start.
I like the show and love the characters. I want more, not less! More character development. More story arcs multi-episode. More planets, more Echo reminiscing about the past, more info about the Empire. I hope Disney doesn’t take the negativity and cancel it, but makes it’s great for season 2 because there’s so much potential in the setting and characters.
The season final might’ve been the best episode of the show. It was so cool seeing the reactions to the destruction of Camino and the end of the republic. It’s all about character development in that episode. And then agreeing to disagree just proves that there complex characters who are stuck in their ways and don’t always understand each other
The way I look at, who watches season 1 of the Clone Wars and thinks “damn that was a good season”. Season 1 of Clone Wars showed all of the flaws and immaturities of the main characters but because of that it created a great foundation for the characters to grow and mature. I feel Bad Batch will be very similar to this (even though Bad Batch season 1 is definitely better than season 1 of the Clone Wars). With this season finale it left all of the characters emotionally exposed and leaves a lot of room now for the cast to grow and deal with their situation understanding now Crosshair’s motives.
For me season 1 of clone wars is on par with bad batch s1 Given that they learned a lot over the years, it makes it less good objectively i guess The graphics and music are fucking awesome, buut the plots and character not this great yet
@@manuxx3543 the only reason I think season 1 of Bad Batch is better is just because of Ahsoka. Even though as a kid when season 1 premiered and I loved her, looking back on it now outside of the last quart of season 1 she is pretty unbearable. Don’t get me wrong it doesn’t ruin the season and I’m happy that they made her that way so we could watch her mature and become one of the best characters Star Wars has ever seen. But looking at the season objectively it lacked some of the more serious tones and the story arch’s outside of setting a base for our characters were pretty inconsequential.
@@ConairHockey Ashoka didn't brother me as much because there was so much going on and so many character around her that you could focus on them, and have others Pov Whereas with Rebels, S1 was Ezra and Zeb being kids and screaming all the time, you couldn't focus away they were mostly always there. I think bad batch suffers from this too because when they don't put the work in the main cast to make them interesting and develops, there's something lacking, (like echo the door opener has probably less character than Howzer) probably why having them as a background team on Ryloth Part 1 felt so refreshing
@@manuxx3543 that’s a fair point. But don’t even get me started on Rebels. I get why some people like it and sure there were some good story arcs but I could not stand watching it. As Clone Wars felt like a show made for everyone Rebels felt like a show made for kids.
There's a lot I want to see in season 2 - Howzer, more development for Echo and Crosshair, more Rex, Wolffe, etc - but I also really, really want to see Hunter take off that bandana
As much as I love to see Andrew making review, hidden details, and review videos, it’d be cool to get the NOSTALGIA that is Andrew’s gameplay videos, weird deaths in video games, just the classics
If only that happened, his gaming vids were my fav! Especially the ones when he played with his friends ( evan, orion etc) those were the vids id go and rewatch several times just bcs of how funny they were!
Not everything has to end on a cliffhanger. The danger they were in while Kamino was being destroyed was not a conclusion to what they all went through in this season. This season, from the main characters' perspective, was about control versus free will and the consequences of having the latter and the way the finale ended was a perfect conclusion. Leaving it at Tipoca city being destroyed would be a cheap and meaningless way to make the viewers feel obliged to watch season 2. TBB's problem isn't the Empire itself but becoming enemies with their brothers and the final arc with Crosshair solidifies this point
Tbh it makes me think of early seasons of the clone wars for a few reasons: lots of ideas being thrown around with some missing and some hitting, a healthy amount of filler, but overall enjoyable. When Bad Batch was good, I had a fantastic time watching it, often going back to rewatch episodes I enjoyed several times over, while the lesser stuff I just sort of ignore without it bothering me too much. I was a little disappointed with how they handled echo as he’s my favourite clone character and has a lot of potential in this show. I hope in later seasons they split up the team more and focus on individual characters. A good way to make up with echo would be to have an episode with just him and Rex, with echo explaining everything he’s been thinking since Kamino was destroyed; revealing he isn’t as comfortable talking about that with the others as he is with Rex. Doesn’t have to be action-packed, just two old friends having a chat. Overall it was a fun first season and I don’t regret seeing it. Animation, sound fx and music, visual design and world building was all incredibly well done, just needs some work in the writing department. I for one am looking forward to season 2.
