I am confused by the comments and criticism Drew receives. He is a business and who obviously has built/gathered customers or clientele that are willing to pay his asking price. It’s not his fault that the sellers that sell to him do not have client list he has.
It’s a business transaction. I have seen Drew tell a vendor he was asking too little in some cases. The difference between his purchase and selling prices is his earnings. Just like everyone else. Good luck to him I say
One of drews strategy's is pay a fair price for smaller cheaper items. Then go for the jugular on larger higher priced items. So he suckers the seller thinking hes fair. Then rips them off on the high dollar items. Smart man.
people in the comments obviously don't know about the antiques business, I'm no expert but I do know that nobody sets a price on a tag that isn't marked up, they don't make an offer where they don't make money and they don't take an offer where they don't make a profit. They don't have to take his offers, he knows what kind of money he can pay/need to make for his business to make a profit. People in the comments act like all the other dealers are stupid and don't know exactly how the business works. To everyone who thinks Drew should pay more, would you pay more for an item if you could get it for less? if not, why should he?
Never understand why Pritchard thinks everybody owes him a living or to make him feel right, gets discount then adds on 5 times what he pays and tells all those that watch his program how much he will make on it
It's just business, keep in mind he has a company with many workers that need to be paid, also he spends money on restoration of items who knows when they will be sold, there is no point of buying an item full price and doing all that work and time for a measly profit.
Nobody seems to get the truth about this guy. His shop/outlet at Liberty's failed. His shop in Colwyn Bay failed, He Put all his "bad buys" into Dreweatts Auctions on March 5-6 2024 to pay off his debts of the " fat end" of almost a Million. He pretends it's all his own " Personal Collection" But it's all the stock and mistakes he's overpaid for and can't sell. Imagine how well he might have done if he had a BIT of an ego. ha!!
Drew said he would most probably buy double on everything haha,he treats other dealers like scum and i would just say tell you what if you don't want to pay,say goodbye
