I knew Funky was very very educated but I must say I am very impressed with how much he knows about Haiti. I love it !!!! My hat goes off to you 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
So true living in Miami Little Haiti area. I have learned alot over the time I have lived there. As well from other Haitian associates/acquaintances about Haitian culture ❤🇭🇹
Love me some Johnny Depp, so bought hubby 3 items from the Sauvage line for about $750. Most I ever spent, but he's more than worth it...plus it smells gooodddd ☺️
ALL SHADE, but some of us don’t have to spend $600 on a bottle of cologne to get people to take a second look. LMAO! I get multiple looks while wearing my Paco Rabanne.
As a person that studied history it’s sad ppl think Haiti is poor bc of their religious practices, it’s because they had to pay a huge debt after defeating the French and becoming the 1st enslaved country to gain their independence ✊🏾 I’m glad Funky brought the knowledge!
Thank you, Q, for clarifying Haiti's history to everyone within an earshot of you. Please note that voodoo is also what Dominicans, Cubans, Puerto Ricans, and all other Latin based countries practice as Santaria! Why aren't people pointing that out? That's the very same voodoo that all Africans brought to the west Hemisphere practiced...it's just named differently.
At this point, I feel that Pastor Keion thinks he is beyond reproach. No one who studied even 15 minutes of the history of Haiti/ Saint Domingue/Hispaniola/Ayiti/La Isla Española would draw that conclusion. My flabbers are gasted 😮
Yes! People need to be educated about Haiti. I was conceived in Haiti and born in Trinidad. My Trinidadian parents lived in Haiti before my father drowned and my mother returned to Trinidad. My parents LOVED Haiti and the Haitian people.
Jessie Woo been called out Pastor Keon and he said he didn’t need to apologize because the “outrage” was only in the Haitian community. Next thing you know his church gets destroyed. That’s called karma for Keon. God bless 🙂
Jessie tried! Him not wanted to meet with her when he found out she wasn't Jess Hilarious is insane...I said in that moment he gonna get what's coming to him
This is the comment I was looking for. I remember her calling him out about this too some months ago. This is definitely a time of reckoning. He’s been doing toooo much, and to see this story spin the block!
I am African in Africa and Christianity took away our power, I am no longer Christian and practice African spirituality which centres around love and uBuntu. Voodoo is and has never been evil, it's a their heritage and beliefs. Educate yourself as this was how we were colonized and lost sense of ourselves. Hait has been punished by France since independence and what the did to the that Island to decipher money from them until today!!!
I really enjoy catching up on your LIVES funky! You make me laugh whilst using your critical thinking skills to talk about hot topics ❤ Love from England Praying for everyone during this hurricane period🙏🏾
Big up q. You talked the truth about the factual information when it came down to African Americans coming across the water and what was taking for us. Which religion being one of the first things they took and then turning what we originally had a spiritual belief into something negative. You are absolutely right especially about the politics of it all and the real history. You are truth telling for sure
I'm going to be honest. I know Dineva is sensible. And there's, compared to his industry colleagues, plenty of reasons why he should call himself 'extremely intelligent. But I learned today that he has THIS range, istg oodness.
Thing about the cologne … it washes off and in order to wash yourself you need a roof … so 600 for a spray vs saving that 600 for your rent or emergencies.. I’m sticking to my dove bar soap and coconut oil. 👩🏽🐫🐫👍🏾🗽
Funky, I sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, appreciate you for the courage, INTELLIGENCE, AND INTEGRITY, for correcting the record on HAITI - more than flowers - here is my heart!💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Funky, I want to thank you for your discourse on the Haitian culture and the practices of voodoo. I do not practice voodoo as a descendent of Haiti, in fact, I am a follower of Christ. However, I am one of those followers of Jesus who can separate and view things logically. A lot of protestant faiths (Christianity, Catholicism, etc.) have the unfortunate stereotype and bias of Being egocentric about their views and ignoring, or denouncing the views of others. As a Christian, I understand that just as it is a matter of believing who Christ is and having a transformative process into having full faith in Christ, there’s absolutely no way that I can disrespect other peoples foundational belief that they have been transformed into believing the same way that I was transformed in mine. It is insensitive, and it shows a lack of awareness. I do hope that Pastor Keion learns from this and that others of all faiths come to understand people who are not like them so that we can learn to love one another, though we may not believe the same. in fact, biblically, speaking, that’s exactly what Jesus did he loved, and he sat with everyone, even though they did not believe in him, and only rebuked and corrected those who followed him, but he did it in love.
Huntyyyyyyyy Funky just give me so much life! I love how smart, educated and funny all at the same time. He keeps it real and 💯 People under estimate him but he is going to be a big platform very soon. So happy he is my brother my home of Miami. Representing so good. I wish his Mom and Dad was here in the flesh but I know they I’m heaven cracking up and saying Som job well done 👏🏾👍🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽
It was this now poverty-stricken country that paid billions of euros to rich France for its freedom, forced 'reparations', to compensate France for the 'loss' of a profitable colony. A history that is hardly talked about and that is related to the revolutionary struggle led by enslaved people from which the country was born.
Thank you, Funky, for your insightful Haitian segment and for mentioning the film Serpent and the Rainbow. I’m so glad you’ve seen that movie, the book is even better! The diaspora really needs to take a closer look at why there is such disdain for Vodou and to understand its origins. Western European cultural influence has distorted our perception of a deeply rooted, natural religious practice that has nothing to do with the devil or anything malevolent or nefarious. Love you to pieces ❤
My perfume encompasses Middle Eastern, Ulta, Sephora, online discounters, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, etc. I wear a little bit of everything. I just wear what I like.
Haiti we love u Why do a lot of these Christian want to discredit other countries religious practices. Mind ur own. But yeah sounds about right just like a colonizer So sad this black man doesn’t know himself. I’m a Ifa practitioner and others are always talking trash about it. Very sad to hate your own ancestry. Sad Keion Shaunie better run, that man has lost it
Please consider having Chrisette Michelle once per Month for a mini concert from now until Easter. In April have an Easter weekend concert with a paid for ticket concert. Jesus says forgive. You might want to specialize rescues. No one else is.❤
She needs to be on a R&B only tour. Touring with these rappers is not it. All the R&B girls should be doing a tour together . They all with doing their own concerts or on tours with other people. This past weekend i went to see Maxwell and Jazmine Sullivan. She should have definitely been on that tour. October London was the opener he did good but she should have been added.
H.E.R., Ella Mai, SZA, Ari, Summer, Snoah, jhene, Victoria, Muni Long, Jasmine,....There are some many R&B girls that people will pull up for if they all did a tour together
❤ Ooh you are BEAUTIFUL with the facial hair ❤ 😂 I love the cubicle girlz but lemme tell you…. I like to keep it real Demure, real cutesy. MFK-Baccarat Rouge (Extrait ,baby… don’t get the cheap one) and only one spray of each is required 😊 Don’t spray it like that Macy’s stuff. Leave that to the body spray girlz. Then one by one, level up some more. Your perspective will shift.

