One of the most underrated bands I've ever had the privilege to listen to growing up. They deserved to be huge I don't exactly know why it didn't happen but they definitely got robbed. The music was always sick, the lyrics were amazing, they were insane live. I loved every song on Lucy Gray and Low Country. I saw them sort of by accident in 2007 at the Saints and Sinners festival and was instantly hooked and still am.
Hi I just spent half an hour trying to think of this bands name or any of their lyrics and I just read lists of emo bands and finally found it. I used to love these songs
Discovered these guys through spotify the other day as a recommendation, I can't believe this is even the same band, lowcountry (the only album on spotify) blows this away but I guess everybody starts simple.
Yeah record companies need to get their shit together and either find a way to play nice with spotify or move the hell out of the way. I pay for a membership and still there are some labels that are super stingy with records they released. The new circa record required that I buy it on itunes to "unlock" the identical streaming versions on spotify even though I only listen to a few bands in a month probably.
***** I don't even know why catchiness is a factor. I did have a couple of their songs "stuck in my head" back when the album was still new to me (lowcountry) but I get annoyed usually when that happens. I judge records on factors like creativity and musicianship.
i remember seeing these guys along side Army of Me and The Almost back in 2008. I heard them play this song and the hair all over my body stood straight up. It was amazing.
Yup that’s how I found out about them. They were probably the best band on that lineup. And I was there for The Almost haha (just like pretty much everyone else who was there)
Envy on the coast is super super super amazing. I saw them in May 09 and I'm seeing them again in March. My sister and I can't go a day without listening to them, or referencing them in some way..
i haven't heard this song in like a 2 years and i still love it,..... i still love Envy on the Coast i always will ...... this is my fave song by them and probably every fans to because this song is amazing..............................
this isnt bad, i wanted to check this band out because i remember this band playing at a TBS concert but i don't remember what they sounded like at all so i was like hey i should look up that band. I LOOVed that concert
hmmm thank you youtube for this suggestion...I think it is lovely. Yay for youtube suggestions that are actually good! lol I would like to here more of these guys.
to elaborate on what type of Technique it is...The reason for as singer to pull the Mic away from his face actually is more than just a look! its done to keep his high pitch vocal parts from peaking the Mic and hurting you the listener.. think of it as a way of Equalizing your voice without a sound guy helping, also its used to fade out of notes to make for effect...
WHAAAAAAT? that's like...the best line up EVER. omg you don't know how jealous of you i am right now. I want them all to come to houston. :[ welll lucky you! hope you had fun!
This song is soo amazing :D I listen to a lot of bands and diffrent kind music, but this band tops almost all of them :D They're awesome! Wish they could come to sweden sometime... ^^
Still listening to this day. I will never understand why they weren't one of the biggest bands around.
Me. Fucking. Too.
Same
really?
Maybe because it was a pretty big rip off of The Receiving End Of Sirens…
I agree! I saw them in concert once and it was a blast!
2023 and I’m still blasting this entire album.
I remember seeing them by mistake in warp tour 2007, fell in love instantly and bought lucy gray from them. still one of my favorite albums
Best accident, 10/10 would buy it again.

But Envy on the Coast is nowhere in the world near "Emo" bands?
I spent 15 years trying to find out the same thing 😂
Discovered these guys through spotify the other day as a recommendation, I can't believe this is even the same band, lowcountry (the only album on spotify) blows this away but I guess everybody starts simple.
sadly as of right now, lucy gray isnt on spotify. pisses me off.

these guys are musical geniuses!!!
Classic 🖤
This band brings me back and reminds of the true "emo" scene in the early 2000's.
Like this band is the epitome of my 6th grade year.
Sorry but your generation of emo is garbage, not true. If you wanna hear true emo you gotta look to some early 90s bands.
wow these guys actually... rock. significantly. i can see why they were blessed with the chance to tour with TFOT
Oh, man. This band is too good.
i remember seeing these guys along side Army of Me and The Almost back in 2008. I heard them play this song and the hair all over my body stood straight up. It was amazing.
Michael Strange 10 years ago🙌🏻 amazing show! I was there too! Do you have any videos from that show?
Yup that’s how I found out about them. They were probably the best band on that lineup. And I was there for The Almost haha (just like pretty much everyone else who was there)
thanks i'll give it a shot.
i really like how this fan base is so respectable to non-fans, you rarely see that these days, at least on youtube.
Absolutely in love with this band now! Especially "Like I Do" from their new album.
This band is much more impressive when you see them live. I happened upon them at SXSW 2010 and was amazed at their talent.
One word = Amazing
If only they were still a band
Envy on the coast is super super super amazing. I saw them in May 09 and I'm seeing them again in March. My sister and I can't go a day without listening to them, or referencing them in some way..
