Seeing how McDonald interacts with the team makes so much sense why Pat wanted Langer gone. McDonald is a pushover and Pat wanted to be the big man who wasn't comfortable with a strong leader with opinions like Langer around. Strong leaders aren't afraid of having other strong personalities around.
