My 22 f350 crew cab long bed fx4 with a front load axle spring 5,990 and a tremor air dam Bilstein 5100 and 35” is the best I can achieve realistically
The softer springs on the Tremor cost you over 6000 pounds conventional towing capacity according to Ford towing guide though and you cannot get a plow package, for those of us in snow country, with the Tremor. FX4 has always worked for me and the price of the Tremor with those loses is not worth it.
I got the FX4 and I'm really happy with it. Yes, I could level it, install 34s, yank off the air dam and install the Tremor front skid plate and massively improve my offroading. But no, still wouldn't get to Tremor-level articulation. But what the Tremor (which has NO max tow pckg option) can't do is tow 13,900 lbs like my truck can. 3k LESS is the most a Tremor - WITH the tow pckg - can do. The Raptor, btw, is a towing wimp at only 8,200 lbs. So what do you want your truck to be able to do? The ONLY 1/2 ton that tows more than my truck is the RWD version which only tows 100 lbs more. I Iove my FX4's blend of capabilities. Especially given the fact that 1) I don't want my baby dinged up and 2) I like a clean truck. I demanded 4x4 more for hazardous road conditions rather than serious off-roading. It's all about trade-offs. As a PS, at least on the more "base" model Tremor, the tire size is 275/70r18, which is a 33" tire, not 35". My FX4 comes w/ 32s.
I got the FX4 as well because I wanted more towing capability. My F350 Lariat came with 275/65/R20 which I think is a 34 inch tire. It had the sport and black packages which I believe gave me the wheel/tire upgrade. Maybe it was the Ultimate package that was the upgrade. I'm not sure. I wouldn't say the Tremor is a serious off road vehicle. Maybe a bit more capable, but not much more than our non tremor packages. Just my opinion. Congrats on your truck. I bought mine a few days ago. The video really didn't make any real comparisons other than the commentators saying they prefer the Tremor because of it's stance and look. I would have liked to see the two trucks going over rough road to see the difference. I understand with a loaner truck they probably couldn't do that.
I have a 2024 F350 SRW 6.7HO Platnium Tremor my payload is 3,868, GVWR 12,000 and Gooseneck capacity of 22,000, I am unsure of the conventional capacity. Are you sure that the Tremor takes a hit in tow capacity? Maybe it’s the F250’s?
The rear ball hitch tow rating drops by over 6000 lbs when ordering a Tremor. If you had a FX4 and it did everything you needed it to do stick with it, especially for the money. Tremor is very expensive and the decrease in ball hitch is curious.
It's nice that the Tremor comes with an upgraded rear axle, but it's a real shame that for 23+ Ford has downgraded from the 10.1" Dana 60 to the 9.25" Dana 50. 2022 seems to be the last year of a Ford SuperDuty that I would consider buying.
Fx4 already has a rear locker. Carli leveling kit some 37s and the tremor valance will get you anywhere the tremor can go and then some. It’s what i did to mine.
That 23 Tremor looks like a different color in every shot!!!
Sick vid. Thanks!
Tell your buddies at Ford they need To bring back the MANUAL 4X4 SHIFT ON THE FLOOR.
They also need to bring back the manual transmission

If they made a long bed tremor or "highboy" I woulda bought that. So I have a 23 long bed fx4
Good info! Love it!!!😊
Can't wait to see more!

Confused about your statement re towing. My tremor is rated for nearly 19k for towing. How is that less than what an FX can do?
My ‘23 F-250 7.3L Tremor can do 18k.
Tremors come with 35" tires.

FX4 plus the right Carli suspension could be a way to go...
We know that big blue truck! Very capable rigs when it comes to off road recoveries! Great video guys!

You guys said a lot without saying much.

how bout the payload between the two trucks? much of a difference? thanks, a couple of nice trucks.
Nice trucks!!! ❤
Santa could use a new sleigh 👍🏻🎅🏻👍🏻
Can you guys drop more info on the inside light bar in the Tremor please.
It's a LED Outfitters Visor Lightbar amber/white.
FX4 with front and rear lockers aftermarket is less expensive and the FX4 has always made it to where I need to go.

They come with front?
My 23 Lariat FX4 has front facing camera when in one of the off road settings (mud maybe?)
Do either of these have that?
Yes! In off road mode the cameras should turn on if you have them! The 23 Tremor does have this!
Does the tremor have a level kit and is it on 37?
Yes it does!
Anyone mske a e locker for the front of 23 superduty? Im building mine now everything is complete but need a front locker.
Bone stock. Gas. Short bed and box. Spend your own 20k on it. And youll have a 750 HP desert runner.
hideous f-boy wheels on both of those trucks
Invest in better music.
Noted, thanks for the insight!
AIR DOWN!!
It would have made the ride smoother!
Few hundred dollars for stickers lol 😆 wtf is wrong with those truck guys that pay that lol idiots I'd say
Awful video you guys answered 0 questions. 👎
