...and one day while viciously throwing down on his box; he boldly declared: "Let there be house" and house music was born. Then he spilled some acid in the mix and the rest is history.

I started watching UA-cam more than 10 years ago in order to get to see people producing music live like this! Glad to see it’s still online as time goes by.
True mastery at work there… Just one pattern over >5 Minutes and he still keeps it alive and vivid all the time, not even one strange transition. Thumbs up, mate 👍
I love these machines as they are... no clone, no modification or whatever. I dont get enough from their sounds and this is already for 15 years by now. Roland means pure addiction....
really nice style man, intricate beats without overcrowding them like so many other people do, the timing of everything and the 303 sound amazing too, this sounds foookin beast!
I am listening to this track in my house with a couple of friends after a night out and every one of us in this room right now take our hats off to you for this track. Simply thanks for this upload.
Thank God!!!! Someone whose got gear and KNOWS what to do with it! Nice twiddlin' mate, will most definitely have to save up for these two chaps after listening to you knock that track up.
These machines come alive only when they are controlled by someone who knows how to groove. When it comes to watching 909&303 on UA-cam this is the first place to look(and listen) I think.Cool stuff.
the dynamic of the CL-Hat accent on a real 909 it's amazing, it has such a distinctive groove, makes you wanna dance! Another amazing feature I've noticed on a real 909 is the mixed output, where all the sounds get mixed with some kind of strange (probably cheap) techniques, it really makes a difference over those VST sampled machines.... they sound FLAT! Of course you can try to replicated the 909 mixed output using compressors etc... but it's a lot more complicated. Thanks for sharing!
TransistorBass 303 and TransistorRythym 909 are so Oldskool !! Great stuff It´´s unbelievable they are 30 Years old !! And you can still rock the kraut !!
HarmonikelektroniK It looks like the 303 has a blue LED mod, which becomes a bit more apparent when his hand is over the machine. The 909 has red lights on over the pattern and step write buttons; they're just hard to see. Also, the 909 looks to be in slave mode, hence no numerical digits on the screen. All in all, I think it's the poor video quality that makes it hard to see...
Sick! I've got myself a 303 groovebox, and although it doesn't offer the wealth of paramiters as these hallowed machines, I still find myself loosing 7 hours here or there making it fart out its goodness. Total props.
lol...that comment about these being old machines and your response made me laugh. This sounds exactly like a Josh Wink song from back in the early to mid 90's. Now the mystery is gone and we see how easy it is/was to make those tunes from back then...you tube has a good and bad effect at times. The TB sound can be cloned pretty easily in other gear, but the TR909 (analog sounds) not so much. I want a TR909 but not for more than $1300...nice video.
great work on the 909 .. I really appreciate someone putting a bit more effort in creative use of drum machines - unlike superstar chaps these days ;) cheerz!
@RhythmDroid I'm with you RD. Im tired to distorted 303's as well.. It sounds best when it's DRY. Well.. almost dry. Some compression / phraser at right doses might give it even "dryer" sound in some circumstances. =) There was too much hard acid techno at 90's with distorted TB's and BD's. What i LOVE is the oldschool 87-89 Acid House vibe!
@greendiego777 You need a "midi-to-sync-converter" like the "Doepfer MSY2". 909-Midi-Out into the MSY2, clock-out from the MSY2 into the 303. That's it. For the connection you need two Midi-cables.
Hi, I use the Doepfer Midi-to-Sync-Box. I have no problems with it. It works great with ableton. Maybe there's a latency on your Midiclock so check the "Midiclock sync delay" in live's preferences. Maybe this helps..
What do you use to sync the 303? We have real issues with timing when we use the computer as a master. It is like it sends a sys ex message and then starts? Weird! I have this cheap dync/midi sync box that is ok and a doepfer one that was expensive and annoying to use because of the switches on the bottom and crappy manual! Our holy grail would be ableton synced with the old roland gear. Especially the new live 8 with looper! Reckon some improv acid sets would rock with that combination of gear.
FINALLY!! A live TB-303 without buckets of annoying psytrance reverb and delay. Keep it raw, keep it PURE.
...and one day while viciously throwing down on his box; he boldly declared: "Let there be house" and house music was born. Then he spilled some acid in the mix and the rest is history.
This is one of the first videos, I watched in UA-cam in 2007. I still love it! And the TB-303 loves the TR-909 too. ♥️
Thanks for your Comment. Really long time ago.. Cheers!