2 complaints, 1 too much filler. Most of the episodes are just random adventures or quests. 2. Too much focused on Hunter. The other clones don’t get anywhere near as much stuff as he does. Especially Echo and Tech. Echo is such an interesting character as he was a reg and he is untrusting of the seps and still wants to fight for the republic even though it doesn’t exist. and we should see more of him fighting back against hunters orders. He just kinda complains and goes a long. But no I wanna see him not listen at all. Maybe in season 2 they’ll wanna kill some clones but echo won’t let them because they are still their brothers. So echo “joins” the empire. (Not really but he only does it to protect his brothers and make sure nothing happens to them) or something like that. Also echo should of been more attached to Rex than they made him be. Also we should get to see more of Crosshairs. He is basically the Sasuke of the bad batch. And I wanna see more from his perspective. Basically less filler. And less of hunter and more of crosshair echo and tech.
@@slaw2468 I didn’t mention him because I feel like he wasn’t increasingly unused but he also wasn’t incredibly overused he was kinda like the middle and what all the characters should be. They should all be the equal main characters.
When you realize that the clones are all child soldiers, it makes this all the more messed up. Honestly feel like this is a great squeal to the clone wars. These characters are not simple carbon copies of Jango, they're all individuals on their own.
To be honest, some episodes were great..but others were just full on fillers..And the final episode just felt meh in my opinion..Ill give it a solid 7.5/10
I honestly feel like people are making way too big a deal about the filler episodes and cameos and such. Clone Wars, Rebels and The Mandalorian all had episodes like that; heck, you can make the argument that basically the entirety of Clone Wars is pointless since by the end of it almost all of the good guys are dead and all of the good that they did was either undone or pointless. (Oh right: Spoilers if you haven't seen Clone Wars. Sorry.) Most of the episodes that people regard as filler still have significant moments of character development, awesome action scenes and if nothing else we still get to enjoy fun times with this lovable and awesome cast. Even if the episodes end the way they began, with the crew just flying off to parts unknown, they've always learned a valuable lesson, grown and mature to be even better people and grow closer together as a family unit; they're never quite the same as when the episode begins. The episodes where they are trying to figure out how to survive and discover their new purpose should be included in the effort of telling a concise story. All they knew before was life as soldiers defending the Republic, that was the whole reason why they even exist; now, everything is flipped on it's head, and the Republic they once swore to defend is now the Empire trying to destroy them. Where will they go? How will they survive? What is their purpose now? That's one of the main over-arching themes of the whole show, the Batch trying to find where they belong now. Even episode 10 is more than just "Omega's great at Chess"; it's about her wanting to do more to help the crew on missions and the crew struggling with that since their whole purpose is to keep her OUT of danger. And episode 16 may not have had a lot of story but it was an adrenaline inducing rush for survival episode. Will they make it? Will they have to leave someone behind? What will Cross-hair do? And after a heart-pounding series of events with even more story elements and character development thrown in, the manage to barely escape, and their conflict with Cross-hair has become even more layered and complicated. Nothing at all wrong with that and honestly a great place to leave off the season. Just because you can argue that 3 episodes out of 16 didn't add anything to the show doesn't take anything away from the other 13 that do, even if they only added a little. The fact that people are saying there's too much filler if anything shows me that the writers are doing their jobs perfectly; people are invested in the story, and they anxiously want to know more and see more. That's the mark of a great show right there. And I love that they're tying all of these different stories together; that's what fans have always wanted to see how all of these different places, people and events blend together in this wild and crazy galaxy. I mean heck, how many Star Wars videos are there on UA-cam of fans doing that exact same thing? Everything and everyone that appears always comes back and is relevant in some way; there's no coincidences or wasteful appearances, everything is on purpose and it all connects together somehow. Yet another mark of an excellent show. And I personally love all of the cameos of people from past and future shows. What happened to all of the other characters we met before? Are they alive? Is the Empire after them? Have they found a way to live peacefully? Are they safe? Where's Rex and what's he up to? Is Cad Bane still alive and will we ever see him again. These characters are all part of the Star Wars universe that fans know and love and have genuinely wanted to know what happened to them. They should be showing up and having a role in the story because they're a part of this story and the universe as much as anyone else, and again, they never show up without good reason. People went crazy (myself included) when Cad Bane and Rex returned and hopefully we'll see even more of them in Season 2, which I definitely can't wait for.
