Hello! Looking forward to my first Inktober following you and Kelli Blouin. Love your style of Zentangle so much, it's beautiful. It's great to actually be able to see and distinguish the designs that are in the tile. I've tried following books, but it just never clicked until a couple of weeks ago after finding Kelli's channel, and then found you as a result. The books made me feel like I had to try to fit as many designs as possible on a tile, and I just found that too much (both to do and to look at). The demos are so key for me understanding how to do the design. The reminders that it doesn't have to be perfect help too (chronic perfectionist 😀). Thanks so much for showing your set-up work!!
I totally understand! I call myself a recovering perfectionist (it’s chronic). I also have plenty of books, but learn the most from actual classes or videos. I really appreciate your comments. Thank you so much! I hope that you love Inktober!
Barbara! It is true that great minds follow in the same vein. I watched your intro video last night, and I thought that the W2 string would work for me too this year. I've been practicing it today, and I already love it. I'm using a Dylusions insert book in the craft card stock tone, and a page is quite the same size as four tiles. Last year I followed Zen Linnea's idea of having them all weave one into the next pattern, which I liked a lot. But this year I wanted to do something different. So, thank you for your leadership in this and for showing how to start this pattern.
Thank you, Barb! I think this will be a lot of fun. I was initially hesitant because I wanted to make it easy to follow. But my old brain figured it out! I need to check out your sketchbook. Haven’t heard of it before. Now it’s time for me to start recording my Inktober videos and have some ready ahead of time! 😁
OMG !!! OMG!!! I just had a big DUH! moment!!! You call them tiles because they are tiles that you can put them together side by side! All this time, I thought it was called a tile because it was duh! square shape and the size of small tiles. Now I feel soooo dumb!!! but I love your interwoven tile and the stitching - reminds me of a quilt but with beautiful tangles!
Actually, both of those are correct. They called them tiles because they were the size of kitchen tiles. But they are perfect for mosaics because you can turn them. 👍🏻 You’re not at all dumb, LOL! 🥰
I love this idea! I may have to do this. I had considered doing Huggins on a large piece of watercolor paper but I’m thinking this would be a good use for the grey tiles instead.
Are Linda's magical a powder? Could you maybe show us a video on how you use it? I usually just use watercolor to color my tiles but I'm very curious about this powder.
Barbara already did a video on the Lindy's magical. I love them, and use them often! You can also search UA-cam for other videos regarding Lindy's magical.
I’m so glad to find this video on how to set up the tile. I was going crazy trying to do it myself. And then you made it so simple. Thanks Barbara.

Thank you Carolyn. 😊
Yes I do have videos on how I use Lindy’s Magicals. They are a little different from regular water colors. But you can use anything on your tiles. 🥰
@@notperfectzen Thank you both! I'll look up the videos. They look so pretty!
