Hector you had me dying laughing. Not because of something you said but what I thought you were gonna say. During your story about the whites & South Siders refusing showers during lock downs. When you said" blacks you gonna shower today" I honestly expected you to say NO based on a experience I had in the Oakland / Alameda County Jail. The races would get together & try to set rules for all inmates to follow. The "Brothas" wanted a rule that required all inmates to shower ONCE A WEEK. When we heard that, we looked at each other & responded "we shower daily when possible".

I served 5-6 yrs in Mississippi DOC, and 5 yrs in Arizona DOC. Two completely different worlds. In MS, the Blacks actually run the show, (they had hella numbers). It's probably 70% black in DOC. Life is tough for whites and others in MS. In AZ, Blacks were very few, Whites usually had numbers, but the entire program in AZ was better on many different fronts. Just my experience.

Lam with his big ass Smokey the bear hat pulling people over after dinner chow! lol The gym inmates would be on the yard with us level fours all day!!

Yes, I did a video of one of my friends who just passed away.
We had a “Shot Caller” PC up the day of the riot because he was paroling in 2 days he wanted NO part of the Race Riot he wanted to go home! We knew ahead of time it was going to happen that day by informants but not what time and where it was kicking off on RCW. Started in unit Mariposa first and then all the other units went off in the unit and the fenced in mini yards. They raided the canteen and the laundry work building. They stacked big laundry carts as a barricade from us visually and taking a lethal or non lethal weapons shots!

Great post Hector! Just because an officer carries himself a certain way doesn't mean he's a sympathizer. To put it in a point-blank way, fuck the officers who say stupid shit like that. All it does is it causes division and hate. Many of US grew up in the SGV, LA, IE and so on. We grew up in that environment, so we talk and walk a certain way. Many of us grew up fighting these dudes in our neighborhoods and schools. If anything, you would think officers from dangerous neighborhoods would be an asset to the department but it's the opposite.