I liked the Bad Batch. I love their theme song. Which is why I was annoyed when they only played it in two of the sixteen episodes. Once in the first episode and once in the second-last. With an entire tv show dedicated to them, I thought it would have been played more often. Though, I did notice that we could only hear it when Crosshair was fighting with the rest of the Bad Batch. It makes sense, but I still wish it was played more often.
I wonder who they'll clone in the future. In OG bf2 they said that the Empire would clone from a variety of templates. Meaning the Empire had clones. I'd like to see how emperial clones stack up against republic clones.
Disney: Star Wars fans are so hard to please, why did they hate our movies? Fans: Omg they used the sound effects from the Bounty Hunter game's pause menu!
Ryloth arc was one of my favorite moments from Season 1. Also loved everything with Rex. I really enjoyed the season finale. The Batch working together as a team to find a way to escape from the ruins of Kamino felt like rebirth in their own terms. Great Review👍🏻
I think the problem was that George Lucas had some many ideas that he wasn't able to put them into three films. That big, that's why people loved the clone wars cause they made the prequel trilogy relevant to the story. Anakin was probably built up to a complicated character. From the perspective of his friends he was a good and loyal friend, from Anakin's perspective he questioned if that was even true and because of that he eventually ended up becoming Darth Vader.
Loved the review Bombastic! My favourite episode would be ep14, seeing those commandos and tk’s was awesome. I love both of their armours, and a good use of the Ralph Macquarie concept art. In the bounty Hunter arc over the season, why does no one carry on hunting Omega after they escape on the Kaminoan facility? Surely there would be an episode after this where a bounty Hunter could attack them? Anyways,I love seeing how big your channels got bro, I’ve been subscribed since 2015 with the BF1 days, good times. I remember when I asked you to bring the Lando laugh back and you did like 2 weeks later!!
I feel like crosshair wanted to go with them like he knows deep down that the empire isn’t good for the galaxy. But because he was probably being watched he decided to not go with his brothers fearing that he’d be hunted down by someone worse than bounty hunters maybe?
yeah, also some content which would be really epic to see is hour long videos maybe once a month of uncut of star wars games, literally any star wars game like the republic commando; really enjoyed that! I may or may not be the only one, just thought it'd be cool to see
I didn't like episode 10 either but I think the space chess part was actually important, it shows that she knows strategy, which can help the team with different missions.
not me, star wars is a lot better when its not related to the bigger cannon. I honestly dont care about the empire anymore, we khow how they get destroyed. I would rather focus on charecters and worldbuilding then pointless fights with the empire that dont mean anything in the bigger picture.
@@koolerman4443 The best parts and episodes of the show have been with imperial/empire involvement. Some of the episodes that lack that have been quite boring.
@@11ben1000 Becouse of the characters. The bad batch aside from hunter and omega aren't intriguing or interesting to watch. Thats why the impirial episodes are good, becouse we aren't focusing on the batch. The clone wars was a show full of fillers, but it was the charecters that made the show.
Perhaps the head band is what allows him to sense electical impulses and he only told people it was his augmentation. His augmentation of course being injected with the blood of 5 action heros to make him the ultimate 1 man army.
People like to hate on the 6th episode of the bad batch, but I think it was all worth the amazing scene where he's hit on the head and starts to repeat the mantra "good soldiers follow orders." One of the most chilling moments in the whole show
It’s better when you go back through. They’re the A-Team in space. The in between episodes are good. Teaching Omega bomb disposal, learning how to negotiate, developing her compassion, and the Batch learning how to live in the real world, they’re not even teenagers after all. It’s Good Star Wars, really good. You can’t get everything you want in season one, I want 3-5 seasons.
I genuinely think that there was 2 episodes made for the finale part 2, one for the situation if there was no season 2 and one if there was. I think the finale we missed out on may have been very similar to the one we saw but with Omega possibly being the only survivor. I think each bad batch member would have sacrificed themselves at each dramatic moment in the finale part 2 until only Omega was left. Though instead these were tension builders for essentially nothing.
Season 2 was made for the Bad Batch before Season 1 even aired. People forget Animation on this level has to be done a full year to 2 years before airing. My bet is Season 3 may be on the can in a month or two.
