7:04:15 Me 7 hours into an 11 hour Northernlion stream compilation hearing him say "what are you doing watching the old content its not that important there will be more content tomorrow" knowing damn well he's currently streaming at the time of my writing this comment
I have to say, you are an incredible thoughtful content magician. When I hear NLs chinese food bit I was 2 seconds away from searching that stuff up and wouldn't you know, dr librarian already has the clip inserted. Wondering. All self-contained.
9:16:00 still crazy to me that he thinks Nixons drawings are weird when there's Hoover right next to him doing the exact same thing but way more advanced
1:30 That has me so confused. I also used a guard at 6mm and it took off way more than the barber did. He said he used 6mm, there's no way that's true if the guard works. He was even taking off the guard and did some deeper cuts in mine. But I just zipped over the thickest part with 6mm and it got thinner than I've been in a decade. I need that to cover the chin, guard.
First clip: Yta only because why are you mad? It became an "oops we accidentally made your life harder." They were chill. Then you're mad that they dont run their household the same as yours? It was a nobody sucks here then he ranted about how mad he was that they didn't mimic his habit.
(In light of the drought of banter in the coming days I’m gonna prompt a discussion and just pretend it’s chat) Is a dishwasher a common appliance in NA? Around here only the richest households have it.
i think its pretty common but i find a lot of people just use them as a dish rack while still having to run it once a while to keep the dishwasher itself clean
@@TheLibraryofLetourneau I see I see. I ask cause I’m pretty sure I’ve never even seen one in person. It’s one of those things that when you see in media you can assume that it was filmed in a first world country lol
@@TheLibraryofLetourneau Not saying you're wrong but why would anyone do that? Isn't it much cheaper and far more time efficient to just use the dishwasher?
He went so hard on the Gary Kasparov thing but I genuinely think he is wrong. Since at a certain point you can basically see the future, all you would have to do is identify some of Kasparov's blunders and then use them to your advantage in future runs by doing a some planning. There is no way in hell it would take 100 years. I'd say 1-2 years max and you would get a win. edit: the more he talks about it the more I realize that he doesn't even understand the premise.
There are many problems with this, It's easy to say "take advantage of his blunders" but what you don't understand is how difficult it would even be to get him to blunder in the first place, an average chess player is never going to challenge him, he'll beat your ass in a few moves. So your first problem is actually getting good enough at chess to even challenge him somewhat. Let's say an average chess player is generously around 800 elo, you'd probably have to get over 2k before even hoping of seeing a blunder from him, which with the limited resources you have in the timeloop would certainly take far longer than your timeframe already. After that, just seeing a blunder doesn't mean you win, you now have to be able to take advantage of it, which is already hard enough to do correctly, but Kasparov being the chess god he is is never gonna lose off one blunder, he'll just fix it and beat you anyway. The only way you win is by beating him almost legitimately, which indeed would take way closer to a 100 years than 1-2
@@kiiturii I think you underestimate the ability to see the future. You’d get to play the same game over and over again, review all your mistakes every time you lose, and change the outcome to be in your favor slowly over time. It’s an insane advantage if you use it properly. To be closer to 100 years than 1-2 years you would have to play at least 52 years worth of matches. If it takes someone that long to properly use the time loop then I don’t even know what to say. People don’t get creative enough in these theoretical superpower discussions.
@@chanter3978 you don't see the future, all you see is you losing. You're too focused on the timeloop, you don't even think about what it takes to beat someone like kasparov, sure it sounds appealing to just do the same moves every time and "know" what he will do, but how will that help you win if your moves are shitty 800 elo moves? It's never gonna lead to a win no matter what, he'll just beat you every time, just because you get to loop back and do the same moves doesn't mean the outcome will change. And again, this method would require you to even be able to indentify a blunder from kasparov which you wouldn't be able to do while still bad at chess, this method requires you to already be very good at chess, you don't have to be AS good as kasparov, but you have to be real damn close The people who think they could do the same moves every time because they can "see the future" will be stuck forever
@@kiiturii I see what you mean about how good Kasparov is, and maybe I just don’t get how bad someone who only knows the rules is. I guess it was me who didn’t understand the premise, because it was never supposed to be ME inside the time loop, it was supposed to be some random guy that only knows the rules of the game and nothing else.
