great description can i ask my high presure pump is making noise was going to change it are they timmed pumps and how hard to replace any help would be great
hi They changes my tensioner in a workshop the one you show in your video that goes with the pin after replacing it the car refuse to start it gives us the error P0342 CMP sensor circuit low input. the car starts if you remove the Camshaft sensor from its place or simply disconecting the cable. We also tried with a new sensor and it does the same. What can it be?? can you please help?
I did the timing belt on my Mazda 6 2.0d the other week, but found the new belt was VERY loose. The part number printed on the belt is definitely correct for my car/engine, and I replaced both the tensioner pulley, the hydraulic tensioner and the idler pulley. I ended up re-using the old belt, which still seemed a little loose. Did you experience this too?
Hiya mate I have a 2004 2.0lt diesel is their a way I can check to see when my cam belt was done? It's done 173544 mile and is very squeaky there's no paper work and the garage can't confirm anything how ever he said it looks in good nick? I £900 for the car and I'm wondering should I just pay £500 for cambelt tensioner and water pump doing. Thanks mate great video!
JaySubi53 If you have no history with the car in regards to cambelt change and plan to keep it i would get it done.Just checking the belt is no sure way to see if it will last cheers for your comment
My water pump is making some very unhealthy noises, so I will be doing this job this weekend. This video is a great confidence boost, cheers buddy. :)

great video, though we need sequence for water-pump!
good luck. Internet mechanics wont show that because it's hard to do and stupid.

No i never had this problem unless the belt had a lot of slack on the non tensioned side before removing tensioner pin ?

JayJayJaroo thanks for the rapid response mate I'll ring about and see how much I can get it done for.
JaySubi53 Don't pay over the odds its not a overly complex cambelt change.Price for parts is what puts the price up having a hydraulic tensioner etc
JayJayJaroo ok thanks mate, how much would you consider a fair price?
is it the same with the 06 143hp engine?
Yes as far as i know