@@GRIGGINS1 Yes but if it was cancelled because of bad reviews or low viewership then it would have been canceled so would have needed the story to be wrapped up.
@@malfieri760 they don’t have to be killed off to “wrap it up”. In fact that would be bad business because even if this show was cancelled the characters could be used again in something else.
Id overall give the season 8.5 out of 10. There were a few filler episodes, yeah, but I really enjoyed the first few episodes, rhyloth arc, war mantle (Scorch episode), and the two finale episodes, although part 1 was better than part 2 no doubt EDIT: forgot about the Bracca episodes, they were really fun too
I'm glad you noticed that detail about the ship and the platform. No one else seems to be talking about this. Tech should of said now we give you a choice come wish or drown 🤣🤣
Needs less sidequests with Cid and more of what makes the series interesting -- the early transitional period between the Republic and Empire and the resulting ramifications on the clones after Order 66. Otherwise, a good show. Hopefully the Bad Batch ditch Cid and join up with Rex and start a clone rebellion of sorts. That is what I would like to see.
You people are crazy, this show was amazing. Maybe it's the fact you all watched it week to week, but good lord, when you discover it on one go, it's such a great ride. Much better than anything we saw recently, yeah I'm looking at you Obi-Wan Kenobi 👀
Overall the Season for me is pretty 7/10. There were way to many cameos from characters who didn't need to appear such as Fennec and the Martz Siblings, however there were equally good cameos such as Hera and Rex, but all these old and new characters took away the focus from the Bad Batch and as such they feel rather under developed. Also the season plays too loose with when everything takes place like are we only a month after the war ended and we are having clones phased out this fast? I would like to know how much time passed between the first and last episode just so I can have a timeline of events. The filler in the show was rather minimal in the grand scheme of things but when it was there it was obvious and borrring, the thing with Cids rival was unneeded entirely. Honestly the pacing felt like the shitshow that was Rebels; where the characters are doing things but it never feels like there is consequece, though unlike that show these characters are likeable. Also the "threat level" of the enemies they face are at the bottom teir as they are now facing the Disney Canon Empire who have a 1 in 100,000 chance to hit something, so you know rather than feel the Bad Batch are gonna be facing a growing threat instead its a diminishing one once they fully switch to the Stormtroopers, and Tarkins short sighted doctrine. While this season wasn't outstanding if it follows Faloni's track record this should be a truely great show come season 2.
Considering how first season went, I have feeling its ment mostly as show of transition from Republic to Empire, along with showing that Bad Batch has somewhat influenced future (I mean, if they had contact AND helped both characters that later on become lovers, along with showing they had contact with others Rex had contact with... Too much to be a coincidence in my opinion) All in all, I sorta have feeling that "last" episode of Bad Batch will be with whole squad dying and Crosshair redeeming him self and his poor choice by saving Omega from death but leaving her alone as rest of the squad is gone in blaze of glory...
I loved it, There were musical call backs, character development, scene callbacks, I looked forward to it every week, I believe its a take from Bb, and there survival in the era of the Empire. This may develop into the rebellion, but who knows. There are so many directions for it to go in. GL started the story, and now DF is continuing the leap of faith into the largest galaxies created in the SW universe. A solid 10 out of 10 Mtfbwy x
I found 7 of the 16 episodes interesting and honestly could skip the rest and understand the story as there was little to no development. I give it a 6/10 as the era was really cool but I found the side missions rather painful to watch. Would’ve preferred more of a mini series approach with a siege of mandalore quality to it.
I liked the show, but i needed a bit to get into it, after the banger episode 1, it dropped off really hard, because I didnt liked omega at first, but the show (as well as omega) developed in a much more serious direction. I really feel like omega should be more than just a random, different clone, eventhouh i think we will get more information on her, but what we got until now, is not really much. Tbh, i thought from episode 1 on, that omega would be sensitive to the force, not like a jedi, but a tiny bit, i thought she was some experiment in that direction, since we all know that palpatine got recreated.
I just don’t get the people saying the show is just okay, or underwhelming. It seems like they’re looking for things to be mad about. Take out the filler, and it’s definitely Mandalorian tier, if not Clone Wars tier. And I think we can all agree that’s it’s the best first season of all the animated Star Wars shows.
