Reverse Seared Cast Iron Steak…Celebrating March 30, 2023

- This is a two inch Demonico steak, which we’re cooking using the reverse sear method. That means we insert a thermometer into the center of the steak, and slowly cook it in the oven until it reaches 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Today is a special day, and we’re using two special cast iron pans to cook this steak, one with a logo called the American Seal, which is similar to the seal of the President. The other is a made in America pan from the chaotic year 2020, and this is the pan we’re using to sear this steak and give it a good crust. By the way, did you know that when Donald Trump was elected President, an news article described his favorite food: an overcooked, well-done $50 steak smothered in ketchup. We’re definitely not cooking this steak in this manner, and instead we’re serving a wonderful medium rare steak, especially to celebrate March 30, 2023: the day we made America great again.
Ruined it with the mentioning of a politician
Only if you can’t take a joke about what is clearly not based on any fact. No self respecting restaurant would ever serve a $50 steak overdone and smothered in ketchup
@@NB_Strikers every self respecting restaurant will cook a steak to order, and provide ketchup if the customer wants it
@@Scotty-vs4lf no, any self respecting business will. A self respecting steak restaurant won’t.
@@NB_Strikers A steak restaurant is a business
@@Scotty-vs4lf yes it is. But a business exists solely for profit. A self respecting steak house will exist both to make a profit but also to serve the finest steak experience. Unless you’re a 5 year old, a self respecting steak restaurant will first aggressively advise the patron against using ketchup to ruin the steak culinary experience. If the advice is not heeded, they’ll call in the SWAT team to remove the difficult and clearly delusional patron from the premise along with slapping a 1 year trespass order.
One man is not the leader of a nation. The people are.
Bruh I wish that's how it was
The people are? Hmm tell that to the IRS. The people have NO say in this country
I don’t know man, I wouldn’t trust my mom is she ordered a well done steak smothered in ketchup
😂😂. And the steak looks great!
I am quite satisfied with how it turned out.
Woohoo!!! 🎉
I made the chicken with the dad iron tonight!!! Epic!! Thank you for the inspiration
I am glad you enjoyed it!
Pretty typical for anybody who calls a ribeye a “Delmonaco”
Make steak great again
Unsubbed for toxic TDS

Home to Mommy!!
Unsubbed for not being able to cook a steak. Looks like trash.

I’d rather makesteakgreatagain. 😊
so modemac, besides the talking points, what makes that steak or any other a Delmonico??................
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delmonico_steak : "A true Delmonico steak is cut from the first 3" of the chuck eye, Some places may use any of various cuts of beef steak, using preparations that vary regionally in the United States. The term "Delmonico steak" might refer to any thick-cut steak."
@@castironchaos that was a quick reply, i buy a lot of chuck eye, a more affordable cut and very often just as good as rib eye as it is what divides the rib from the chuck.............delmonico, a rose by any other name.............yum!................
snicker, gufaw and ha ha ha..........just could not help my self, i had to take this one in again..............
I like ice cream
Wow I’m very hungry now
What alien would put ketchup on a well done steak😮
All I could see is that big hair cooking on the side of it 😅
120 is too high.
You are "Making Cast Iron Great Again". Actually, we all know it's always been great. Hmm. Maybe MCIGA hats???
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.....................................
Drain the swamp !!!!!yeeeeeehaawwwwe!!!!
Funny how no one has said that slogan at all in the 2024 election. It's almost as thoiugh someone is more interested in staying out of prison than "draining the swamp," which didn't happen at all in the four years between 2017 and 2020.
This aged like warm milk. All of those allegations failed. But it sure fooled the room temp IQ, mask wearing, groomers out there! XD
Funny how I've gotten several comments lately on this video, made nearly a year and a half ago. And I still stand proudly by that video,. I'm amused how some people are still triggered more than a year later. And I'd hardly say the accusations failed, considering he still has to cough up $500 million for his two failed court cases and face sentencing for 34 felonies. They haven't gone away, they're still there.
Not feelin it g
Why must you bring politics into things I enjoyed your channel until now leave politics out of cooking
@@michaelzielinskl3475 what politics? All I’m doing is commenting on how his steak was overcooked.😏
@@michaelzielinskl3475 agreed 100%
@@castironchaos so why is March 30th special and how was this day making America great again?
@@alisondonahou5176 Because it was baseball opening day. Stephen Colbert confirmed it. 😁

Yall ever read the Bible?
Yes, it said " And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:" Apparently it is a red ball cap saying MAGA.

Trigger warning!
Yes indeed, that is a wonderful looking celebratory meal on a celebration worthy occasion, I am loving all of the “Shorts” posted on UA-cam. It’s so much fun to react with you to things like the piping hot pan in the cold running water. I’m glad to see that you are doing well.

Not as weird as Orange Cheeto. :)
Oven temp?
If I remember right, the steak was cooked at 300° until it reached 125°. Then it was smeared in the hot pan.
Medium to medium rare, I prefer, regardless, I believe the quality of the cut and rating of meat is best to use. I have had to buy, eat what we could afford when young, made some cheap cuts taste great, when we had money I learned how to cook real food and steaks , after many trial and error!
Not a good crust.
They dont sell delmonico where i shop😢
Cooked PERFECT

Beta soy boy video
Soy boi comment by a soy boi suffering from TDS. Go get your ketchup steak elsewhere, boi.
For me, there are two kinds of steak: a) well done; b) inedible. The texture and taste of a steak that has been cooked all the way through is superior to the bland mushyness that most people seem to prefer.
It’s definitely a matter of preference. Many people, myself included, consider the taste of a medium rare steak to be superior to well-done steak. However, regardless of whether the steak is well done or not, there is no real point in smothering it with ketchup.
@@castironchaos There we are in total agreement. I don't like any kind of sauce on my steak.
