exactly, Miles did NOT like his ass at all! Said he played like a "pussy". Miles words, not mine. Said he had the skills, but no guts, too scared to get up on stage and just blow the shit up.
@@ziruini5071 Miles was after a new sound, orchestration and rhythm. He was searching for a new vocabulary, original phrasing. To me, this orchestration, and accompaniment is just not helping Miles' music to resonate at its best, apart from the bebop era compositions. Of course, it is professionally arranged, but in a somewhat archaic manner. Also, the tempos and solo distribution are not as flawless as usual. Funny, it is as if putting Miles' ghost in a cage that once he was trying to break free from. Miles' music has a distinct colour, and it's hard to find the same scale in this performance. Wynton's absence in the solos is quite evident. I like this band, and they had many brilliant concerts, with a very creative musical approach. It is just not one of them, I believe. It is a homage to the notes written on a page, but misses the essence, hence making me sad, 'cos I know they are capable of making great music. Thanks for asking.
Hilarious that these guys are so hardcore Jazz police that they can't even use the term "Fusion" for 1970s Miles, they have to call it "Rock Jazz"?!? 😂
rest in peace joe temperley, your playing will forever be a part of jazz culture.
Wonderful Alí Jacksons, and all musicians! Good democracy!

I upset you? I feel good now, you made my day 😆😆😜😜
Do you happen to still have the JLCO Wayne Shorter 1st and 2nd Set somewhere?
Some in the audience didn't know of Joe's passing, very sad😢.
Anybody has a setlist please?
Interesting arrangements, but what was in the composer's mind when he put that together? 😁
That young tenor player is good..

A Marsalis tribute. Miles must be turning in his grave.
