Koa, you asked about their ages but before I tell you keep in mind this is actually a 7 member group. Ahyeon was on hiatus for healthy reasons and was unable to debut with the group for "Batter Up" and "Stuck in The Middle". Their ages as of the time this "batter Up" video released and in order of vocal appearance... Rami, 16; Rora, 15; Pharita, 18; Chiquita), 14; Rappers are Ruka, 21; Asa, 17. Ahyeon returns in "Sheesh" and she is 16 at the time of release. She raps and sings. Chiquita, Ruka, Ahyeon and Asa have all had birthdays as of the end of April so they are a year older than the ages above.
After hearing "Batter Up", fans were complaining that they wanted to hear Babymonsters vocals. YG listened and this was a very risky move for a 2nd release. But it worked.

probably at least 1-2 more rappers will appear in the near future as well... I would not be surprised at all that we end up with 7 main vocalists, 7 rappers and 7 dancers(they already are) when all is said and done. This group is insanely talented, super young, and ridiculously hard working. Literally nothing is off the table for any one of them.
Chiquita is actually 15. Her birthday was on fabruary not on april

This was a 7 members girl group, first 2 MV only have 6 member and the last member only join back during 1st mini album SHEESH because she just recover from health issue.

Edit: Asa (the rapper in Sheesh with 2 ponytails/the 2nd rapper in Batter Up) also is a songwriter, as she wrote her own rap verse in Batter Up.

Just a suggestion for you that you can watch there live performances they are awesome too.
Crazy when you know majority are still under 18. Youngest is 15. And she doesn’t rap in these but supposedly is learning so they could have 4 doing raps. Give them a few years. They will be taking over especially as they can sing in English too.

I saw someone once say that apparently, Babymonster was meant to debut with Sheesh in October 2023, but due to Ahyeon's health issues, they delayed it and released Batter Up as a pre-release in November instead. I don't know if it is true, but it could be true.
Yes, that's true, and by the way, Sheesh is their debut song, not Batter Up. YG said that their debut date is April 1 with their mini album.

RUKA: the girl in the first scene on the Earth; she’s 22 years old + oldest member; she’s Japanese, and the team’s main rapper and main dancer.
CHIQUITA: the girl in the blue dress that looks like Elsa; she’s 15 years old + youngest member; she’s Thai, and the team’s lead vocalist, sub-rapper and lead dancer.
PHARITA: the girl in the purple dress that appeared right after Chiquita; she’s 18 turning 19 in August; she’s also Thai, and she’s the team’s lead vocalist and lead dancer.

Great reaction and breakdown and Babymonster is already looking to be the leader of the 5th Gen. Could you please check out XG. They debuted in 2022 but broke out last year with Shooting Star and Left Right: maybe start with those 2. They ended the year in December with Winter Without You mv and their live version on The First Take show was a masterclass in live vocals. This year, they did a collab with Riot Games’ Valorant called Undefeated, just dropped their Tapes #4 which is their rap series and oh yes forgot to mention their performance art video Hesonoo/XGene which will blow your mind. They are on another level but still under-appreciated but their fandom is very vocal and supportive (called Alphaz). They are 7 members and all main vocals and apparently they will be dropping a track where all 7 members rap although normally they have 4 main rappers and 3 vocalists although all are stellar vocalists also as well as all being main dancers. Super talented
