I've been going through my albums and completely removing, even though they're not being used to store my LPs, any of the PVC sleeves. Due to their off-gassing and what that does to albums and covers, I've learned that you really don't want those around your records. I used to just take them off and put my vinyl in the polyethylene sleeves and then slip those inside of the outer sleeve for my records. But I've been learning more and more how those PVC sleeves, even if they're not containing the vinyl, can still mess up the albums if they are stored inside of the album cover.
I'm legally blind and I have a friend coming over soon to help me balance my tone arm again. I want to start from scratch really and set everything up correctly. I've been noticing that on some of my albums, and like you I take extreme care of mine, I've been having them hang at certain points in playback. That's probably not the right terminology but I believe you referred to it as repeat. I know that my cartridge should not be the problem because I recently upgraded and it's all new. From the headshell to the stylus, it's all new and it really sounds a lot better too.
It's kind of ironic that I saw this video you made recently today. I was just talking about this same exact topic yesterday when talking to the friend that's going to help me go through everything and especially make sure my tone arm is balanced.

Hey Brian, thanks for chiming in and good to hear from you again! Glad you are getting the tone arm item adjusted. I was surprised to see how often the issue of the cue not lowering all the way is as well.
I know I could do a better job cleaning my records at times, and keep dust and the like clear from the grooves. I'm in dire need of doing a deep clean on the turntable itself, and maybe even picking up a replacement stylus as it's been a while.

@@AndyFenstermaker I definitely hear you and understand. I'm hoping to upgrade my turntable before long. One thing of interest I had not thought of was cueing lever for the tone arm. I'm glad you mentioned that. Mine seems to go down well but it seems to drop in the last fraction of a measurement. I don't like that when it finally seats the needle on the vinyl. But that is something I had never considered that might be causing issues on some of the albums I'm experiencing that repeat with. So thanks for the video and mentioning it!
