The collision penalty system was supposed to completely replace damage: which is why in very old versions of the game, both players were penalised for contact basically every time. But people don't want to be penalised for what someone else did: so they complained until Polyphony changed the system, and now it doesn't work.
@@daniellee4003I get it, for the average player/driver, damage will not keep them playing. The better and above damage is a big deterrent. That a "World finals " there should be instant consequences for bad behavior. As most have said, you'd never do that in real life.
The problem is that Fraga did two shady moves: 1. Lifting before Eau Rouge on one lap, but pulling out of the racing line, which I think is ok. 2. Lifting in the middle of Raidillon on the next lap, smack down the middle of the racing line, which I think is completely disgraceful. If that happened in real life, Hizal would have the same kind of physical injuries as Billy Monger. If Gran Turismo had a damage model, they both would be out of the race. The fact that the races are short and there's no damage makes this door banging racing, which is really cool to see, attractive to casual viewers. But it comes with a cost, and the stewards need to understand they are, for all intents and purposes, THE damage model. Fraga should have been issued a 10 second penalty or something.
"If that happened in real life, Hizal would have the same kind of physical injuries as Billy Monger. If Gran Turismo had a damage model, they both would be out of the race." But hey, isn't Gran Turismo "the real driving simulator"?? The real deal for me would be the 2 crashing out of the race ... and that's it; not penalties (Igor would learn a hard lesson, and Hizal would suffer from the consequences, unfortunately). By the way: Senna vs Prost feellings
Great question at the end about short shifting. One of my biggest questions was "if Fraga switched to map 3 after La Source, would he have gotten a penalty?". I think the main crux was the letting off right before Eau Rouge. If he lowered his throttle anywhere else, Hizal would've had a lot more time to react. But he quickly decided to ensure that Hizal would reach him right on the apex. It's fine to block like that on a corner, but Eau Rouge is flat in the X2019. Overall I'm fine with the result. If you want to apply the full letter of the FIA regs to Fraga, you'd also have to warn Hizal if there was proof he was lifting for his own unsportsmanlike conduct and for bringing the sport into disrepute by doing so. Oh, and you'd have to give 8 year penalties to everyone who took part in the repercharge race. Also there'd be an insane number of penalties overall. And that would never get better: there'd always be a new guy on the block who'd push it way too far. That's a very real issue if you separate this "pro scene" from the standard online play too much.
I'm genuinely surprised at how much the various GT platforms/channels have been sticking with this since it happened. Getting honest opinions on it from people involved is good too, it's nice to see that the coverage of these live events isn't going to be completely sterile and detached from the audience. Also good that Super GT confirmed that the live events are great.
I think that Fragas move was on the edge of illegal, but I wonder why Hizal gave up just after of what happened? "tires and fuel". Ok, let's suppose that he did get the position after the radion, could he maintain it if his excuse was exactly not having "tires and fuel"? I think the big issue is the mental part of it. Hizal lost his composure when it happened and after in the podium and interviews. I can understand the frustration, but you has to have the mental toughness in these moments. Cause he is already a very fast driver!
Dirty air affects a lot these cars. After the first sector there are a lot of corners where he would have got a big advantage because of soft tyres and dirty air. Who knows, maybe he would still not have won but he certainly would have had a chance to win.
M. A. Mikail had worn Softs and had to end the race with Fuel Map in 3 (Last 2 laps) I don’t know if he could have been able to pull a gap even with dirty air.
M. A. Does Gran Turimo Sport have dirty air implemented in game. I know that F1 game tries to do it. I personally don’t know about GTS if it does that’s cool.
The first interview sums it up PERFECTLY! 100% agree. 5 seconds was too short; that would have been dangerous irl; it sets a BAD PRECEDENT. That was unsportsmanlike conduct and beyond.
“If that was real life it could kill someone” Little did we know that on Saturday the 31st of August 2019, a slow car on Eau Rouge caused a collision and the Death of 22-Year old F2 driver Antoine Hubert (1996 - 2019, RIP)
If it's a FIA gt sport race surely it should be ran to a FIA law book i.e FIA stewards . I don't agree with fraga did but seemed very similar to what Lewis Hamilton did to Sebastian vettle at spa
@Aimedé Air Vettel slowed down also when Hamilton slowed down as he didn't wanted to pass and have the same that happened to Hizal on first time. Hamilton also had put on lower power mode. Both legends.
