I have tried both rs Aggarwal and Rd Sharma and in my opinion, rs is heaps better - it is shorter, more concise and higher varietybof questions. So for eg, if you're doing ex 4 then you'll do probably 2 same questions and 4 different type of questions in rs while for Rd you'll be doing 10 same type of questions and end up practicing like 2 different types only. So do RS - It's a lot better.
Plus it has much concise pyq way appeoch and the examples are so to the point .. it never feels like a heavy thing to do . And the font size also matters which coincidentally boost the confidence.
Also go by the flow it's not necessary to do every chhapter by RS twice or thrice
Like do when you need a practice of particular chapter it's way more beneficial then .

@@kavishwasson1596 yep! Cause looking at term 1 question paper, it had more ncert book type questions which really surprised me cause I was told by everyone that the board question papers would be a lot harder with tougher questions which was really not the case lol.
Although we can't trust the board, they might change ways and make term 2 paper a though nut to crack.
So to be safe, do the ncert book first, everything from examples to the exercises then do Oswal questions.

For class 10th i think K.C Sinha is also so good to practice questions. I like this more than R.S Agarwal and R.D sharma, because the given example and back exercise have almost same questions you can do each question, by solving examples, but in R.S there used to be so much difference, you need to ask a teacher(or search) about some particular questions.
Then i bet u haven't solved Rd sharma
The level of questions are high in Rd sharma

Woah, your books look still so new, I bought my rd sharma in March I guess and its torn completely.. Btw, it depends on your mathematical aptitude, like if you are good at maths, you may find RD sharma easy somehow because of many repetitions, but if you are weak so you might be afraid from the huge volume of rd sharma.... But if you are consistent and even solve just 10 sums a day within 365 days your whole book will be completed , so keep solving :)
Same here
I never finished R.D Sharma since 8th standard. It takes up too much time. I only go through the whole theory and practice the questions which look tricky or hard. This gives me time to practice ques from other books and also practice ncert and exemplar nicely.
Also, pls don't get scared after seeing R.D Sharma. Just solve some imp ques after you complete the chapter from ncert and exemplar.
R.D Sharma is actually helpful if you do it smartly. If anyone has bought R.D Sharma, pls don't let it wait in the shelf. It has HOTS ques, which DO come in boards.
Thats my opinion and experience. Thank you 😊

Keep sowing the seeds it will come back in sweet fruit
Rd is a great book, i used to study and practice question from Rd after solving ncert, trust me it helps alot, if your in cbse then forsure there will be atleast 2-3 question from rd. For all of those who are new to 10th grade and are hyped about rd from seniors or are thinking that without it you can't score good marks or that ncert is easy I just wanna say that rd is not that important and questions ncert or exemplar se hi aate hai in board exams to inko karne ke baad agar interest hai or practice karna chahte hai tabhi use rd warna logo ka dekh ke isse mat lena kyuki ncert and exemplar are God books!

Rd Sharma is not for everyone 🙂
See
If you want to complete RD Sharma you can do easily
Just you have to do is learn how to solve questions from either from your school or you can prefer UA-cam also then practice it
RD Sharma is not made for reading purpose or basically studying purpose
It's rather made for practice
It's contain all the questions that you can get in boards
But you should start it after you have completed NCERT because it is must
And you can prefer NCERT exemplar rather than RD Sharma
See this is my personal experience and view

If you guys are planning to prepare for JEE ,believe me RD sharma would be a piece of cake . (in 11th and 12th)
Rd sharma is the best for eg: in our ch 4 quadratic equation we have time and distance questions which I am pretty sure a lot of kids struggle with and in Rd sharma they have given so many questions on time and distance so if you do allot of them you will understand the key concept of it
I completed the rd sharma textbook 2 Times completely it depends on the mindset of the reader my goal was not to Crack the exam but to gain more and more knowledge side by side with school I hated the questions which I can do I loved those questions which were very hard as doing hard ques will make you super ready for your board exam paper wues which consists of average questions
Girls:- 'after finishing Rd sharma' finally I am God
Boys:- 'after finishing Rd,rs,ncert,Vedic maths' you say somethin?
I got full marks in maths term 1 🎉🔥
Without doing anything 😅😅
Rd Sharma ke kuch mcqs lagaye the bus.
I am actually using RD from 9th
In 9th, my maths was average, and rd Sharma has problems for basics till advance level questions which are just there to check how well you know concept and general mathematical manipulation. In 9th I solved entire Rd Sharma, examples and exercises( leaving starting 5-6 examples and exercise problems in each chapter). But by 10th grade my level was at another level, where I actually gave prmo(Really tough mathematical Olympiad). If you even have guts to give prmo, trust me you are so set for cbse boards. In tenth, mostly I solved rd in term 1, that too only examples grow easy to check answers later. And during tests and pre boards, I did exercises. Note that I didn't do all examples and exercise, maybe 1/4 of what I did in 9th. Now in the 7 day gap for math, I am going to exercises of rd.
Wow that's impressive.. which state are you from?

