To add to the part about the fox sign, they do still have the "horns" in Japan. The traditional maloik sign is used in Japan as a sign of appreciation meaning "rock on" or "you rock". And they still have the fox sign in Japan that has no affiliation with Babymetal or Babymetal's Fox God. It's used to protray the animal fox and fox gods in general, so Babymetal adapted into their own Babymetal style maloik.

For all the haters Yui and Moa are live here. They don't sound much different. A little breathless in parts because they're doing a lot of dancing. That's about it.
I think what throws people off is how you can clearly see Moa's mouth forming and enunciating the words, but Yui kind of looks like she isn't singing because she doesn't do that as much. I personally get that that's just how she talks & sings from seeing other interviews and performances, but I do get where they might think otherwise. They're wrong, but I can at least see how they'd be mistaken.

The man behind the scenes is Key Kobayashi (aka Kobametal), and the company they belong to is Amuse. I would say the most famous groups in Amuse besides BABYMETAL are Perfume and One OK Rock. Not really into them so I wouldn't know what to recommend, but you might want to check some Sakura Gakuin, the idol unit inside which BABYMETAL was born. "My Graduation Toss" (ua-cam.com/video/OS190K_H69Q/v-deo.html) is not too poppy, is centered on Suzuka and you can see Moa and Yui too.

BabyMetal is very respectful toward Perfume and seem to regard them as their "Big Sister". Su Metal had considered it an honor to shake their hand. And Perfume was amazed that "The Cool Girl" (Su Metal) was so nervous when shaking their hand.
Black Babymetal is to give Su a break, as Su solo's give Yui and Moa a break. The story behind the "Fox Sign" as I understand it. Kobametal the creator and producer explaining metal to them, showed them the horn sign. The girls instead made the shadow puppet sign for a dog, wolf, etc. So the "Fox God Sign" became their symbol. If you watch their interviews, when they are asked something they do not want to answer. They say " Culturally the Japanese are very stoic and private in regard to family and themselves. Meaning we may never know what caused Yui to leave the band other than health issues. A plus of this culture is that celebrities can live pretty normal lives. They can eat out, shop, etc. with being harassed. I've learned more about Su from her sister than from Su.

I'm so happy, been requesting Black Babymetal for so long and now out of last 4 Babymetal reactions 3 has been Black Babymetal :). You're only missing Song 4, which is i think the best Black Babymetal song live, because of the chanting bit involving the crowd. It's not as heavy as Sis. The story behind the Fox Sign. When Babymetal was formed, they were shown pictures of Ronnie James Dio flashing the horns in his iconic style. The girls misinterpreted the sign and went around flashing foxes. They were never corrected, and the legend of the Fox God grew out of that. So the intent behind the fox sign is different. I Are there other bands on the same label? Not sure, but if there are, very few. BMD Fox Records was founded to record and manage Babymetal. Before that, they were on an indie, Toy's Factory along with Sakura Gakuin, which they were a subgroup of. When Sakura Gakuin switched record labels to Universal Records, BMD Fox Records was started for Babymetal. This was 2012. My guess, and this part is a guess, is it was done so to maintain control and rights for Babymetal. You should check out Limp Bizkit's "My Generation." In Japanese culture there are ways and expressions you can't simply extrapolate to western culture. Most Flowery language and wordplay translates very poorly. And Some of our "normal" expressions are considered extremely rude in Japan.

There's a reasonable Wikipedia article "Sign of the horns" that tells the tale of its connection to metal/rock music. And I am pretty sure it means the same in Japan, at least among rock/metal fans/musicians. The Kitsune sign is known in Japan from traditional shadow play. It was accidentally adopted by Babymetal when the girls mistook the devil horns for the familiar shadow fox. Kobametal decided to run with it and developed the background lore based on that inspiration. Or so the story goes.
The horns hand gesture comes from Ronnie James Dio and it's an italian thing that he got from his grandma. It's a superstitious gesture that is used to scare away the devil, or to curse someone. Nowadays is mostly used jokingly, with a similar meaning to knocking on wood in anglosaxon culture, as a reaction to something someone says that could be seen as jinxing. It's also used as a disrespectful gesture to imply someone is being cucked by an infidel partner. Babymetal cutified the classic metal horns into a fox gesture to make it into something more appropriate for young girls, as they were when they first started, and to give them a more peculiar aspect.