Alonso vs Hamilton high level fast thinking battles are my personal favourites tough. Still can't believe how they pulled so elaborate strategy so fast in Canada 2013 with DRS.
Thing is, it wasn't actually his strategy was it? He got punted by Cody at the end of the first lap and basically forced into the pit entrance. A very foruitous punt which could have won him the race, in fact probably should have won him the race. Unfortunately, Cody's second punt wasn't so fortuitous.
@@NickMcMillenGT you are very well spoken and intelligent, you would make a great champion and ambassador for the game. Most of the other drivers are very awkward.
My opinion on Hizal vs Igor: first incident Hizal made the mistake of go full throttle after being passed, he should have stayed behind like vettel did to Hamilton when he did that or don't go full right away at least. Second incident: Fraga did do what supergt said he should do, he was lifting way before eau rouge to keep hizal from draft passing him but he misjudged and had to lift again in radillion which caused hizal to brake. Stewards decided that it was dangerous and gave 5s. Hizal finished something like 1 tenth behind in the final standings I think, completely lost his composure as it's visible so it's fair to say he could have won if his mind was in driving the car. I want miazono to win next one as he was probably going to win this one with all the fighting ahead of him and he drove like a professional after being crashed by latkvoski.
For any contacts, Stewards will prompt to all drivers inspecting the case but not in the second incident you state. Drivers will consider as Stewards accept the incident is clean. If i am Hizal at that moment, I will slow down my pace to confirm the tire and fuel is safe to finish the race. Don't wanna take risk if dirty play is allow in the race.

I agree with Nick... if you're going to call it "the real driving simulator", AND have it as an FIA event, then you should have the full rules and ramifications that the FIA would apply. Having heavy damage on should also be included IMO, as well as fixing the stupid "bumper car" physics where light contact can send you flying like a ping pong ball. Also really hoping this deal with Michelin sorts out the racing tyre models. I get coaching from David Perel and he's stated clearly that while the road tyre model is okay, the racing tyre models are far from the real thing. The real question is: Will Polyphony Digital REALLY listen? Their past history and even current situation doesn't give me much hope. There's not a harder game development company to get hold of directly, they just hide behind Sony so they don't have to deal with their own customers directly. It's pathetic. There is Zero transparency with PD.

The fact he got a 5 sec penalty is an admission he pulled a dirty move by PD itself. However it still stinks, if that penalty had been given in game it would have translated to much larger delay on Fraga overall and Mik would have won. Theres so much BS in these comment sections its laughable
Derek S Hizal wasn’t going to win. Forget that. Igor would catch him again cause he was in better tired situations (even if wasn’t the soft ones) and he had more fuel to use. We will keep in that discussion till one day they show us the real Tire and Fuel from each driver. Till this momment, is pure individual interpretation.
@@_Vino. Yeah that reads stronger than it should have, more accurate to say Mik would be back in it and from first pos with Igor having to deal with dirty air etc |gor winning would not be the guaranteed result you might think.
here is another point, in gt6 when a car lifted or brake checked you and you hit that car you would receive sometimes a 10 second penalty, also had hizal hit fraga off the track as alot of people would have from not having enough time to react, he would have gotten a 5 second penalty by the games standards. the more I think about it the more dirty I see it.
It is dangerous because many drivers use GT sport or sim racing in general to enter or practise for actual racing. Frago himself is an example, he is racing single seaters
Well, some of these guys may very well move on to real life racing. And if you’re making dangerous driving mistakes here and not getting punished enough, they could put someone’s actual life at risk.
Mik, Fraga.
Let's be honest here. It wasn't an attempt to let him pass, if he really wanted to let him pass he would have done it like the lap before. Here''s what i think Igor's thought process was: He knew Mick was faster on the soft tyres, he already let him pass the lap before and he wasn't sure if it was a legal move, he feared that by doing it again he would have gotten a penalty, so slowing down on Au Rouge was his "only" option. It was a deliberate attempt to slow him down. Spa is the next race in the F1 calendar. Try to think what would happen and what the consequences would be if Hamilton (the reigning champion like Igor) pulls a number like that on Seb or Max. It would be black flag level of punishment in my opinion, or a 10 seconds stop and go at the very minimum (...if there's a functioning car and driver left to punish).
