Any coach should be trying his best to get his player to win. Imagine if you’re one of his players and he said Travis Hunter should win it would look like he’s not looking out for his player.
Colorado players care more about winning individual trophies. Boise cares about winning games. Travis gon be at home on the couch cheering for Jeanty 😂😂🎉

I don’t think the Boise coach said anything bad about Travis or Coach Prime. He is naturally bias and will speak up and push for his player to get the award, just like CP does. The only thing he said was Jeanty is in playoffs so he should win over Travis who is not. He was just speaking up for his guy. Jeanty is great and any other year would probably have won. Travis is great on both sides of the ball and plays every snap. Travis has made unbelievable catches. Travis will win and Ashton will be runner up. They will all hangout together and get interviews before the ceremony and become friends. Travis is very likable and a good kid and I’m sure Ashton is too. Both coaches have every right to give reasons their guy should win as long as it doesn’t get personal and putting the other down. So far that hasn’t happened.
Come on man!!!! You don’t know by now, you will never never know. Coach Prime is doing him and ain’t no stopping him. World gonna be full of haters. Don’t hate step you all game up. Buffnation 🏈💪🏾💯
Funny thing is jeanty is as high as second on some watchlist but a majority of them he’s 3rd and forth on the list . Also literally last year the heisman winner played on a 3 lost team
Colorado Tied for the Conference Lead and only a “Tie Breaker” is keeping them out. So his argument about Travis not leading a team to a Championship game, though true isn’t fully strong enough to be a deciding factor against him. The only thing that’s keeping them out is not directly tied to a players performance! All three teams are ranked including Colorado……
Plus, its the Mountain West Championship… other than the Its a weak conference, even Colorado State ended 6-1 but lost a tie breaker with UNLV and we dog walked them playing bad.
Yup, but they based it on the Oregon game from when O was playing horrible. Shoot O almost lost the Idaho a week later and then they shot up to where they are now.
Boise State’s HC is supposed to hype his player and Jeanty is a beast for sure. However, this notion that only players who are playing in Championship games should be considered for the Heisman Trophy is weak. The country hasn’t seen a two way player do what Travis Hunter has done “to the level that he has excelled” since Charles Woodson!!! Give Travis Hunter the Heisman!
Actually NOBODY has ever done what Travis has done. Woodson played defense, and a few offensive plays that targeted him….not 85% of snaps on both sides, excelling on both sides.
Last I checked, the Heisman is an individual award. Team champions are team awards. It amazes me how these so called educated people always seem to forget this.
Exactly, the way he's talking Jeanty wouldn't qualify either cause Boise State isn't gonna be the REAL college football champion. He's may win the weak A MW Championship but not the big one and he better hope they don't lose this weekend. Prolly will but will look stupid if not because according to him Jeanty can't win it.
What's so funny is that you can tell many pushing for Jeanty are anti Deion (Boise fans excluded, obviously). Plain as day too, They don't even watch him play 😂. When did America start watching Boise games??? I guess it's only bandwagoning when CU is involved, huh🤫
He might be right about the best play in the championship game. It definitely answers the question of being good enough to get there. Had Travis not being injured for 1 game, CU would be 10/2 and in the football championship game. Ashton jeanty is the next most deserving
"Recently, CBS Sports dropped a stat bomb that turned the college football world on its head. In an Instagram post breaking down the season’s top rushers, they crowned Ashton Jeanty as not just No. 1 but also No. 2. Confused? Don’t be as the 5’9” powerhouse leads the FBS with a jaw-dropping 2,288 rushing yards while also holding the second spot with an outrageous 1,695 yards after contact. Let that sink in-this man has more yards after being hit than most backs have in total."
Yes. Spencer Danielson made the point about playing in as a champion should be a consideration regarding the Heismann. When CU played and lost to KState, Travis did not put the team on his back and carry them to a win and to the championship game in his league. Ashton did just that against a feisty Wyoming team that had a great plan. Travis is a fantastic player, and the Vegas odds are based on “betting” and covering those bets, which is why Travis is not a lock. Betters bet;the don’t vote. As for coaches, they will advocate for their guy. Both Jeanty and Hunter are generational talents. I feel blessed being able to see such elite talent in this Heismann race. Watch tape and you are impressed by both of them. Whoops, who have you seen put up Jeanty numbers before? Oh, right…Barry Sanders, the best running back of all time. Travis plays both ways, but is he the best player at his position on either side of the ball? How many better receivers are in front of him right now? How many defensive backs are ahead of him right now? How many Running backs are ahead of Jeanty right now? None…and it’s not even close.
