This is real history. Musbau Alaragbo led the breakaway faction of Kollington Ayinla's band boys. His sister, Kuburat Alaragbo was Salawa Abeni's arch-rival at a time. At that time Salawa was estranged from Kollington. Salawa abused Musbau Alaragbo's father. Kuburat Alaragbo retaliated. It was an interesting period in Nigerian musical scene.
I remember after all the disrespect of their mentor they only manage to release this good hit album. while Kollington with a new band went on to make mega hits..Fuji Megastar, Ropopo, Ijo Yoyo, Lakukulala.....etc Lesson is in life always give credit to your mentor ...
Many thanks for this album.. I remember it was released around 1990. This was Alaragbo's first and only album I guess and it enjoyed a lot AirPlay then. He was a former member of Kollington Ayinla's band .. Pls can kindly post FANCY AYE ALAMU's album if you have it
While i appreciate the talent of the Bata Reformers Band, it is also important to note that it is not always the best to start one's career by going against one's mentor, master and benevolent. This might be the reason this star loaded band couldn't go too far. No matter what had happened, they shouldn't have said a single word against Alhaji General Kolignton Ayinla, its like biting the finger that fed one for many years. However, their music is good and i wish them great success if they are still together. Please could you upload Fatai Alao, another talented artist that following the footsteps of Kollington Ayinla
