In fact it's not been clearly mentioned in the poem itself and lexically it can't be explained but we can explore it and contextually conclude as it might be about the different barriers which stop people from coming together and it could be caste, religion, creed, language, area and we mostly find these things in the society in which we live..... If we take this scenario into account as a larger one then it may go to the nation and the entire world as well because more or less the same barriers are there too... That's it...