Don't buy those old instruments. Go and buy someting to eat and a present for your wife!
THey are beautifull no wife :)
Best idea. Not.
Great live! same Groove as the time when I rubbed shoulders with European underground techno festivals called "Technival" in France
Why... I watched this again, and again, and again. Thank you so muxh for sharing this...
Haha.. Thanks for your comment. This vid is so old.. but I still have the 909. 303 is sold..
Quality performance!! :) Good job!! Love the old-school sounds!!
I don't care what other people have said about this track.......I F. love it! Real Old skool! I want this at my funeral!!! LOL!
I am listening to this track in my house with a couple of friends after a night out and every one of us in this room right now take our hats off to you for this track. Simply thanks for this upload.
If you get Behringer RD-9 and TD-3 you get halfway there!! Nothing will ever beat the original machines.
It's awesome watching you do the whole song without a sequencer. Huge props. TB-303 is my favourite musical instrument.
So glad I found you here ! Love your music, thank you for what you did for the acid music
These two machines are natural extensions to your hands. Great job.
I love it. I could listen to this clip all night and just dance like crazy in my room! :D
Add 808 to 303 + 909, and you got 2020!

Thank God!!!! Someone whose got gear and KNOWS what to do with it!
Nice twiddlin' mate, will most definitely have to save up for these two chaps after listening to you knock that track up.

Just can't keep holding my feet still with this beat!

I wonder how, in the name of what is holy and sacred, a person could possibly dislike this video... let alone 53 people.
togusa75 maybe cause the machines dont seem to be on
plk173 Electricity is so overrated in electronic music.
Could be the low quality. I mean it was 2007, but we're watching this a decade later and usually expect higher than 240p.
would love to spin this on vinyl!!!
Your a pro huh?
......SHOW OFF!!!!
NICE WORK and knob work too!!!ACCIIDDD!!! ANALOGNESS
Awesome tweaking work. Fantastic sound!
TB 303, TR 808 and TR 909 for me the best time I saw!!!
I use it on rebirth, maybe later i want to buy these things!
Great great great.
Best sounds!
Very good !! From Holland.
TransistorBass 303 and TransistorRythym 909 are so Oldskool !! Great stuff It´´s unbelievable they are 30 Years old !! And you can still rock the kraut !!
great oldskool groove, amazing concentration!
phattest bassline-909-mix ever!! i love that closed hihats! :))
love the pattern!
how come neither machine looks like it is on?? I own both and I see no flossing red lights on either
Haha well spotted!

exelent song, lov the sound of tb-303!!!!
You can have so much fun with just a 909 it's silly really. Love this vid.
You're a true master..Well done man...!!
Haha..

Total props.
I just love these machines.
I only ever got my hands on a 303. I would die to own this set-up. I love it!
WOAHH! I love the 303 Synth!!!!!! Impressive work man!
My 309 was fully expanded too. You could do quite a lot with it....and yeah, I'd take a Machinedrum too. :)

IanCanefire they were not easy to make. Just like writ9ng man in the mirror wasn't easy to write even though it looks easy now.
great work on the 909 .. I really appreciate someone putting a bit more effort in creative use of drum machines - unlike superstar chaps these days ;)

very nice and catchy!
why do people never perform like this live,
add the filthy vocalist and you got yourself a time of your life

hell yeah.. cool video! nice machines
Geiler Beat. Erinnert mich an die Anfänge von ACID mit Phuture etc.
AWESOME ACID. WHO cares "whether the lights are lit" NICE TUNE!!! ;-)
