I did the same thing in my TSW journey... Ditched all and any social media and groups content that discussed TSW. It was brining me down and making me feel despondent and discouraged. Once I removed my self, I observed big shifts in my energy and my healing.
I came upon your yt channel tonight. I have subbed : ) I feel better already after viewing this video. I have rosacea & Mild psoriasis - It comes & goes ... I ''did'' the whole the adding of or removing certain food thing, ''special lotions & potions'' (cute lol) etc Now i just ''roll with it' ... Have I tweaked a few things, yes : ) Most time sit works, BUT like you said, sometimes not ~ Thank-you again for such Great ~ Thoughts, tips, reflections etc !! Much Appreciated, Cindy : )
Thank you!! This is the most honest video I've seen. And I'm like how you were, I've seen every single video about TSW. But then yours came up. So in this case, I'm thankful I was looking for new content. I get flare-ups when I'm on my period. And they are brutal. Like worse than my initial TSW. I am 3 months in. So I feel I have a long way to go. But I stress about it almost every day. Working from home isn't an option, so I have to go to work every day with my condition. Which is stressful. But you are right, I have to stop researching like every second I get. And about the diet thing....I eat meat. I cannot be a vegan or vegetarian. I drink wine once in a while and I work out every day, which makes me sweat and flare. But this is my life. If I cut everything that is my every day life, then that will trigger more stress I think. I'm really healthy and fit. So I just have to wait this out. Again, thank you so much for your great advice. 👍
I just wanted to say thank you so much for making this video and sharing your insight + tips. Almost 2 years ago I survived having Stevens Johnson Syndrome and after a year of recovery I started developing topical steroid withdrawal as well… I’ve been feeling so alone and I have been so hopeless about finding different ways to heal, I really appreciate your transparency and your positive outlook!! This advice was golden ❤️🙏🏽
Thank you for sharing a glimpse of your experience. I know the journey through the unknown can be daunting, but every morning is a brand new day to try again. ❤️
You are welcome! These 8 things changed my life, it was a lot of work and effort with boundaries and retraining my thought processes and changing my lifestyle but it was all worth it. If you are going through TSW, you will walk through and out of this a different (and better) person 🙌
Yes! Excellent content. You put into words what was always in my head! Out of all the TSW content I found yours to be the most helpful . Thank you for these videos!
Im from NYC and given TS for eczema and psoriasis- taken for 8 days and stopped. Did not want to continue the full two weeks. Having skin under feet the sole and heel area. I need help. Im applying VTAMA now and hope it will help.

Amazing content! I am so glad you brought this up. I had this mind but was not believing in it until you came up with it. I am in TSW 13 th month getting better but not completely out of it. I almost stopped eating and lost 27 pounds. Then slowly introducing one by one. Spent a lot on all types of medications and vitamins. Now cold Turkey is the way to go.
@@sensitiveskinlifestylecan I ask you a question? As you experienced TSW on face aswell could you tell me if you experienced hot flashes of face like flushing when panicked or frightened? That feels like pins and needles on the face and subsides with cold air or water? Or on it’s own in few minutes . I felt it more in the beginning but calming down or fewer episodes with time. I don’t know if you can understand my question well but if you do please answer.
Hey @Momina213, during TSW, I experienced a stinging feeling all over and especially on my face, forehead, neck, arms, wrists. The stinging pain felt like pouring acid on open wounds. I experienced it all the time but at different intensities. Could that be what you described as pins and needles? Yes, cold weather, cold air, especially winter air, soothed and calmed my TSW skin. Soft and smooth cotton clothing also helped lessen the stinging pain. I shared more about that in this video 👉 ua-cam.com/video/lQGHuUWw98E/v-deo.html Yes, cold water also helped to soothe the stinging pain. If I experienced extreme emotions such as sudden stress, fear or panic, the stinging pain and itch (that felt like ants crawling under my skin) would intensify and I would break out into a bad itch. Usually in those cases I would take a long cold shower, dry myself well then apply moisturizer, wear some clean comfortable clothes and try to rest/calm myself down in a quiet, clean and comfortable environment. When I feel at peace, comfortable, calm, and not pressured or stressed, the stinging pain would be less intense and more bearable. Over time, the stinging pain started to slowly subside. It comes and goes. Even after, I stopped experiencing TSW symptoms, and the scratched up skin started to heal, I still experienced very sensitive skin that felt like a very mild version of the TSW stinging skin pain (hyper skin sensitivity) - it comes and goes. So, I continued to protect my skin the same way I did during TSW. Over time, the stinging sensation or very sensitive skin got milder and milder (comes and goes) until one day I realized my skin feels like normal again. Hope this helps❤️
Hi! You can find the moisturizers I use in this video ua-cam.com/video/Wk_-05o4AP0/v-deo.html My thoughts of NMT: 1. Listen to your body. If it works for you, then go ahead. If it doesn't, then stop & reconsider. 2. NMT did not work for me. Despite many people online raving about NMT, my skin could not tolerate not being moisturized for even 30 mins. When I tried NMT, my skin became dry, tight & painful. I could not tolerate the pain of not moisturizing - it made me more stressed, uncomfortable and the dryness of the air intensified that stinging pain and caused me to scratch more, worsened the skin shedding, caused the itching to spread and caused my skin barrier to break more. 3. Withdrawal is an effect of your body becoming dependent on something. In the case of TSW, corticosteroids and other prescription drugs contain active ingredients which will cause our body to become dependent on the drugs, hence when you stop using steroid creams after overusing and becoming dependent on the drug. However, moisturizers are not prescription drugs. Based on the underlying concept of moisturizer withdrawal, I would need to use more and more moisturizer as my skin improved. Conversely, over a long period of time, as my skin barrier started to recover , I started to use less moisturizer. I still mositurize often, but the amounts I use are way way less than compared to during TSW as my skin barrier is fully intact. 4. In my experience, the theory of "no pain no gain" does not apply to TSW recovery. If a moisturizer is uncomfortable or not suitable, find one that feels more comfortable on your skin instead of going NMT (unless NMT works for you). I shared some thoughts, but at the end of the day, listen to your body, and if you feel like NMT helps, then try it. If you feel that it's not helping or worsening your symptoms, then stop. I touched on some things in regard to moisturizing in this video as well ua-cam.com/video/lQGHuUWw98E/v-deo.htmlsi=GvgkKYE30jrC-c_B I moisturized my way out of TSW. Moisturizing also helps prevent premature skin aging. Hope this helps!❤️
Never had dupixient. Apart from the very occasional antihistamines and a 14 day course of non-steroidal antibiotic cream (due to infection), I did not take/use any prescription drugs or creams during the later part of my TSW journey. I did go through UVB phototherapy (doesn't involve any drugs) for months but it didn't do much, apart from feeling cared for by doctors - I stopped due to no significant skin improvement. if I were to go back in time I wouldn't do it again. But this just my personal experience.
I used steroids on my face due to redness and irritation and now I believe that it has thinned the skin on my cheeks. They feel extremely tight and uncomfortable. Can this heal now that I stopped using steroids ?

Agree... This lady speaks sense.
Very wise... I feel the same, I've also found that solutions keep me in the problem and prolong me from observing the problem itself( triggers etc)

Which moisturizers did you use? And what are your thoughts on NMT?
Hi! You can find the moisturizers I use in this video ua-cam.com/video/Wk_-05o4AP0/v-deo.html

Based on my personal experience , yes it can heal after you stop using steroids. It will heal, give it time and it will.