I agree that we need more realistic penalties for these things. With Gran Turismo and GT Sport being a gateway into real world racing, penalties need to be taken a lot more seriously. This isn't just a game for these guys: this is motorsport.
Get rid of aggressive tyre wear, aggressive fuel depletion. Use realistic slip stream strength and get rid of bop which does not work anyway. Bop should create an even field using any car but when it comes down to it there is always one or two OP cars that everybody uses and we end up with every race looking like a one make. Also make all compounds of tyre in the races instead of kettling everybody into one or two availble strategies.
The incident at the end of the race between Hizal and Fraga is on Hizal. Fraga has been smarter than him and his defense was not over what we have already seen in real life races. It was borderline but it was a Barcelona 92 Mansell-Senna exact same position just before the same kind of corners. Mansell was on the inside with Senna on his side, Senna had to slow down and leave Mansell going ahead because there was no way they take their turn both at the same time. As a stewart, I would have remember the perfect exemple Barcelona 92 Mansell-Senna battle to my co-worker and all the drivers and Fraga wouldn't have got a penalty because if a F1 world champion as hard driver as Senna was had to let it go, there's no way a non-professional driver would succeed. Hizal didn't played well or Fraga played it very good but the overtake has failed right from the top of "le raidillon de l'eau rouge". Hizal found himself too close of Fraga and had to stop accelerating a bit to avoid the crash. From then, he couldn't get his overtake to succeed because he had no longer the time to completely be ahead and to have the legitimity to go throught. At the top of "le raidillon de l'eau rouge", to succeed an overtake, you have to be as fast or faster than the car ahead, if you have to stop accelerating, the time you need to get back behind is enough, at least here, for the car ahead to defend its position. What is not real is an overtake attempt on the outside before this type of sequence of turns. That's the difference of point of view between a real racer and a game racer, a gamer will find far more overtaking opportunities than a real racer because neither his money or physical integrity is on the line.
If you want real racing game, the perfect game would be one with a budget, with reperation to pay, with the possibility of founding the car completeley destroyed after a crash and the necessity to buy an other one. And of course a game over in case of bankruptcy with the necessity to restart from the beginning with low categories of cars. As long as there will be no true lost, there will always be rammers, divebombers, late breakers, etc, etc, all kind of people spamming a game.
I think if Fraga deserved a penalty it would have been to push out Kubilar at the start of the race making him loosing all the benefit of his very good and fair start and a lot more. As he started with his soft tyres, his good result hopes was over less than 1 mile after the begining of the race. What worst for a that big event final ?
Maybe they should do a driver instruction with the stewards before the event starts to tell everyone what is expected behavior and what is not tolerated. Sad to say so, but in real fia races it is done too.
What Fraga did may not be a conventional champion move, but it was fine, how he did it is not ok, should have short shifted, move off the racing line..... so many other ways rather than the "brake check" method that he did, other than that SUPERGT+1 BROADBENT +1!!!
For my opinion, 5 sec penalty was fair, but mik could avoid fraga, he had space enough to change race line or lift off the throttle to get slipstream, f1 had more aggressive moves and no penalty was given, who is behind have to deal with
It's worth mentioning that irl drivers employ similar tactics to prevent opponents from getting a run down the Kemmel straight. However, several factors made such a move here overly risky: overpowered GT Sport slipstream, Igor's gap to Mikail on the approach and a Red Bull car that could go flat out up the hill even on hard tires. In the ideal situation, Igor would've eased Mikail right up to his rear at Eau Rouge and then gone up the hill as normal. That way, he would've slowed Mikail's momentum and timing for that pass without excessively slowing one another. Unfortunately for Igor, he didn't close that gap enough by the time he reached Eau Rouge. Up to here, I think Igor would've been okay. Igor's decision to lift while climbing the hill instead of going full throttle went too far, however. With the elevation change and the speed differential between the two, it's effectively a brake check on the racing line.