They literally have paid billions of dollars (reparations)to the French because they wanted to be free make that make sense smh
Aren’t they STILL paying France?
@@jameelasmith5371 I believe they stopped in the 1940s.
Tell it!!!!!

Excellent commentary on Haiti. Haiti has endured so much, but yet they still stand strong❤May God bless this country and its people.
Come through Kut Klose! You better SING!!
I play them and Keith Sweat all the time
Right now, I have to add that to my list. I used to sing that song all the time when I was younger and completely forgot about it . Getting ole🤣🤣
The Haiti segment was everything. Thank you
Yes! People need to be educated about Haiti.
I was conceived in Haiti and born in Trinidad. My Trinidadian parents lived in Haiti before my father drowned and my mother returned to Trinidad. My parents LOVED Haiti and the Haitian people.
Not only is Pastor Keon wrong but what he is saying is slanderous
I love you for that Haiti segment 🙏🏿❤️ 🇭🇹
I still can’t believe Shaunie gave up her monthly check for this! Girl…. Whew!
And publicly said she was never in love with Shaq. Chiiiiiile!
Ok, I could neva
What a beautiful lecture on the rebuttal to Shaunie husband and Haitian people. All while your skin and beard glistening 🥰☺️
Funky knows economics, Science ( when he talked about the water 💦 needing somewhere to go ) and history 🫵🏽😊
When I went to college and got my degree in Economics (100% facts), no one ever told me I’d find another person who majored in Economics too😁
Funky with Fox Soul shade!!! I’m loving it!!
I love you ❤so much how you ride with Haiti 🇭🇹
We appreciate you so much
Yes he redeem him self

Ever since Dame Dash teeth done fell out, he just don’t sound the same 😂😂
But he still THINKS THE SAME! He never left 2001!
Baby I just hollered😂😂😂😂😂
That Kut Klose is one of my favorite songs! 🙌🏽🎶
Many of the slaves from Haiti taught American slaves how to liberate themselves. This is a very ignorant understanding of Haiti
Funky such a old soul, singing them throwback songs
Right, and I love it
He’s not an old soul he’s just old. That’s his era. 😂
Well put ! Thank you for taking the time to educate everyone on the subject of Haiti
