Swami Vivekananda, the philosopher, author and a spiritual leader, swam from the shores of Kanniyakumari (Kanyakumari) to an islet in 1892 and meditated there for three days, and attained enlightenment. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also chosen the same rock, now called the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, to meditate from May 30 to June 1 to mark the end of BJP’s Lok Sabha election campaign.
During the end of the 2019 election campaign, PM Modi visited Kedarnath shrine in Uttarakhand for two days where he undertook a 15-hour ‘ekantavaas’ (solitary meditation).

Let PM Modi do meditation which is necessary after his very hectic election campaign. Vivekanand Rock at Kanniyakumari is an ideal place for meditation. PM Modi has popularized Yoga in the world. Meditation is another component of India's spiritual heritage. It will also become popular. These are the occasions to develop tourism. Incidentally, two days before election has become the ideal time because of foolish objection of opponent politicians.
Greater the controversy, bigger the advertisement & sharper the focus on "Meditation Tourism". This will popularize Meditation & help development of meditation centers in different parts of India offering Meditation for 6, 12, 24 hrs etc.
Lakshadweep is an example. Maldives politicians abuses & PM Modi just relaxing on Lakshadweep beaches diverted tourism from Maldives & catapulted tourism in Lakshadweep. Incidentally Swami Vivekananda who had done Meditation at Kanniyakumari also had 1st name Narendra.
