There is also a little moment where the boys reminisce about injuries that stopped them from being as contender. There are discussions on how the data presented in game can be made easier to digest, not saying anything needs to be stripped back. And there's also chat about potential different game modes or scenarios that FM players could use throughout their game.

Had a journalist in the press conferences bring up my birthday - I responded with something about not paying much attention to it, then was greeted with a headline saying "confused manager forgets own birthday".

Great vid! talking about save ideas and how to have an end point. I did a journeyman slightly differently on FM24, which was more structured and gave me a set challenge and something to aim for. Basically I broke it down into levels, so start at the bottom and gradually move up. Load the 5 lowest ranked nations I was interested in and get a job in one of those nations, but in order to move onto the next level I had to win the League and top cup in that nation, once that's done I left and then loaded the next batch of 5 nations. Each time the tier of nations gradually improved. The ultimate step was to get to tier 1 (England, Spain, Germany, Italy etc). My path in FM24 was Albania, Finland, Romania, Tunisia, Uruguay, Croatia, Colombia, Portugal, Spain.
Re: Women's teams - there's apparently 25k+ women in the database, so we can safely assume that there's gonna be a decent amount of leagues in there. I'd expect WSL, US, Spain, Germany, Italy and France at the very least to be in there.
Women's football will be a great save idea to start with to be honest. Finances are like football in the 80s/90s, structures are there to be developed and brought on over time and most of the big clubs are recognisable as they are also big men's clubs.
(In England you're looking at Chelsea, Man City and Arsenal, of which Arsenal are the *Biggest* out of them but they've not won the league in a while as Chelsea have just won 5 WSLs in a row). Then you have Liverpool, Villa and Man Utd who are lagging behind those guys but with big plans.
Spain you have Barca. Who are chock full of world class players. With Real Madrid emerging out of the shadows in a hunt for their first title.
France you have PSG, Lyon and Paris FC.
Germany have Bayern, Wolfsburg and Frankfurt
And in Italy you have Juventus who were unstoppable until Roma just came out of nowhere after being established in 2018 and won the last two titles.
Lots of major clubs on the men's side are yet to have anywhere near the success on the women's side because the landscape is so different.
With women's football coming into the game, the only thing with it I'm hoping for is that manager movements don't become too unrealistic since you can go between both in the same save. I know there's at least a few examples where some have gone between both, but I don’t know if we'll see AI managers just jumping between men's and women's jobs all the time.
It’ll be interesting to see how they handle it.
I Would love a video from RDF explaining how to look for weakness and how to exploit it. i feel like that is something im missing from my game.
like i can see i always struggle against a 5back defensive team... but then what, how do i actually look for something i change?

I think people find the game too easy because the meta tactics and procedures have all been figured out and are used to death.
I’m also getting a chuckle from you still coming up with ideas for future games, at this rate we’ll be lucky to get a game as good as last years
I'd love to see someone on YT do a save with my hometown club FK Inđija in the Serbian First League. They are actually pretty good for their league and are always favorites to promote. I'd love to see someone make them the third big Serbian club next to Crvena Zvezda and Partizan. It's also very personal to me since I literally live next to their stadium.
What’s the level of Serbian league football at nowadays?
@@TheFMShowPod The Super League has fallen off. Before it was in the top 10 of Europe. Now it's somewhere between 10-15. Cvezda dominates while their main rival Partizan has been falling apart for years. The new interesting thing is that a lot of clubs are now fighting for the 2nd spot now that Partizan is closer in quality to the rest.
My save is going to be a Journeyman, I like building my career from scratch but at the moment I am just seeing Women's Football management as being the normal game with Regionaire restrictions on all the clubs. I'm really hoping on my Journeyman I get opportunities to bounce between both sections. But I like starting with no coaching badges and see where I land, I think it's the unknown building a Club, finding players and staff in each save who I then bring along with me. My last save I had the same Head of Youth and Assistant Manager at 4 clubs.

Everton have been brought by the Freidkin group (Owners of Roma) I believe our FFP situation has calmed down now so there is a chance the owners could spend a little money. The new stadium will boost income too, tho it may take a few updates for FM to replicate this I always love to see people streaming/playing Everton saves! 💙
Could be interesting- though Newcastle seem a little more spendy in game than IRL

Do any of you guys have concerns about FM25? There are a few UA-camrs that have made videos saying they are concerned because at this stage there isn’t that much info available like in previous years

@@TheFMShowPod hopefully its still an option when the games released. Ive always made my own databases in the game since the early FMs, i share them sometimes on FMScout and Steam for others to enjoy.
I don’t need the messages to say I need to go get fitted for my suit but it is a funny thought….. but the manager wages are pointless to me cos if you ask for a maximum wage you are getting all these wages and they just disappear which is why I always lower the wage as much as possible just so there is more money for player wages

i am convinced that on long saves FM does a poor job at creating and progressing newgens. they get created with often some very screwy stats that are totally unbalanced or so low in some areas that it effectively makes them useless as high level pros ... and very often they have stats for one position but are naturals at a totally unsuitable position. sometimes the rare high PA newgen can overcome that because all of their stats are going to go way up but often times those players that have PA between 120-150, the kind that are the mainstay of non elite clubs, never recover from this totally screwy or imbalanced stats that they start off with. it would be far more likely in reality to have lots of players 20 seasons in that have 12s all around then tons with two 18s but then a 7 stamina and 4 strength (or even lots of around 5ish scores) which is what happens when so many newgens start with a 1 in a stat. If you start with 1 in a stat most of the time you'd never make it to an academy much less thru to a pro team.

The best choice is dont play a save this year, Its a console game now just to add to the big issues it already has. Zero AI on managers with zero squad management, over blown stats on all players , 19-20 numbers everywhere. Stripping away mechanics to make one game for all formats ( its for consoles now) add the kick in the teeth of forced womans data into your save (you cant choose to not load it) Its not the same sport , its at a level of teenage boys standard so that throws up stats for woman players compared to men and plus nobody wants it or will play it. They should just make a new spin of game or DLC for womens football. But yeah games dead, time for a new company to step up.
It blows my mind that there’ll be a game in 2025 called Football Manager that doesn’t let you manage your country, when games were doing that in the 90’s.
