- Join me for Season 1 of ICARUS as we try to survive the aftermath of an alien world terraforming project gone wrong. We will explore, build, craft and fight to survive!
In Season One we will be doing an Open World play through on the Olympus Map, our main goal will be to complete all of the Missions related to this map. We will also be building, farming, mining and all the other fun stuff!

I like the weather system in the game. I have never seen a survival game where the weather can destroy your base. Do any other games have this mechanic
I know some games the rain can cause buildings to degrade over time.. but not sure about full on blow your house down storms. The nice thing is you can build more stable buildings as you open the higher tech, and some of the newer biomes bring in new weather types to worry about and overcome. Thank you for the comment!
Glad you picked this one back up Madd! I had played it awhile ago in beta when it was the mission based gameplay and thought "Meh". SO MUCH BETTER with the open world gameplay now. I started a game yesterday and I'm really enjoying it so far. Glad the devs switched it up and have solo only type content!
I feel this is a sleeper.. there is so many options to tailor this game to any play style just bout. Hopefully we can convert some more Prospectors during these series!
Making me want to play badly. Got SCUM yesterday, its a big learning curve.

This could be a long series.. I think there are around 60 missions plus all the biomes to play with. I want to do builds in each one and even multiples if needed.
Hello april. I've played SCUM for almost 4K hours. I left the game just bacause the huge changes after every update. In my opinion it's a better game than DAYZ but to learn how to play you need 3 to 6 months (depends on how much you play every day and if you watch How To videos).
I started PVE solo (6 months) then i switch to PVE online for 6 more months and then i played on PVP servers. Not official servers because of the chineese cheaters... Enjoy the game!

ICARUS has to many DLC extras. You playing the base or with some DLC content ?
I have all the DLC content.. I bought the supporter pack during Beta. This Season One play through is going to be all about the first main map (Olympus) and doing all the related Missions.

I like to have two knives on my quick bar in early game as they always break at the worst possible time.
Yeah I know that feeling... wolf in your face "snap".. or even better skinning an animal and it breaks and then his friends show up! 😁
