I would really appreciate if u would tell me or describe some of them... because honestly I never in my 12 years of tkd learned a single one... except self defense stuff... so obviously I have been cut short from the beginning...

Yes, ur right about showing how body moves.... but they're using all those sensors and not showing his muscles... u can easily see how body moves even with kimono...

One, I doubt you could combine those: different approach. Totally. But having boxing under one's belt would be useful. TKD actually includes plenty of hand/arm techniques for close-quarters combat, so close range is OK, if taught and studied properly. Boxing won't teach you to break the collarbone wither with a strike or by digging your fingers in around it and pulling suddenly. If that's not effective, I don't know what is.

sorry to intrude but we have tkd fighters and tkd fighters ... this tkd fighter "Bren Foster" doesnt only practice tkd and we all know nowadays almost everyone practices more than one type of martial art so dont be surprised if a tkd based fighter amazes in ground fighting :-) plus tkd fighters are generally long rangers the techniques i've learned in tkd self defense are for strike and run away :-P

So don't argue which one is better, for US HERE, Taekwondo is our all favourite martial art. So stop trying to make childish discussions. Peace

He performs two kicks, but makes them look like one. It is really hard to see his foot position on the first one because he is very fast, but his hip position signifies a jump spinning round-house with the right leg, followed by a spinning hook kick (aka spinning heel kick) with the left. Obviously both are done before he lands, so he spins about 720 degrees in the air. Pretty impressive.

No no, I don't think Foster would win. He just didn't put himself into that situation. He didn't go UFC with hits career. He does what he does very well, has won hundreds of competitions (in what he does), and has made a fine life for himself and family. If you want to compare Bob Dylan (or whoever your favorite band is) to Mozart, Beethoven or Rachmaninoff, then I guess Dylan is a "faker."

  • @VocalEdgeTV
    @VocalEdgeTV 12 років тому

Wow. We're really gonna do numbered outlines? OK:
    1) You're apparently obsessed with the work "faker," and have a guilty conscience, therefore you must be a faker (whatever the hell that means to you).
    2) Bren has worked very hard his whole life and has earned many achievements. If he wanted to be compared to Silva, maybe he'd go that route with his career...but he didn't. And why are you even comparing him to Lyoto? That's just weird.
3)Yes, there is. You're simply avoiding the question.

Bruce Lee Revolutionized the way we think about Martial Arts., Grasshopper!!
I'm getting the picture that you are not old enough to comprehend just what it was Bruce Lee done in his lifetime, we were a pack of 2 dimensional fighters before Lee! Bren Foster is as Predictable as they come and Lee would shred him like the punk he is. If Bruce Lee were alive today I guarantee he would show us the errors of our Modern Styles and Revolutionize Martial Arts all over again. He was a Once in a Lifetime!

If TKD was invented for killing, they should mainly have used weapons.
But I have never seen a using weapons except a special perfomances.
TKD was generally trained through mind-control/pumsae/self-defense/breaking/sparring in trainig-centers.. but killing-skill/weapons only in special army.

Taekwondo is originally not for a killing martial art but for training of body/mind.

hmmmm...so no one, anywhere, at anytime has ever studied various martial arts and incorporated their preferred techniques into the one fighting style besides Bruce Lee? and no one can ever do the exact same after him?
Come on man people have been doing what he did for centuries and still to this day. Bruce Lee was an amazing martial artist, but the big difference between him and countless others is he got into acting and his movies were big.

i would say your correct muay thai is definitely more grounded in defense and street fight. But i will say my old instructor was the korean military taekwondo teacher and a muay thai champion and if you get as good as you can get at taekwondo like he did, no other martial art can compare. The kicks are just too fast and too powerful and can come from anywhere. It only takes one and the opponent is out or dead. But this is also its weakness, this takes 10 years do accomplis so not verypractical

In real life? Did not happen, Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee were friends and trained together many times, which is why Lee Asked Norris to be in one of his movies. They never had a fight in real life,
Is Bren Foster better than Norris? We will never know as Norris is over 60 and Foster is in his prime. Norris fought in the ring full contact, TKD is "almost" full contact but still not full contact