I love the filler and rag tag adventures in bad batch. I think it’s important to be reminded what a character’s everyday life is like so you can understand why they react the way they do when something unusual happens. Think about how much time was spent in the first 3 domino squad episodes where domino squad was just talking, or arguing, or reminiscing. Literally all of the republic commando game was just 3 completely self contained missions with no story arc other than “we’re soldiers, and brothers, and there’s a war on”and most people still seem to like it.
As a monarchist and enemy of republican tyranny, I found the episode on Raxus to be the most interesting, and loved Senator Avi Singh. I feel like he could one day lead a real Confederacy of Independent Systems (free of Sith influence and corporate greed this time), and I hope one day he meets up with General Kalani; the two of them are like the last leaders the CIS has that we know of. Senator Singh reminds me of me; traditionalist, enemy of republican or self-proclaimed authoritarian tyranny, he even has friendly mutton-chops and wears a monocle, just like me! I also enjoyed seeing more of the Tactical droids in that episode as they were very neat and highly underused; if the Martez sisters hadn't been included that episode would've been a 10 for me just to see what happened to all the droids after Order 66. I wish we'd gotten there sooner though and seen more than just 1 Tactical droid, and I wish we'd been able to see it fully functional.
I wholeheartedly agree about this. But I also have this thought process in the back of my head as well. Clone Wars season 1 was fine (Not as epic as the later seasons, but definitely fine) Rebels Season 1 was eh... Okay (Later seasons getting REALLY good) Resistance season 1 was... well, pretty bad (Season 2, not THAT bad, but still not good) Mandalorian season 1 was pretty good (Season 2 was even better) What I am getting at here is that there is a familiar pattern with all of these shows. Season 1 is not the best of the entire franchise. It gets better every single season. And I believe the Bad Batch will be the same too. Dave Filoni and the boys KNOWS how to make a series get better. Clone Wars and Rebels are testaments to this.
lots of fillers, but the worldbuilding was great. i was afraid that omega was a ma REY sue, but im happy that dave filoni still knows how to make good charaters. echo was a bit sidelined (maybe because he is too similar to tech) *spoilers click read more to see what i think about echo* , and tech had no character development( and thats fine) but wrecker, hunter and sniper boy were great. a bunch of cameos, sometimes they feel unnnesesary, but theyre still fun. whats sad for me is that the crew is in the same spot they were after episode 4 or 5, so the finale changed almost nothing in their lifes. favorite episode: aftermath. i wouldnt say this show is better than clone wars or 3rd and 4th season of rebels, but its on the ,,1st and 2nd season of rebels" level. fun episodes of unique crew fighting the emipire. 7,9/10 about echo: i hope in season 2 after he gets his new arm we saw in the merch leak, he'll have more screen time. oh and frick martez sisters.
I never really minded the Martez sisters too much, it's only when their on screen for too much that they'll start to get annoying. Edit: I do agree with your Echo statement.

My biggest problem with the show was Crosshair. Like, they're always talking about how much of sucks that they lost Crosshair but from the moment we first meet him in the Clone Wars he's a massive jackhole and is never shown to be anything else. Like, I genuinely do not care about Crosshair turning evil because I do not care about Crosshair. It would have been better if he hadn't gone bad so they could take time to develop him beyond just being a jerk and then if they really have to have him turn it could be at the end of the season where we've learned to like him and now his turning actually hurts. Aside from that, good show. 👍🏻
I feel like Wrecker should have died in the finale. It would have been such a twist, that these super clones aren’t invulnerable and maybe have given him a nice ending
it really was sad to see the images of inside Kamino, the mess hall, hall ways, rooms, and then see the clones be ordered to destroy their home, watch it burn and sink into the ocean, using their Star Destroyers (Venator Class) that once protected the planet, now destroying it (the city at least). I am hyped for season 2, since more old characters come back from the Clone Wars series, specially one who worked so closely with the Bad Batch in the clone wars even though we were only told this in season 7 of the Clone Wars, Commander Cody showing up with Crosshair in the trailers and even using a Vibroknife which is said to be one of Cody's weapons of choice even though we never see one on him, but we do in the trailer, but it could be Hunter's knife since it looks similar, and the Bad Batch armour now has the same colours as the 212th, one of Cody's main battalions except Wrecker who seems to be more yellow.