Jeanty to a good running back. But he is NOT the best PLAYER in college football. Let me be clear, anyone who gets 30-40 carriers a fkn game. This dude gets more carries then NFL running backs who at best average 12-18 carries a game. Talk about padding stats. Last game he had 37 carries for 228 yards. Thats like 3 yards a carrier. He's a decent / good running back good for him. But what he is doing is NOT legendary and you are NOT the best player in ALL OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL.
Agreed! He has 312 carries in 12 games for comparison Saquon Barkley has 246 in the same amount of games; also you can't say he's the best player in college football, maybe the best RB but not the best player, he's not even a complete back he doesn't catch out of the backfield well nor does he pass protect good either - I don't want to make this a negative thing about Jeanty b/c I do think he's really good but those are things you see when watching & they're on his scouting report so I didnt make that up, the scouts see it too.
3yds a carry ?.... Dude that over 6yds a carry...do you know what kind of offensive efficiency those numbers equate to? You fools know nothing about football. Every 2 times that man touches the ball , it means they are getting a first down. Not only that, because hes so good , and efficient he opens up the offense for the passing game tremendously. Smh, yall ate prime fans and not students of the game. Anybody that knows football wiuld know whos the better player statistically....abd its Jeanty by a landslide
@eltonjohn4239 so by that logic its an even better argument for Travis, he's averaging 12.5 yards a catch so every 1 time you throw him the ball you're getting a 1st down plus. What passing game did he open up tremendously? His QB aint even top 50 in yards in the country, their passing attack was basic that's why they just ran the ball. No way Jeanty is the best player in the country when he's not a 3 down back, doesnt catch well out of the backfield & isnt good in pass pro, look at his scouting report from NFL scouts if you think I'm making it up. Dude is a really good runningback, saying he's the best player in the country is an extreme stretch. Melvin Gordon ran for 2500+ yards in the Big Ten and didnt win, no way you think a rb from the Mountin West is winning - only opponent that face that gets respect is Oregon the rest of that schedule is trash! Hawaii, San Diego State, Georgia Southern, San Jose State, Nevada, Utah State, Wyoming, Portland State(who tf is that?), UNLV are all bottom tier teams🤷🏾♂️ if you play NCAA all those schools are 1-star/2-star programs😂 and when deciding awards level of competition matters.
@@eltonjohn4239I suppose we should all just wait and see what the sportswriters and former Heisman winners have to say. My guess is Travis, by a landslide.

The question is, where would each team be without their star player? Boise State: Tough to imagine them as a top 25 team competing for a conference championship without Jeanty. Colorado: Without Hunter, they would be exactly where they are right now... NOT competing for a division championship with a worse record than Boise.
My hope is these two fine young men are very focus on their NFL future and not get caught up in the opinion that are coming because sometimes opinion from a well respected leader can cause division among players, people if you're, these are two fine and nuture young mens so my comment is who ever wins dont let it draw division you both a great future waiting for as coach prime said ( his is collecting dust its only hardware brotherhood is stronger).be grounded . Travis is playing on both sides of the ball at a level that no one has seen before! RBs are a dime a dozen! Travis is 1/1! And effective on both sides of the ball!

😂Hell Boise State only played one team and lost. Colorado would beat the brakes off Boise State. They going to get smacked in the playoffs just like Oregon. These playoffs are such a big mismatch ever.
Ashton Jeanty from Boise State, playing in the Mountain West Conference (MWC). While his stats look great-2,288 rushing yards, 28 touchdowns, and an average of 7.3 yards per carry-context matters. The MWC simply doesn’t compare to the SEC, ACC, Big Ten, or Big 12. Those conferences are the big dogs in college football, and Jeanty’s level of competition is nowhere near that caliber. Let’s look at who he’s padding these numbers against: teams like Wyoming, Fresno State, San Jose State, UNLV, and Utah State. These are solid programs for the MWC, but let’s not kid ourselves-they’re not on the same level as teams in the Power Five conferences. Even the MWC’s toughest matchup for Boise State this season would be against Colorado State, who sits third in the conference standings-and Boise State hasn’t even faced them yet. And sure, Boise State beat Oregon State and Washington State in out-of-conference play. But let’s not forget, these are the two teams left behind after the Pac-12 imploded. Are those really the wins you want to hang your argument on? Do you genuinely believe Jeanty and Boise State could consistently compete against top-tier teams from the Big Ten, Big 12, ACC, or SEC? If Jeanty is truly as elite as you claim, why isn’t he showcasing his talent in one of those conferences? Now, compare that to a player like Travis Hunter. He’s competing against a completely different level of talent. The ACC, Big 12, Big Ten, and SEC are where players are tested week in and week out. These are conferences where teams and players scout, play, and compete against elite talent regularly-whether it’s through 7-on-7 tournaments, high school showcases, or in actual games. Travis has proven himself at every level against top competition. Meanwhile, Jeanty is putting up big numbers against programs that barely rise above JUCO level. Bottom line: Jeanty’s numbers are impressive, but you have to weigh them against the competition. They’re not on the same level, and that’s the difference.
