2024-07-19 Dvi išnaudotos debesų gatvės. Smagi 3 valandų užduotis. Klaida prie Alytaus

2024-07-19 Kaip įprasta, turėjome skirtingas oro sąlygas virš Varėnos miškų ir kitur, ne tokiose miškingose vietose. Pavyko gerai pasinaudoti debesų gatvėmis. Viena pro Lazdijus link Lenkijos sienos, kita nuo Matuizų pro Daugus iki Alytaus. Prie Alytaus neatlaikė nervai ir nusukau į šoną, kad pasiimti aukščio, bet tai buvo klaida. Reikėjo dar šiek tiek paeiti į priekį prieš vėją ir tik tada stoti imti aukščio, nes vėjas buvo pakankamai stiprus. Ten susigadinau vidutinį maršruto greitį.

2024-07-19 As usual, we had different weather conditions over the Varėna forests and in other, less forested areas. I managed to make good use of the cloud streets. One through Lazdijai towards the Polish border, the other from Matuizy through Daugai to Alytus. Near Alytus my nerves got the better of me and I turned sideways to gain altitude, but that was a mistake. I should have gone ahead of the wind a bit more and then only then stopped to take the altitude, as the wind was strong enough. There I lost the average speed of the route.