Look I get it the Martez sister’s aren’t the best characters. However I feel like at this stage people just take the opportunity to rage about them whenever they can. Like calm down they were in one episode of BB. That doesn’t mean that the show suffered because of it. Also we just need to give the show some time. Both Rebels and Clone Wars started off slow. You need a foundation to get to your seige of mandalore’s. The show is only going to get better.
The fact people were content to have a shallow and aimless narrative just because it was Star Wars doesn't bode well for how inclined Disney will be to actually make an effort with season 2. If we're all happy with the Star Wars equivalent of junk food, we're only fueling the corporate machine which will just mass produce bland, formulaic movies and shows over and over.
9.5 out of ten. I just love all the tie-ins these creators are doing. It makes everything so much more understandable, well written, and full circle. The fact we see everything falling into place like a puzzle makes it worth watching. You can't ask for more content when you're given it, and given it well. I can wait until 2022, because what we got was worth it. It certainly will be worth waiting, because you know they'll do a good job.
They should have kept the chip in crosshair at least a little bit longer. I dont mind that he chooses to stay but we didnt get any character development or anything that explains his thoughts and now the writers are like "iF yOu wAtcH yOu wiLl unDerstAnd" like no bitch we will not understand something we see once a month without any story.
@@hamontequila1104 yeah tech and echo just get left behind from character development
Damn, bro. That's deep

Life coaching lessons from Hunter.
I’d give it a solid 8/10 for the overall season. Though, there was a few episodes that certainly was filler, and probably not needed, but it’s been a solid start.
I’d give it a 3, certainly better than rebels but that’s not saying much
@@ashtonmillis4951 wow, that’s low? It wasn’t that bad man, surely!? Yeah a few episodes hit and Miss but no where near a 3/10!?
I'd take the "filler" every time
@@ashtonmillis4951 3? Pan that's harsh! And rebels was excellent too, way better than at least the first few seasons of the clone wars
I would give it a 6, many of the episodes where kinda boring
I like the show and love the characters. I want more, not less! More character development. More story arcs multi-episode. More planets, more Echo reminiscing about the past, more info about the Empire.
I hope Disney doesn’t take the negativity and cancel it, but makes it’s great for season 2 because there’s so much potential in the setting and characters.
The season final might’ve been the best episode of the show. It was so cool seeing the reactions to the destruction of Camino and the end of the republic. It’s all about character development in that episode. And then agreeing to disagree just proves that there complex characters who are stuck in their ways and don’t always understand each other
I thought it sucked :/
@@cyrusdobe5617 that's kinda sad tbh, I also though it was great.

I completely agree
For me season 1 of clone wars is on par with bad batch s1
Given that they learned a lot over the years, it makes it less good objectively i guess
The graphics and music are fucking awesome, buut the plots and character not this great yet
@@ConairHockey Ashoka didn't brother me as much because there was so much going on and so many character around her that you could focus on them, and have others Pov
Whereas with Rebels, S1 was Ezra and Zeb being kids and screaming all the time, you couldn't focus away they were mostly always there.

@@porgzs3208 that’s true, but still just any bf2 gameplay w the boys or maybe some new mods would be enough
Definitely an 8 out of 10. A good start to the series.
Yep! I think so too!!!
Bombastic thumbnail: better then the clone wars?

Quick answer to why they don't remove Hunter's band: They don't want to remodel him for a few scenes.

2 complaints,
1 too much filler.
Tech and echo is my favorite

Kinda disappointed in season 1, but let’s hope season 2 has delta squad
The biggest problem I have is the lack of caracter development. Hunter is the only one who really changes in the series.
I wonder who they'll clone in the future. In OG bf2 they said that the Empire would clone from a variety of templates. Meaning the Empire had clones. I'd like to see how emperial clones stack up against republic clones.
It’s spelled Imperial, not emperial.

It’s better when you go back through. They’re the A-Team in space. The in between episodes are good. It was a damn good episode. It really felt like a Clone Wars episode to me.

Too much to be a coincidence in my opinion)
All in all, I sorta have feeling that "last" episode of Bad Batch will be with whole squad dying and Crosshair redeeming him self and his poor choice by saving Omega from death but leaving her alone as rest of the squad is gone in blaze of glory...
Lama Su *is* dead. You can hear a muffled blaster shot when the doors close.
