[29] If your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. -Jesus Remove yourself from what causes the temptation, and know that all people will have to stand before Jesus at the judgement day. And even the smallest thought or, Littles insult will be remembered, even your thoughts. But keep in mind there is no condemnation for those whom are in christ, if you are convicted of your sin, you have his spirit. Start small and begin a reading plan for the Bible, i would start in John, work your way through the gospels, reading small amounts, so we can retain. Then, when tempted, you can rejoice in christ, and use the knowledge of his word as a shield to prevent from fornication entering your heart. I will be praying for you friend. Romans 6:1-7 [1] What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? [2] May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it? [3] Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? Read Roman's 6 and 7. You are dead to the law. Your old man is crucified. So long as you trusted in the Gospel. In the finished works of Jesus Christ. Life isn't easy in this present culture. You will sin. We all do. You have to take this, in prayer, to God. I know it is uncomfortable. Trust me, I'm an alcoholic that has to seek the Lord for my ways about every month. That doesn't make you a less productive Christian. It just makes you flawed like the rest of us who realize: This is all about God's glory. You've been cleansed by the blood, which is why this is a concern for you. That's natural. But the only way through flesh and temptation is through the spirit (Rom 8:13). And if you think that God will take away your desire for women. Trust me. It will not happen. I'm unmarried and my eyes wander every day. I've prayed and prayed. It will not go. But He created us to multiply. If you have a woman, thats another issue, obviously. Any how. I love you Simon. God loves you. Do not let anyone tell you (including yourself) that your actions are a problem. Its only when you don't judge them internally you have a problem. We're all here with you no matter what these folks say. None of us can walk in Christ's shoes. None of us are worthy of our calling. We just quit looking back, and press on unto tomorrow. It's a process. The Holy Spirit isn't going to change you all at once. If you end up dying before becoming "perfect," then die on the road. Thoughts and feelings are in the abstract part of our brain. We don't always have control over those things, but God does. Take those thoughts captive and ask the Holy Spirit to guide your heart.
It truly gladdens my heart when I hear this man. He speaks with humility and passion. I pray that more people subscribe to his channel and others like this. Because God's words are amplified when spoken by those with a true heart and who are also humble.🌈😇🙏

I am sad because even though I pray and pray and try to seek the Lord I am still indulging in lust. I know I am grieving God, and when I gave self-pleasure to myself when I was a teenager, the holy spirit convicted me of what I did and I started crying. Now I have been struggling with lust for 12 years and despite all that he is still faithful. I really want to change, and I am trying to seek him from the bottom of my heart, shifting my priorities. Also I indulge with lust because it makes me feel safe when I have anxiety. But I no longer want this to be my priority. I want God to be there so that when I have anxiety, I seek him and not lust. Please pray for me, because I have been struggling with this sin for so long and I don't know what else to do...
I wish to bare testimony, I also have lustful issues. And I have also smoked. I have wished to reconnect with God the Father, my trinity is broken and I know I have sinned against him, my mental health might not help. But I always kept hoping that I can reconnect connect to him with all his glory, my problem was I known that my father was a sinner, I wish to look forward. I do not know if I may reconnect with him because I have sinned against his ways, I ask him in my head and my heart and maybe my gut. But I know I really KNOW who my father is. But my mental issues. I pray that we all reconnect with someone that will understand and or respect that connection. Amen.
God is faithful to forgive - “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 ESV Read Romans 7 and see if you can relate to Paul’s words - “For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing.” and he also says “Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.” He notes that it is not Paul that is producing the sin, but that the sin lives in Paul, being a sinful man, and the sin itself produces the actions we hate. Do not identify with the sin, because you are not the sin. Paul also tells us that yes, we should not go out of our way to sin even if we’ve been forgiven and Christ died for ALL of our sin, past, present and future. But that doesn’t mean that we aren’t still sinful men, wrestling our flesh and blood, our sinful desire - That is the human condition. What we must do then, is trust in the forgiveness of God, that He loves us and is willing to forgive us if we confess and ask forgiveness (“Ask and you shall receive, seek and you will find”). Until we are made perfect (some believe we won’t be fully perfected until we are dead and pass on to heaven, some believe it will coincide with the return of Christ to earth, etc it’s a complicated topic I’m not well versed in), we will continue to wrestle with our flesh/with sin. It’s just the way it is. But we have freedom from sin and death in Christ Jesus! We are free from the shame and guilt that plagued us before, we are freed from the penalty of sin and the inevitable death and eternal separation from God we deserve! God sees Christ in us if we are saved, Christ paid our debt to God and His righteousness has been laid on us, that God no longer sees our sin - He is willing to look past it. Praise God for that! I say all of this, even being in a similar position to you - in the back of my mind I have the thoughts of going to my bed, opening up the websites I know I shouldn’t indulge in, doing things I shouldn’t, etc. and knowing I am so weak I probably will end up doing it. And part of me wants to, while the other part of me doesn’t, and knows it’s wrong. But I know I need Jesus, and while I’m stubborn and continue to do the thing I do not want to, I have to trust that He is faithful even when I am not, and that the only way forward when you stumble 7 times is to get up 8 times, dust yourself off and praise God.

I am trying to stop smoking but it has been my outlet for so long that I find it hard to not at least take a couple hits from the bl*nt to avoid looking out of place. I don’t buy it, I don’t even consume infused products… It’s more-so just a social activity now. I like singing and I am trying not to ruin my voice which is His gift to me, but it’s hard… I spend more time alone and in the presence of God than anything else. I am finding community but I hope to move away so I can continue ascending. I don’t need we*d, I need the Lord and a change of scenery.
Can someone pray for me to have a heart that is free of lust? And free of thoughts regarding lust? I feel like I'm not strong enough to truly break free, even though I keep praying and talking to God, but I just want someone to pray for me.
I still struggle with desires to cave into lust, but through Christ alone am I able to fight it off every time. Submit yourself fully to Jesus, and repent. Most teach that repent means of your sins. No. Repentance is to change of your wicked ways, and to follow our lord. I will pray for you.
@ in this regard it is for sexual desire. People can also lust for wealth, power, food, you name it. The passion for something greater than your passion for God essentially. :)

I’ve been free from lust for about 10 months but sometimes have bad thoughts about it and I know it’s wrong, Please pray for me❤️Glory to God!
