Porsche Crash: Pune Minor's Lawyer Prashant Patil Speaks To India Today On High Court's Bail Order

- The Bombay High Court on Tuesday ordered the release of minor accused in the Pune Porsche accident case. The court declared the remand order illegal and set it aside.
Since the minor's parents and grandfather are presently behind bars, the custody of the teenager has been given to his paternal aunt, the court said.

@@sameer6356 I am talking about this case where a juvenile, who was 17 years and 8 months old, escaped using a loophole. A similar situation occurred in the Nirbhaya case, where one of the accused juveniles, Mohammed Afroz (whose name was later changed to Raju in the media due to his age), was declared to be 17 years and six months old on the day of the crime by the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB). The JJB relied on his birth certificate and school documents. Mohammed Afroz was sentenced to the maximum of three years in prison under Juvenile Justice laws when the crime was committed and escaped the full consequences of the cruelty he committed.
Similarly, if the victim were our son who lost his life, would you be happy with the judge's judgment? If so, hats off to your decision. 👏

Even though he escaped, may God hear the prayers of the victim's parents, and may he suffer from God's judgment. I believe he will suffer similar agony.
@@Namah18 Law is law and unless you change the juvenile law nothing can be done. period. emotions do not play any role in justice system. Evidence and existing kanoon is what matters.
I'll remember the name of PRSANTH PATIL, for one day his family too may face the same kind of crime or similar and that day, this lawyer will think of the day the two were killed

He's released on a technicality due to the mistakes made by the Pune police. The lawyer is just doing his job defending his client. There is no physical evidence against the boy. The police, doctors and JJB who got the bribes ensured that that murderer will never face justice no matter what happens. Jai ho IPC where not only justice is always delayed, justice is denied.
I fear now adults will use minors for crimes.
At least dont let the parents come out of jail as they are failed to teach son right things

Contact Law ministry and amend the juvenile section for motor vehicles where even if the age is less than 18 years he can be tried as an adult

If juvenile law is different than an adult law then what will the judge do? He has to follow the law. Why blame judge? If you sit in judge’s place even you will give same judgement.

seems delay in procedural papers and collecting evidences(though police have had ALL) creates DOUBT as to CASE BECOMING WEAK/ATTEMPTS ARE BEEN MADE BCOZ OF HUGE AMOUNT OF BRIBED MONEY(!!??)... but we still have FAITH & HOPE on INDIAN JUDICIARY AND ANY COURTS....MERA DESH MAHAN HAI JAY-HIND JSK SD USA...
But what can the courts do if the Law cannot punish a juvinile ? Courts cannot go by sentimetns, emotions or public demand they have to give judgements as per Law. The whole world knew ajmal kasab killed so many people mercilessly but the courts had to follow due process before landing him punishment . Let the parliament pass a law to lower the age of juvinile to 15 or so which is the only solution here but its not easy as internationally the age is fixed and cannot tinker much on these. Yes the parents are to be booked and punished for recklessly allowing their son to drink and drive and also attempted to erase the evidence !

@@sameer6356 While the law provides for treating offenders aged between 16 and 18 years to be tried as adults, it is limited to offenders of heinous offences. But even this rule is not uniformly applicable. But the problem is the way the police and some corrupt officials ruined the case. In other words when evidence is manipulated there is no other way for justice to succeed and courts rely on evidence.
Goddess of justice is kept blindfolded at courts to represent or symbolise unbiased justice. She wields a balance in one hand and a sword in the other. The balance signifies that she weighs pieces of evidence and facts of the case to arrive at the judgement. The sword symbolises that justice shall be fast and final.

Their parents had dreams and aspirations about them. Now what if the people who died were your kids. And would you let the spoil brat get away with things whose parents brought him up to be incompetent person and give him a sports car and money to drink. He took the car out when he was drunk.