I'm guessing you're saying you don't mind that he basically gave up after the incident instead of racing to the flag and gaining victory after Fraga was penalised?
@@katrinapaton5283 I don't particularly care for what Hizal did what I do care for is that sportmanship should number 1 in GT Sport and what Fraga did was unacceptable. So I became a fan because the move of Fraga wasn't correctly penalised and Hizal is the main competition for Fraga.
There was no issue, just a bunch of cry babies making something out of nothing due to the fact he is so much better than them. A little strategic lift to slow Hizal down, that was all.
Basically what happened is the guy in front lifted off the throttle in a corner you can easily take at full speed. So he deliberately slowed down in a corner (when he clearly didn't need to). That way he blocked the way of the driver right behind him since he stayed on the racing line. Under FIA racing rules (which this game uses) that's illegal behaviour since irl that could cause a massive (at that speed possiby deadly) accident. Coincidentally he did it in the exact same corner that recently took the life of a young F2 driver and put another one in a coma. It's a blind corner that you take at full speed hence its dangerous nature.
@@tominatorxx You cannot implement official FIA rules to an event in which the parameters or not the same as they are in real life. GTS has it's own set of rules. We are talking about a game with no damage or crash physics. The lift from Fraga was strategic although all he was guilty off was misjudging it slightly. There is no danger whatsoever in Esports. Fraga puts himself in danger every week when he straps himself into a real life formula car and races on the limit against real race drivers so using the terms 'deadly' and 'dangerous' is a bit over the top when none actually exists. What this is is something that has been intentionally blown way out of proportion in order to add drama and controversy to this world tour, to further add to it's popularity. So he made a bad judgement call and was punished accordingly. He still won fair and square. It's has no relevance to Huberts accident at all other than it was on a virtual version of the real track so using it as some sort of 'whataboutary' is just tasteless.
@@badly_dubbed2401 Only thing I stated about the Hubert crash was to explain how dangerous a corner like Eau Rouge is. And that it's no place to do unexpected moves. Has nothing to do with "whataboutery" but if you want to look at it like that go ahead... I really don't care... And a game that is constantly shouting about their partnership with FIA and claims to follow FIA rules should punish that sort of behaviour just like in a real race. And in this case that was a highly dangerous move in a very dangerous corner. Basically something the FIA rules wouldn't breeze over so easily. FIA rules state that if your behaviour on the track endangers others, you'll get a punishment for that. Now if you want to be a racing game that uses FIA rules, you have to punish unsporty or clumsy (choose whichever it was in this case) behaviour like that as well. Doesn't matter if we're talking about rl racing or a video game. Damage and crash physics are also beside the point here because that has absolutely nothing to do with this. What do you want to say? That players should just ram each other of the circuit? Because I mean it's not real life right? And there's no real damage right? So I pushed him off the track "fair and square". Oh wait I said ramming... uhm... I mean "strategic punting". It can't do any harm right? There you go just add the word strategic to your behaviour and it's all fine. This is about racing etiquette and sportsmanship in a game competition that uses specific official rules from rl competitions.
@@tominatorxx Like I said, it was strategic, bud misjudged. I technique used at Spa for decades. Hardly worthy of the vilification and the 5 second penalty was fair, even more so when you compare to Latkovski's incident. Which WAS a blatant punting off. It's just a FIA endorsement. You can throw all the FIA rules you want at it but that fact is it's not compatible with 99% of them in it's current format and driving a car without the fear of damage will always, and has always, made GTS quite aggressive. That is just how it is. Some people get it, some don't. The contact physics in the game are not real. Is it sportmanslike to spit the dummy out and give up on a race and generally lower the tone of the whole event?, no it isn't. Fraga knew how to wind Hizal up and had him in his pocket the entire race. That's what makes the difference between a real race driver, and a sim racer.
Describing it as "dangerous" is ridiculous. Unsportsmanlike is a better description because there is zero danger to their fellow competitors. If it were a real race in real cars then yes, but it isn't.
The trouble is people will be pulling that stunt in dailies and FIA and somehow feel justified because the world champ did it, the sad thing is its not like Igor needs to cheat, he already has a place in the final! he must have really needed that new watch...