I usually try to avoid double-dipping... But I have to say that many people mistake the extreme sweet and cute kawaii of the Babymetal members for naiveté. Given family backgrounds of some serious heavy events I don't see them as being ignorant of the larger world or its nastier side.

I would say the most famous groups in Amuse besides BABYMETAL are Perfume and One OK Rock. Not really into them so I wouldn't know what to recommend, but you might want to check some Sakura Gakuin, the idol unit inside which BABYMETAL was born. "My Graduation Toss" (ua-cam.com/video/OS190K_H69Q/v-deo.html) is not too poppy, is centered on Suzuka and you can see Moa and Yui too.

Black Babymetal is to give Su a break, as Su solo's give Yui and Moa a break. The story behind the "Fox Sign" as I understand it. Kobametal the creator and producer explaining metal to them, showed them the horn sign. The girls instead made the shadow puppet sign for a dog, wolf, etc. So the "Fox God Sign" became their symbol. If you watch their interviews, when they are asked something they do not want to answer. They say "
Culturally the Japanese are very stoic and private in regard to family and themselves. Meaning we may never know what caused Yui to leave the band other than health issues. A plus of this culture is that celebrities can live pretty normal lives. They can eat out, shop, etc. with being harassed. I've learned more about Su from her sister than from Su.

I'm so happy, been requesting Black Babymetal for so long and now out of last 4 Babymetal reactions 3 has been Black Babymetal :). You're only missing Song 4, which is i think the best Black Babymetal song live, because of the chanting bit involving the crowd. It's not as heavy as Sis. The story behind the Fox Sign. When Babymetal was formed, they were shown pictures of Ronnie James Dio flashing the horns in his iconic style. The girls misinterpreted the sign and went around flashing foxes. They were never corrected, and the legend of the Fox God grew out of that. So the intent behind the fox sign is different. I
Are there other bands on the same label? Not sure, but if there are, very few. BMD Fox Records was founded to record and manage Babymetal. Before that, they were on an indie, Toy's Factory along with Sakura Gakuin, which they were a subgroup of. When Sakura Gakuin switched record labels to Universal Records, BMD Fox Records was started for Babymetal. This was 2012. My guess, and this part is a guess, is it was done so to maintain control and rights for Babymetal.

You boys would rake in thousands of extra subs if you`d react to Buckethead. A 6.6 ft tall guy with a KFC bucket on his head, a Michael Myers mask, who moves like a robot and plays nunchucks while shredding the most insane guitar you`ve ever seen. The dude has put out over 300 albums ranging from Blues and Jazz to Metal and Rock. It`s a sight to behold and you`d get lost in the insane amount of music he has to offer.

Babymetal no all about the metal horns sign when ever they use a reference to the Metal God thay will use the metal horns, but as you said there use the Kitsune the sign of the fox and they is an extensive lore baced around the Fox God with Babymetal that they have created, but it comes for Japan there are different Japanese folklore stories about foxes and they are as widespread and varied as rocks in a riverbed. In Japanese culture there are ways and expressions you can't simply extrapolate to western culture. Most Flowery language and wordplay translates very poorly. And Some of our "normal" expressions are considered extremely rude in Japan.
If you don’t think Moa can hold her own, watch her perform GJ! solo when Yui was unfit to perform. Then, watch the performance of Headbanger on Moa’s birthday. Her “HEDOBANGAAAAA!!!!” at the end of the song is epic. She is the best performer of the group in my opinion.

There's a reasonable Wikipedia article "Sign of the horns" that tells the tale of its connection to metal/rock music. And I am pretty sure it means the same in Japan, at least among rock/metal fans/musicians. The Kitsune sign is known in Japan from traditional shadow play. It was accidentally adopted by Babymetal when the girls mistook the devil horns for the familiar shadow fox. Kobametal decided to run with it and developed the background lore based on that inspiration. Or so the story goes.
The horns hand gesture comes from Ronnie James Dio and it's an italian thing that he got from his grandma.
It's a superstitious gesture that is used to scare away the devil, or to curse someone. Nowadays is mostly used jokingly, with a similar meaning to knocking on wood in anglosaxon culture, as a reaction to something someone says that could be seen as jinxing. It's also used as a disrespectful gesture to imply someone is being cucked by an infidel partner.
Babymetal cutified the classic metal horns into a fox gesture to make it into something more appropriate for young girls, as they were when they first started, and to give them a more peculiar aspect.
That hand gesture is their version of the metal devil horns, but it's the fox horns. Also, you want Su and Moa song? BxMxC
