Io quel giorno c'ero, sono passati più di trent'anni ma ricordo tutto come se fosse stato ieri . Macchine fantastiche, l'area 48 del Motor Show ... indimenticabile. Se non sbaglio alla guida della 405 c'era Vatanen , e sulla 205 è possibile ci fosse Ivan Capelli ? Chiedo conferma
Misa RASETA i would probably not have been as successful as his smooth unaggressive style is not suited to cars like this, he likes his cars set up to understeer slightly. he would probably have been best suited to the quattro against teammates, or cars like the mini or fwd saab. tarmac specialists were mostly uncompetitive over a season until cars nolonger required homologation so the ridiculous adjustability has levelled the playing field hence the French dominance of the past 15 years. when they generally struggled over the season in the past. Finland was the cornerstone of the wrc driver supply, 2002 was last time, but they are still the force in club events using homologated/converted road cars.
Really good cars,i would like to see also B group rally but it is history, the drivers were saying that they were going so fast, faster than brain thinking,it was simply to dangerous to drive this power with so limited help. The 405 and 205 are looking spectacular thoo,i smile every time somebody asked why 405 has that funny rear end (they dont know the power lying inside the car)
Nutzer they had electronic fuel injection on audi quattros (most audis towards the late 80s) the lancia 037 i sat in (at race retro) had efi too. its hard for me to believe the t16 didn't too. but I've never been in or been close to a group b t16 with it's engine on show. mfi was being phased out when group a and b took over from group 1/2/3/4/5 in motorsport. my old Chevette rally car had an ecu and it used carbs, but that was a cocktail of lots of cars.
Great video. One of the rare videos featuring magnificent 405 T16
grazie per aver caricato questo video io quel giorno c'ero ricordo la 405 sputava fuoco in fondo al rettilineo da paura
anche io ero li la 405 tirava terra quasi sugli spalti
trop trop bon! Merci pour ces images!!!
Yeah, when I heard it I was surprised and so happy.RDV in June to see Loeb with the new 208 T16!!!

I believe you.
Monster cars with monster drivers
405!!! FIERRO CALIENTE
1988... good footage
The 405 is missing the front splitter. Imagine the understeer from the rear wing at speed without downforce in the front
Juha and Ari?
pity they never built the short version of the 405 T16 for customers
👍👍👍
I would like to Seb Loeb driving one of those monster group B!!!!

@156GTASelespeed they had no ecu`s they had mechanical injection. like audi engines from 80s to 90s...

Eh no they didn't have mechanical injection. They had an electronic Marelli-Solex injection system and electronically adjustable turbo boost
405 pikes peak 205 t16 Evo 2
When you se the modern race of champions, you seet his and ask, what the fuck are they doing!
@solighsm