@@kumasi5991 he put some impressive stats against Oregon who is #1 in the country. Sure, Boise State lost but only by an impressive 3 points on the very last play of the game in the final seconds

Boise State is not running the CFP table. If Boise State played Colorado, they'd lose. Even if Boise State played every team in the CFP bracket, in the regular season, they'd lose to them all.
Lol. I love the fact that he said best player in the country and not best running back in the country. Because he’s already admitted that Travis is better. Everyone agrees that Ashton is the best running back. There may be some doubt as to who the best quarterback is. But I love the fact that this guy is now going to say the best player has to be playing in the championship. Championships are a team thing. Travis showed out during Kansas game, but the defense did not and that’s why they lost. We would be having a very different conversation if the defense would have showed up. Yes, Travis does play on defense and that’s why Kansas didn’t throw his way. This is worse than my cousin who is a cowboy fan telling me that Romo was trash because he lost to Manning and I told him that Romo scored pretty much 50 points and they still lost that’s not on Romo. Some people just can’t see past Deion Sanders. Travis Hunter, his hands down the runway Heisman winner. If it’s hard for some people to see, just imagine he was playing for Alabama and he has the same stats. Then I think it’ll be OK for him to get the Heisman. By the way, is there any three lost teams that made it to the college football playoffs?
There hasn't even been a 2 loss team make it to college football playoffs but that's when only 4 teams were selected now it's a 12 team playoffs selection so a 3 loss Bama team or if Georgia were to lose the SEC Championship could still get in.
He’s the best in his position but not the best player in the country, jeanty isnt doing anything like Travis hunter is doing, you see a jeanty every year, nothing special.
I really think if Colorado played Boise State in a bowl game they would beat them and shut jeanty down Boise State had a weak ass schedule. Jeanty is not like Trav
I’m ok with what the coach is doing but what he’s saying is a joke and he knows it. He’s just doing a bad job at what coach prime and WOM has 100% changed the game on at Colorado football.
Wouldn't say that's "Bombshell" news , but OK.....
Or, if you’re one of the best players in the country, you’re not playing in the Mountain West… I get it, he has to say something. But give me a break!
This guy always appears to be unprepared with his information.
Boise is playing in the mountain West come on now
Hunter didn't even get in the running for the Heisman!!!! 😂 Deion has to give him his Heisman trophy!🏆 LMAO !!! 😂 He's already well off anyway 💸
You slow and dont know what you talking about.
@BUFFS-vs-EVERYBODY Your TRIGGERED!!! Because I was just repeating FACTS💯!!! Hunter wasn't in the running for the Heisman and Deion said he was going to give him his Heisman trophy 🏆, and Hunters already a millionaire 💸!!! 💯 FACTS HOMIE!!! NO LIES!!! Quit being up in your FEELINGS!!! 😭😂🤓
@@marcossoliz506 Jim Thorpe award my friend.
@harrymalone7117 That's FACTS 💯👍was a contender,but was snubbed!!! 😂 Not even that!! LMAO 😂
@marcossoliz506 lmao he wasn't in the race for Jim thope award it wasn't the heisman....so whatever dude..
Boise State is not running the CFP table. If Boise State played Colorado, they'd lose. Even if Boise State played every team in the CFP bracket, in the regular season, they'd lose to them all.
Aw man, thats not a shot. His team is in a lower division. Thats why Jeanty wont win. So, they are even
@ Bama made it… I don’t think they deserve it. But I’m not on the committee.
🦬💯
He’s the best in his position but not the best player in the country, jeanty isnt doing anything like Travis hunter is doing, you see a jeanty every year, nothing special.
I really think if Colorado played Boise State in a bowl game they would beat them and shut jeanty down Boise State had a weak ass schedule. Jeanty is not like Trav
I’m ok with what the coach is doing but what he’s saying is a joke and he knows it. He’s just doing a bad job at what coach prime and WOM has 100% changed the game on at Colorado football. I mean you can see some other schools trying to copy what Bucky and wom is doing with online media. If I’m Bucky I’m creating wom company and selling my services to other ncaa teams. Boise coach and everyone else can hate all they want to on Travis Hunter and Colorado football but they can’t do shit about it. I haven’t seen too many 4-5 star recruits recommit and choose Boise state. The proofs in the pudding. And oh yeah, what the hell is boise states head coaches name?… 🦗🦗🦗’s
If Travis was sooooo valuable, he would have helped his team enough to earn a chance to show off this weekend in a championship game, but he didn’t and he’s watching this weekend from the couch. CU’s strength of schedule is pretty poor. Jeanty literally clowned on Oregon with 190 and 3 TD’s.
dude stop Hating you don't know football your talking ignorance