I loved it,
There were musical call backs, character development, scene callbacks, I looked forward to it every week, I believe its a take from Bb, and there survival in the era of the Empire.
This may develop into the rebellion, but who knows. There are so many directions for it to go in. GL started the story, and now DF is continuing the leap of faith into the largest galaxies created in the SW universe.

I found 7 of the 16 episodes interesting and honestly could skip the rest and understand the story as there was little to no development. Cad Bane's droid
Todo isn't a techno service droid. HE'S A BOUNTY DROID ;)
I wish we'd gotten there sooner though and seen more than just 1 Tactical droid, and I wish we'd been able to see it fully functional.

that one horned guy, the whole episode I thought he was Vizago.
Better than seasons 1-3 and 6 of clone wars over all 9/10 I loved seeing this era of a young empire in Star Wars
I wholeheartedly agree about this. But I also have this thought process in the back of my head as well.
Clone Wars season 1 was fine (Not as epic as the later seasons, but definitely fine)
Rebels Season 1 was eh... Okay (Later seasons getting REALLY good)
Resistance season 1 was... well, pretty bad (Season 2, not THAT bad, but still not good)
Mandalorian season 1 was pretty good (Season 2 was even better)
What I am getting at here is that there is a familiar pattern with all of these shows.

When he said Crosshair is going to drown I was like that’s exactly what I was thinking when I watched it
My biggest problem with the show was Crosshair.
Whats strange is how Echo joins the bad batch and Domino squads training made us know of the bad batch.
I feel like Wrecker should have died in the finale. It would have been such a twist, that these super clones aren’t invulnerable and maybe have given him a nice ending
No
You're 100% wrong about the one with the Martez sisters. And they aren't that bad. The episode is completely memorable.
it really was sad to see the images of inside Kamino, the mess hall, hall ways, rooms, and then see the clones be ordered to destroy their home, watch it burn and sink into the ocean, using their Star Destroyers (Venator Class) that once protected the planet, now destroying it (the city at least).
Roland Durand was the smuggler from rebels lol. He was such a minor character so I don’t get why they spent a whole episode focusing on him
No he wasn’t
yeeess finally i also wanted more echo in the final damn i hate it that he got so less focus
There is no such thing as filler in a Dave Filoni show. Only future plot points.
Bombastic: how did they survive? They fell 100s of meters
Me: clearly hunter just turned on creative mode
If Hunter survived that fall then Mace Windu survived his.
But Mace didn't have armour.
Plot armour
THE HEAD BAND WHEN THE CHIP GOT REMOVED LMFAO
Some real world building will come when Hunter takes his headband off
11:54 I think this is the smuggler guy from rebels that is from the same race and is also missing a horn
That’s not vizago
If there was a bad batch game or in battlefront 3 they have to give echo his droid outfit
You forgot to review the ryloth rescue episode where the Bad Batch rescue the syndullas.
yo bombastic, how do you record the scenes since disney+ blocks it?
He uses secret kaminoan technology
Lol
I agree the last episode should have ended with the destruction of kamino. Would have been the best cliffhanger
I feel like it had a bit too many filler episodes. But over all it didnt disappoint. 7/10.
I thought Roland Durand was set up to be visage from rebels (with the cut off horn)
you can't lie the ahsoka and matraz sisters arc was important to ahsoka's charator devepolpent
Idk but I think that Durand guy was in Star Wars rebel and often seen on Lothal in the first season and the last one.
Agreed
I think its safe to say that this is the end of the prequel era
They should have kept the chip in crosshair at least a little bit longer. I dont mind that he chooses to stay but we didnt get any character development or anything that explains his thoughts and now the writers are like "iF yOu wAtcH yOu wiLl unDerstAnd" like no bitch we will not understand something we see once a month without any story. They just focused on omega and hunter, left other members just hanging like echo, this isnt the type of writing i like
They need make another clone wars series need to take place right of after the battle of geonosis
Or about the 2nd clone wars
Or just switching from regs to regs stories as they die/survive. Giving a different perspective from a regular clones point of view.
Bombastic: BETTER THAN CLONE WARS?
CW fans: I'm sorry sir, but it's time for you to leave
Keep in mind that "he's more machine than man", so... It's a miracle he's even kinda sane.