Nicely done Jimmy however; I've watched this 5 times and still can't see who did what? Somebody please explain for us dullards. In real-life, are you not allowed 1 defence of position.. Who committed what? I'm lost.
@@QWE1233I4J Similar to brake checking. The corner is normally flat. Deliberately reducing speed to block the driver behind is illegal under racing rules, its basically blocking in a straight line
Mikal knew he had no chance of winning because he didn't have enough fuel to battle and complete the race. So he decided to go to the hunt for Igor to press him to make an error. Why Mikal didn´t finish close to Igor to win this race?
Flavio Marques yeah. This excuse fits perfectly for him. Hizal strategy was based on that momment, when was his last chance to overtake, but igor used defensive moves, so after this, he knew he had no chances anymore, cause was no tires and no fuel lft to keep fighting. And for those that say he could win, why Hizal gave up? ~ Cause he had no chances anymore 😂😂
At least get your facts right before giving your opinion. Mikail overfueled on his last stop by 1+ lap. He used more fuel when attempting to stay close and make the pass on Igor (like previous lap before contact). 3 laps to go he had to save fuel as he had less than 3 laps at current consumption rate (he did not give up, as some suggest). Had he been rightly in front of Igor, he could have used his fuel tactically to stay in front. Middle sector save fuel and give Igor dirty air (further damaging his tyres), use more fuel first and last sector. Victory for Mikail. Especially if the 5 second penalty had been applied during the race.
Igor had more fuel and tires in better situation... he could pass Hizal again when Hizal start saving fuel. So no victory. Also he was having an normal race, without taking any risks and not being aggressive. If he was more agreessive, this could end different. And I agree, if the penalty was during the race, Hizal would win. But wasn’t. Anyway, let’s wait to the next event and see this battle on fire 🔥
As well as lift in a flat out corner I think Fraga did the dirty on Hizal when Hizal was passing on the outside of the corner on lap 17 and had is nose in front of Fraga and Fraga pushed him out causing Hizal to drop back or risk spinning out. Agree that Hizal should have pushed on and stayed up with Fraga after that but can see his point (maybe) that he had no chance of passing Fraga if he keep racing dirty so settled on a safe 2nd. Disappointed in both drivers.
Cheers Jimmer, nice job again. Still conflicted about the incident, wish the racing had been cleaner, but Igor got a penalty and Mikail still didn't win. Maybe if there had been a penalty in race the result would have been different, at least drivers would have known where they stood.
FFS Why does everyone avoid saying that Hizal would not have won had he passed Fraga since he had to save 6 seconds worth of fuel in the last 2 laps ? This doesn't mean I say Fraga's lift was fair.
An excellent weekend of fun and racing, with a soured taste at the end. It showed us that Igor will do anything to win no holds barred, and thats the issue here. The stewards failed big time we all know a penalty on track is more costly than after the event. A case of to little to late. Lets get Steve in to replace Julia lets face it shes just eye candy, Steve knows his stuff.
Never expected that from draga, sad part is Brazilian drivers in general on gt sport have a stereo type to not be able to win without pulling dirty moves as is. Now, your top super star is reinforcing that stereotype.... Could hand them the position and they’ll still force you into the grass because taking that position freely isn’t good enough... Not what senna meant when he said if you see a gap take it...
Hiya jimmer , tbh I find a lot of sim racers don't have a clue on how to race ,hence they are called gamers and not sim drivers , I've raced on real tracks in real cars and it's completely different , We as sim racers have rules and they are basic racing rules and if you don't know them basic racing rules ,then go back to Mario cart, I see it all the while gamers thinking there Nigel Mansell and half of them don't even have a driving lience ,end of the day it's all pretend , And sim racing is Supose to be fun , But basically the guy cheated, who lifts off to 40% throttle going thru la rouge , a cheater that's who because he then wants you to overtake him so he can over take you,and once at the corner it's hard to overtake again, That's almost diver bomber mentally but without the actual diveboming lol, Keep up the good work and keep the vids a coming
At the end of the day it's a dirty move, and guess what... Hes brazilian. Say what you want, but it's just engrained in them. No such thing as honour among thieves.
Fraga was smart in his defense moves, he had to defend himself, it is fact. Hizal did not swallow Fraga's strategy, and gave a loser speech trying to manipulate the audience. He is a fast driver but missed the strategy: Don't be sorry, be better! - Kratos.
