My girl and I finished Cuphead this month, started it together in January. I am big into gaming but not so much platforming, she was always casual. I still can’t believe we actually came together to kick that games ass 🎉❤
games used to be such a big part of my childhood i still like games a lot but now as an adult i constantly struggle to have motivation to play games anymore and starting to question myself often if i really should have bought the games i had i can still find joy in games but it has gotten quite a lot harder oh also this is a really nice video ^^
I have had periods of time that I have felt the same way and I just don’t play anything but then randomly I just get the motivation to play games and then it’s all I do for a long time and the cycle keeps repeating, I’m hoping to break the cycle in trying to do more on my backlog.
I have something like 500 games in my backlog. It's rough lol. It's really hard for me to focus and enjoy games. Sometimes a game will REALLY click with me and that'll be all I care about until it's done, or at least for a solid couple of weeks or so. But then I enter this period where nothing clicks and I don't enjoy anything anymore. Lots of really cool games but I"m just not in the mood for any of them. I get interested in like, extremely hyperniche styles of games that just don't exist. And it becomes extremely difficult to play _anything_ until eventually the stars align and I just find another game that just sucks me in. It doesn't help that I'm very friction sensitive too. I don't really like hard games. If a game is too difficult/stressful, especially too quickly, I bounce off of it hard. If it's making me frustrated I'd rather just play something else. But at the same time, the game can't _feel_ too easy. If it feels like the only way to lose is to do so deliberately, or there's nothing to "figure out" about the game, then it ceases to be engaging. It's surprisingly difficult to find the right middle ground there.
great vid but finishing games isnt hard finishing games u don't enjoy is hard but if there is a game u don't enjoy but u really wanna finish it find a way to enjoy it whether its only doing the main quests or playing in creative mode etc
