Somehow, despite the evil being that Oberon Vortigern is, I can't help but feel pity for him. Even before the final fight, we can ask Oberon one more time if he ever found his star, his light, his "hope" which was Titania. Oberon stares at us first with shock, them immediate with disgust, saying, "This is why I hate people like you." and proceeds to fight us. His response seemed off guard then went into defense to hide whatever truthful feelings he kept inside of him. If what Oberon says is true, that every word he says is a lie because he is Oberon the Liar, then even the lies will end up being true, a means to disguise the obvious. Even when falling to eternal death, despite mocking at us as we escape, Oberon just stares, stares at the light of Shadow Border's thrusters boosting away, like a shining star, and in remorse, loathes himself for not being able to make his dream come true, to find Titania, the one person who could love Oberon for who he is.
There’s a line about how even if he HAD found someone like that, Oberon the Liar would not have believed it. Blanca was the princess of the Welsh faeries. She fell in love with him at first sight, and even when she knew what he was doing, never stopped helping him, even giving her life to shield him from Cernunnos’s curse. She was the closest thing to Titania he might ever know.
he’s a conceptual being, his curse twist everything he says to become false/lies, even if what he says IS true(the destruction of norwich) the world ITSELF twist it to be a lie(we managed to stop it despite the prophecy), that’s the curse he have to live with, if he tries to be truthful the curse changes it, one way or another -i read it somewhere
It's kinda confirmed that Ritsuka is the one closest to his ideal Titania in FGO Material XIII. The material said "きみ" is the pronoun he only uses for Titania, and he uses that for Ritsuka in both his summoning line and his Valentine scene. It might also be the first time Ritsuka appears in the list of Related Characters in a Servant's profile, in this case Oberon's. It does make sense. Ritsuka is the one who could see through Oberon's lies without fairy eyes, and chose to confront him about those lies but as a friend & without any judgement. In the end, even after he betrayed them, they still asked for his true feelings, indicating their willingness to accept all of him, the good and the ugly. I think it's also not a coincidence that our Shadow Border is shown as a shining star in his eyes, and we all know who his star is.
how i interpreted oberon vortigerns speech here since all his worlds get twisted into lies: im gonna miss the time we spent together, i really enjoyed it im glad you could stop me
@@Slayerofall21 to know what obeon is feeling you need to read in between lines, is not as simple as bizarro logic. For example, in the summer event he says that "You look fine i guess" just so Ritsuka stopped bothering him, so it seems he just gave a half assed compliment the thing is, because you think oberon is a liar, you would think that "yeah he didnt like it" but in reality he did like it he just misdirected you into believing he didnt Basically, he is the biggest tsundere of them all and everything he says is a paradox
Moving screens are truly the bane of my existance.

Can it be save to assume that Castoria is Fujimaru's star?

So, basically, he operates on a "Bizarro" logic
Gotcha
@@Slayerofall21well not really. If he's direct then yes. Otherwise,
I love you becomes I hate you.
I hate you becomes I don't even care about you.
That's actually true so don't worry no one will complain

Ok...this... this is some serious writing, Shakespeare tier as ironic as that sounds!
