Queensland Holiday - 5th Leg - Back to the Coast

Day 14 - Packed up and left Hughenden, making it back to the coast for the first time since we left home. Stopped for lunch at Charters Towers and walked up Towers Hill to the lookout. Very cool and unexpected, with old abandoned mines and WWII bunkers on the way up. Then set up camp at a friend's place near Townsville.
Days 15 & 16 - Played tourist in Townsville, checking out the view up Castle Hill lookout and playing down at Strand Rockpool. Then chilled out by the pool with a great friend we hadn't seen in 10 years!
Day 17 - Packed up and drove down to Airlie Beach, with a quick lunch stop at the big mango. Set up camp at the BIG4 resort and the kids were in heaven with everything to do, especially the massive water park!
Day 18 - Hung out in Airlie Beach with some retain therapy, Cold Rock ice cream, Hogs Breath for lunch, chilling at the lagoon, then back to the resort for another play.
Day 19 - Resort hang day. Baby animal feeding first, Melanie now wants all the animals, especially the calf. Coffee, laundry, mini golf, and of course more water park fun!