Drive thru penalty should have been made for that kind of incidents. 5 seconds was kinda low in my opinion, a dirty move should always lead to a huge penalty.
You know what is actually dangerous, every time Fraga puts himself in a real formula car and races toe to toe with other real life race drivers. Honestly people, gain a little perspective. It's an esport, and until GTS implements more 'real life' features like damage then I can't see anything wrong at all with that kind of tactics. It's like the final chicane at Fuji, we cut the shit out of it because we can and their are zero repercussions. It's not right and wouldn't be a factor in the real word be everyone does it in GTS. We touch the walls at Bathurst, because we can. All this vilification of Fraga is extremely pedantic and cringe worthy to say the least.

Finally a decent comment
Best comment ever! Great analysis
I thought hizal was fuel saving?
Not sure Latkovski is the person to be pointing out anyone elses dirty driving
All this drama is making we more excited to the next show heheheh
2 more to go
I'm genuinely surprised at how much the various GT platforms/channels have been sticking with this since it happened. Getting honest opinions on it from people involved is good too, it's nice to see that the coverage of these live events isn't going to be completely sterile and detached from the audience.
Also good that Super GT confirmed that the live events are great.
Gran Turismo Race Review and Post Race interviews LOVE IT
I think that Fragas move was on the edge of illegal, but I wonder why Hizal gave up just after of what happened?
Brazil - cancer
@@DaniMacYo Yeah it does. You can feel it in the Gr. 1/2/3 cars (Gr. 3 not so much) and in the Extreme Cars lije X2019/F1 car/SF car.
The first interview sums it up PERFECTLY! 100% agree. 5 seconds was too short; that would have been dangerous irl; it sets a BAD PRECEDENT. That was unsportsmanlike conduct and beyond.
“If that was real life it could kill someone”
Little did we know that on Saturday the 31st of August 2019, a slow car on Eau Rouge caused a collision and the Death of 22-Year old F2 driver Antoine Hubert (1996 - 2019, RIP)

great discussion! Jimmy, you did a great job!
TWO DAMN TIMES!!! In a FULL THROTTLE ZONE!!!
Once is testy. 2 times is just adding insult to injury.
So, no question about Miyazono's unusual strategy?
Shame he didn't win, because then we would all be appreciating it.
I was hoping he would comeback on the lead battle
Thing is, it wasn't actually his strategy was it? He got punted by Cody at the end of the first lap and basically forced into the pit entrance. A very foruitous punt which could have won him the race, in fact probably should have won him the race. Unfortunately, Cody's second punt wasn't so fortuitous.
Katrina Paton I don’t think he was punted, the commentators exaggerated that, I think he had full intention of getting rid of those hard tires ASAP
Thanks, Will Buxton 😘
Nick was spot on, well said.
Thanks. I try to be firm, but fair, but also understanding from both sides. The stewards had a rough job making a decision that's for sure.
@@NickMcMillenGT you are very well spoken and intelligent, you would make a great champion and ambassador for the game. Most of the other drivers are very awkward.
Penalty was far too lenient. I would have said 15 second stop-and-go bare minimum. Fraga didn't deserve a podium placement after that.
Nonono. It was debilitate. Should have been a DQ and a race ban. Personal opinion.

My opinion on Hizal vs Igor:
first incident Hizal made the mistake of go full throttle after being passed, he should have stayed behind like vettel did to Hamilton when he did that or don't go full right away at least.
@@NSYXAV1ER yes, but he should have stayed in 5s if he believed a penalty was possible, fia penalties are 5s, 10s, drive trough, black flag but they almost exclusively only give 5s.

This is a great addition to the youtube content you do. Jimmy's questions were on point and asking questions many people wanted to know. He seems so natural infront of the gran turismo cameras. Well done tonally involved very enjoyable. Damn! Pit reporter too, this Jimmy. Awesome. Let's do this, Jimmy! Keep at the sim racing: it will only get bigger! Otherwise your (pit) reporting experience could even let you move on to even better stuff
Have car damage and that would keep drivers from bumping cars to hard.