Well welcome to 10th grade to all newcomers
See for maths I can suggest you for maths (got 39 lost a silly mark )
According to me if your school doesn't provide you sheets then use RS aggarrwal -- mainly focus on examples and pyq from it . It's way more productive after ncert
Do chapter wise question like for surface area just do ncert it's enough . For trigonometry you have to do rs .
If you want to buy question bank ho with oswaal question bank .. get from any senior .. which have full question not only McQ. That have pyq that will surely help.
Basically master ncert and then practice from reference.
Go with flow of your own.
And with time you'll on track .
Also read SST book whenever you get time it will help
And yess Don't forgot to enjoy your 10th grade. Boards require regular study and focus in exam time 😊
So don't overburden yourself just relax and enjoy your 10th it would be best time of your life with your friends teachers boards ka pressure exictement .. enjoy them and study for each test and learn from mistake
That's all from my side
If you need more help ask it .
Cause I was at same place a year back and it was so confusing 😂 some comments helped me then 😂
Thank you 😊
Definitely your comment is gonna help me lot so thankyou so much bro👍
Please share more about it, your advice seems very useful.
Your comment helped to ease my tension a Lot ☺️ but one question : Is S Chand also a good reference book cause when I was in 9th (math) I used it , it had mOre than ncert so difficult but is it necessary?
How many hours we should study atleast
@@spoorthy6154 I've never read any chapter completely from S Chand in my 10th grade
Basically, NCERT is the Bible and you have to read each and every line thoroughly. For instance if you've read a paragraph then just think what type of questions can be made from this paragraph and after completing a topic practice 5-10 questions of it. That's literally more than enough.
Well, I would recommend S Chand only for biology specifically for diagrams because they are made in an easier manner than the NCERT
but if you're following any yt channel like Vedantu then you don't need to buy S Chand because teachers at Vedantu teach everything from S Chand
Hope it helps. I know it's too long to read😅
I used Pearson foundation book in 9th grade, then switched to advanced problems in mathematics for olympiads and cleared RMO stage 1. I'm very proud of my math abilities. (I think CBSE math is just too shallow in knowledge and super easy, if you like math, I think you should explore more advanced concepts like Number Theory, Graph Theory, Calculus, Higher Algebra Manipulation, Combinatorics, etc) I am in 11th grade right now doing "Problems for JEE Advance" book by Vikas Gupta Sir and Pankaj Joshi Sir and SL Loney for Plane Trigonometry.
I remember watching this same video in class 10 exactly two years back
I do cengage for math now 💀
Dem RD Sharma was easy (never thought i would say this in the comment of the same video two years back)
I have finished RD Sharma and i hadn't even touched the NCERT of class 10 as there was no need to solve ncert If you are solving Rd. I had finished RD Sharma within 7 months. In my opinion RD Sharma is the best as it contains 10 year pyq and it has explained every concept in a easy way. Due to which i have scored 96/100 and the fun fact is that i hadn't touched the NCERT throughout my class 10 journey 🌝 So, if any body wants to buy reference book than RD is the best( don't get scared by seeing book's size or weight it will worth it!! :))
I also think so because after solving RD Sharma I am able to solve the NCERT Book very easily
without using RD AND RS, i scored 40 out of 40 in Term 1 examinations of 2021 (class 10) and 36 in term 2.......so i will recommend just to focus on ncert examples and exercises......i solved ncert 3-4 times in 10th class...... but if you really wanted to practice more , you can refer to the NCERT examplar book.........
So you are left with only 39 days......use them wisely don't panic...all the best to all
Same bro 40 in Term I and 36 in Term 2 ... But I solve ncert only one time(not whole book) and never touch ncert examplar...
😅i don't really think buying this book was a great idea for me.. i just did the whole objective portion but the subjective part scares me like hell.. 😂but just doing objective questions made my concepts real strong.. and its helping me alot.. i just see the question and its done.. i just have to calculate
Class 9 - i did whole rd sharma
Class 10 - i did rd sharma
Class 11 - i am doing it rn
i quite disagree with you coz i too did RD sharmaa...ndd it really helped me in building speed or to solve various types of questions....i didnt solve the whole book but only the examples of every chapter....it contains the whole ncert...hence i opened my ncert just in exams for practice❤

