    Nicely explained. :) This is a general topic of brass instruments.These microtonalities must be compensated by the player, I found its a good exercise to play with a tone generator or with another instrument. The ear adopts the heared frequency and the lip tension also adopts. Also singing the notes with a piano is very good.

      Right. I used to tune the sax notes instinctively after years of ear training. Anyway brass and woodwind instruments can have small tuning errors due to shapes related to their own production technology. Moreover, the equal temperament introduced since Bach, it is something that can create further misalignment along three-octave or more, those errors have to be corrected by the lip pressure of the musician.
      On the opposite, the didgeridoo has mostly one keynote then the perfect tuning should seems something easy to get. Softwares seem to be the perfect tool to avoid mistuning. In the video, I explain why it is not so true.
