A good assessment. While he may not be in every team you build in the late game, he is essential in specific areas. An essential niche champ, in other words.
Broadmaw is a great champ for early progression IF you don't get anything better from pulling shards. Even if you get two decent speed boosters, you may still want him for tag arena. There are better, but you may not always get them for a long while - especially if you're free to play.
I use him in FW, tag arena, my main arena defence as part of a nuisance team (it has two revivers in the squad and two AoE provokers), and Dragon - Kael just keeps dying during the waves.
I can see how you build him being largely dependent on where you are in the game and how you're going to use him. Building him as a speed booster, in speed sets or a speed-focused relentless set, would probably work better for general use early to mid-game.
For all of us,the old raiders,who lived in the pre Pythion era,Broadmaw was a no brainer maxing up..he is a high value champ and everyone can fuse him. Even the void rares you can buy them from tag arena shop...as for the secret room my team is Broadmaw,. Venomage, Aox the rememberer,Jareg and jizoh..

Broadmaw used to suck before the buff and I fused him and then fed him. I should have just vaulted him and I'm kicking myself. I'm trying to fuse him again, but I CANT FOR THE LIFE OF ME GET A HUNTRESS FROM VOID SHARDS. All I need is the stupid Huntress (I have all the others ready). What a big mistake.

what do you mean it's an easy one there are no healers in this faction and the can practically 1 shot whoever they want in most cases because there ignoring defense unlike you I do have an aoe shield and honestly can't even get past the Valkyrie stage before this because I don't have a cc champ and my only aoe damage dealer is rahzin so I can't even put a stun set on anyone unless I 6 star suras