Did he really just say 'it's dangerous' refering to a video game?
Dangerous in the sense that harm could be inflicted. Doesn't have to be physical does it
Yes. Stupid isn't it.
Is it not weird that in almost the same spot that Igor Fraga pulled that move there was a major accident in F2?
Not here
fraga to be in Erieeesssss saltiest drivers vid

Through the pits "stop/go" penalties should be issued for what would be deemed major infringements
Mik, Fraga.
Good decision to have Jimmer do the interviews
Give him the f1 grid walk :)
Leting Fraga win is like stating that Lootboxes are not gambling...

The real driving simulator... DAMAGE OFF!
They need to sort it out in the car park
Maybe they should do a driver instruction with the stewards before the event starts to tell everyone what is expected behavior and what is not tolerated. Sad to say so, but in real fia races it is done too.
well nice move, not running away from the possible mistakes that the officials made
What Fraga did may not be a conventional champion move, but it was fine, how he did it is not ok, should have short shifted, move off the racing line..... so many other ways rather than the "brake check" method that he did, other than that SUPERGT+1 BROADBENT +1!!!
For my opinion, 5 sec penalty was fair, but mik could avoid fraga, he had space enough to change race line or lift off the throttle to get slipstream, f1 had more aggressive moves and no penalty was given, who is behind have to deal with
#InviteSuperGTAgain
Bumped into Simon Bishop at the shops the other day...He's a Kiwi dudes, not an aussie
typical aussie lol
Funny how albon literally did the same thing as this guy. Minus the weird braking at the top of eau rouge
I wasn't a fan of Hizal before but I am now does that say enough.
Why is there zero good angles being shown?
This is paddock pass.
I found it interesting how SuperGT folded his arms whilst speaking to you............
Come on Steve, you're not that shy and guarded are you?
As someone not upto date with online racing games, can someone please explain what the issue was with the first race clip?
I'm still lost to what Igor did wrong, did he bait hizal and bump him off the track?
Since Covid it’s hard to get a clean race

Nicely done Jimmy however; I've watched this 5 times and still can't see who did what? Somebody please explain for us dullards. In real-life, are you not allowed 1 defence of position.. Who committed what? I'm lost.
I think the car in front let off the throttle going up the hill to slow down and block the car behind
Fraga won fairly. They just want an excuse for losing and Fraga is the scapegoat.
But wasn’t.
Anyway, let’s wait to the next event and see this battle on fire 🔥
fraga is a bitch for driving dirty. Hizal is just a whiny bitch. should have stfu and keep pushing

Simon Bishop is from New Zealand not Australia so thats the wrong flag lol
FFS Why does everyone avoid saying that Hizal would not have won had he passed Fraga since he had to save 6 seconds worth of fuel in the last 2 laps ? This doesn't mean I say Fraga's lift was fair.
After host this in Salzburg you should host it in Porto.
An excellent weekend of fun and racing, with a soured taste at the end. It showed us that Igor will do anything to win no holds barred, and thats the issue here. Never expected that from draga, sad part is Brazilian drivers in general on gt sport have a stereo type to not be able to win without pulling dirty moves as is. Now, your top super star is reinforcing that stereotype....

Hiya jimmer , tbh I find a lot of sim racers don't have a clue on how to race ,hence they are called gamers and not sim drivers ,
I've raced on real tracks in real cars and it's completely different ,
We as sim racers have rules and they are basic racing rules and if you don't know them basic racing rules ,then go back to Mario cart,
I see it all the while gamers thinking there Nigel Mansell and half of them don't even have a driving lience ,end of the day it's all pretend ,
And sim racing is Supose to be fun ,
But basically the guy cheated, who lifts off to 40% throttle going thru la rouge , a cheater that's who because he then wants you to overtake him so he can over take you,and once at the corner it's hard to overtake again,
That's almost diver bomber mentally but without the actual diveboming lol,

Say what you want, but it's just engrained in them.
No such thing as honour among thieves.
Fraga was smart in his defense moves, he had to defend himself, it is fact. Hizal did not swallow Fraga's strategy, and gave a loser speech trying to manipulate the audience. He is a fast driver but missed the strategy: Don't be sorry, be better! - Kratos.
8:43