Initially I tried my hand on rd sharma, but tbh, you don't actually need it. You just have to be thorough with Ncert, by that I mean, your concepts should be CRYSTAL CLEAR, not just "finishing" the entire thing. Then, what I suggest you is doing NCERT exemplar, trust me, there are so many questions which are directly asked from it+it has some v interesting concepts. After that, your final step should be doing pyqs. (Easily available, shobit nirwan has posted a Chapter wise pdf of it). Then, obviously if you have time, practice more and more from any book you want, or solve sample papers. That's more than enough for y'all. Happy learning:)

@L Lawliet Actually I have rs…my brother has the book but it’s about 6-7 years old edition so I’ll practice from that book if I’ll need in future..so I am thinking of buying rd sharma now
And thank you for your suggestions☺️
I really had completed RD sharma started from august and it helped me a lot !!!
I too afraid of such a big book
Do focus on NCERT first because much questions are taken from ncert only ..😊
Agree just ncert and exemplar is enough!
Do whatever your school gives you and go with flow . You'll get through it by being regular.
@@aashishyadav6563 even for 40/40?
@@angadkumar6696 bro this only works if you aren't in a school which is under government University. Because the situation from which i am undergoing is actually hella tough. They won't give you a single hint and tips for the exams. They'll simply ask you to study from NCERT and when the exams paper appears you're ended... Boom.
@@Heavyhitter786 I got 39 and loosed one silly mark
but.. i love maths and physics very much that I do it in my free times also
Amazing video!!!
You're my inspiration
It is good for pratice also . I had used it on my 9th class also . And i use it now also . I am also in 10th class.

If anyone of you has just started rd sharma and has interest in maths I will suggest you must read the theory from this book because it will clear your concepts
You will be shocked if I tell you this book is zero level for ioqm and iom Olympiads
Lol not at all a nightmare for me..I love solving it 👍❤️Loved the video though
Pehli baar kisiko maths ki book cinematic bante dekbrha hu😂🙂😂🙂😂🙂😂
R.D sharma book is for icse'ies or for cbse??
Well Ig it's only for CBSE Students bt if u wanna practice then u can go for that:)
@@mkindanerd Is it compulsory to solve?
@@aashishyadav6563 no ofc
@@aashishyadav6563 Nope it depends upon u :)
best way to complete RD Sharma is to be consistent and do it everyday for at least two hours AND YOU WILL ROCK IN EXAMS
I jst came to class 10th and completed real number from ncert and wanted to do rd but I don't understand the rd sharma. Thank you di for motivation:) ☺😊
When i was in 10th i have comp rd sharma in january only 😊
Go for it juniors.....
It have same concept as ncert
And at last u ill be with 101% confidence
I have been doing RD Sharma since class 8. Actually the book is not that tough. I used it till 12. And now I have been completely familiar with the algorithm of the book.
In class 10 i completed the entire book 5 times.
In class 12 I completed it 3 times.
5 times 🙂
I have got a rd Sharma 2017 edition, so shall I solve this book or shall I go for a new edition book for class 10 standard maths
@@youandme78470 Go for new edition...
New edition will contain more pyqs and relevant questions
@@zackss_00 yes .........
Completing rd sharma is not a big thing...its not tough...i personally had completed it...
I didn't do this rd Sharma but I did RS Agrawal as both of these books are almost the same…after all both are tricky…anyways all the best for your term 2 exams
How to study Rd Sharma's book- just hold the book with your hand and open your eyes and read 😎🤏

You can refer books according to your comfort..but during the study leave before math board exam..revise ncert thoroughly.⚠️
One of the most easiest books on planet..and theres no need to complete it
Why you are trying to complete the book ?? Completing the book is not that much necessary just understand the topic ... Understanding the concept is much better than completing the book 📚
I scored 96 in maths Class X cbse and tried both but RS is simple while RD is literally SUPER complex and if you guys finish RS just like me. At the end of the year I'm pretty sure that you can score above 90 fr
In my opinion those u will choose JEE should definitely solve RD Sharma questions.
PS: I have myself completed 3/4 questions of RD sharma
