I thought Senate Bill 694 gives exemption for security team members are granted civil immunity in situations where they need to remove or use force on disruptive individuals during church services???
At our church, we have good insurance. However, insurance is there for the church first. I have urged my team to carry individual insurance to protect themselves. That insurance will also cover them when they are out in public. We also are continually working on our SOP's, our written practices that lawyers will be looking for when things go south.

Thank you for this very informative video. Second video does not work. Basic insurance 101. The Company is going to do all it can to deny any claims. The Agent your local insurance man or women are good people trying to make a living. They have little or no influence on the Company settling and paying the claim. Insurance company will send in specialist to represent them. And these specialist and your local agent have little or no connection. Insurance companies, cannot be trusted. Small claims is generally no problem. But if you have a huge event. Good luck!! They will collect your premiums for years and that with zero claims. Have on big claim and they will drop you! Be warned.
Hey Mark, it definitely seems to be difficult to get the insurance coverage we want. However, I think as Adam explained, it is important to have all those conversation up front. I am beginning to see that. I have not been asking the questions and if I do not have the conversations, then it is not going to be covered if something happens quite possibly! Thanks for sharing!
Or just have home fellowship like Jesus did and be able save that money to give to the poor. The Bible doesn't say give to the church no no give to the poor. The Bible says draw near to me and I'll draw near to you he was talking to the sinners not to the righteous not to the churches but to the sinners. He draws near the unrighteous. Church is a business literally why Jesus turned over the tables literally but people are blind because grandma her great grandma wife sister Rachel goes but the Bible says do you believe the traditions of man or do you believe in my word.

I was on our church security team, when I asked about liability insurance and coverage, they would avoid it, I quit the team.
