- The BTS Proof concept photos, damn! Hold me haha! Today's video is my BTS Proof Concept Photos Review and we're going to unpack everything from the concepts to the fashion.
BTS are giving us two contrasting vibes with the Proof concept photos. The Proof Version serving us bad boy, Matrix, don't f*ck with us and then the Door Version which is incredibly soft, ethereal and dream life.

JIMIN IS SO ETHEREAL IN THAT OUTFIT omg he looks like an angel in that door concept!
The outfits from Door concept look hanbok-inspired actually with all the shapes and cuts and ties for the jackets so I wouldn't be surprised if it's by a Korean designer 😊
Neither would I but I find it strange that there is no promotion from the designer who made them. I'd be shouting from the rooftops if BTS wore something I made haha. Part of me wonders if an internal Hybe team are behind the Door looks
@@georgehollins as far as I know we don't have an inside hybe team because so far even bespoke/custom-made outfits always have a designer, like Tailorable with their formal suits for different occasions

I can't choose either, it's too hard! I know I can't stop looking at them, the work that went into them is just driving me wild!
Part of me wonders whether it was an internal Hybe team who made the Door looks tbh. If a designer isn't promoting them, like if BTS wore one of your pieces as a designer, you wouldn't shut up about it ya know haha
@@georgehollins at this moment anything is possible. They might be the ones that work with them in their merch.. or i dunno.. it's a mystery just like the stories behind the concepts. I hope after the release of the album they'll be able to let us know who made them.. cause they're just amazing..

I needed that video ! When I first saw the Proof Version, I didn't like it. I thought everything was too large, too oversized. I don't know, I think we don't see their body, they are hidden behind their clothes. Thanks to you, I can appreciate the textures and the beautiful combination of black.
I just love love love love the Door Version. I think their silhouettes are really beautiful, the colors are so pretty. We can see their waist, their curves (I saw Jimin booty first too...). Yoongi is sooooo stunning. So is RM and everyone else. Thank you for talking about sheer fabric. I didn't realize how hard it is to make a clothes out of it ! So thank you for this video. I think your point about being hidden behind their clothes is very interesting, especially as the Korean media are speculating the meaning behind the concept photos. Like literally look at this quote from Koreaboo '“Proof” alludes to the personal and professional difficulties BTS has faced along the way'.
Hahaha love how you noticed Jimin's booty first too I mean it's there to be seen and they all know it 😂 omg sheer fabric is so hard to sew! Where it's so extremely lightweight, it makes is very slippery which makes it very difficult to cut but also to sew with precision. Then you can't put too many pins in the fabric as it will snag it and it's very unforgiving if you make any mistakes.

My grandmother and mother were expert seamstresses and both paid special attention to fabric selection (selecting the right kind of textile to make the most of a pattern or cut) and finishing, which they passed on to me. I really appreciate your reactions to BTS’s fashions because you pay attention to construction elements (fabric, cut, tailoring) and you deconstruct pieces to explain why they do (or don’t) work. I hope more BTS fans (especially fanBOYS) find you because they could really learn a lot about things to consider when creating your own personal style with a BTS twist. Well done!👍🏻💜

Their style is beyond amazing. Thank you for always giving us an in-depth review of these outfits and I love learning about the details of these fabrics and color schemes. I love that the stylist didn’t weigh down the Door version with a belted trouser….it kept it looking so floaty and ethereal. First off, George you look gorgeous! I mean that hair, those eyes! Stunning! Secondly, I KNEW you were going to love these looks as the proof concept has a lot of textures and accessories but they all look so sleek and the door concept is so flowy and ethereal, it’s as if they went from underground to the heavens. When you were talking about RM and Suga’s trousers I couldn’t stop shaking my head in agreement. I think both of them would have looked so much better with a slimmer leg RM with a straight leg and Suga with a slim leg because RM’s pants look as if someone’s blowing a fan up the cuffs and Suga’s look like he’s kneeling on top the boots yeah? Even if they kept the same trousers they could have at least had them bend a knee a bit in the group shot to give a bit of definition to the legs that we all know are in there somewhere haha.
I couldn’t possibly choose between the two concepts as they seem to be polar opposites with the first being bad ass vampires and the second being otherworldly princes but I am interested to know your favorite outfits from each concept though. Thank you so much for this video, I was genuinely hoping you would have the time to provide your insight and expertise.

I think RM's wide pants would've looked better with the top tucked in as it would've given more shape to the silhouette, it's a bit too boxy and Suga's defo would've looked so much better with a slim pant.
I can't choose either and you know what, we don't have to haha
I'm astonished by the fact that how good they look in both proof and door version , they pulled off both concepts . And George you look fabulous in the outfit and this hairstyle suits you .

Gosh, I'm such a sucker for soft feminine clothes on men. I loved the soft colors and textures and expressions. Of course they slayed the Proof concept as well, but I have to give the win to Door for me personally. So pretty

George you look stunning! I love the contrast of the looks from both concepts! Hobi looks stunning can’t take my eyes off him he looks so ethereal with the pastel colors and that individual pose with the lip thing. Come on!

The Vault section of photos really callback to their early years, particularly with the strong masculine edge to the styling and the somewhat aggressive gangster style posing. JK must be so pleased to be in stompy boots. So that haircut on RM is also a callback to their early days where he had the shaved sides with R and M cut in or lines. It's called a two-block haircut, where the sides are shaved and theirs hair on top. Also, the colour is likely a spray-on that will wash out - we remember when he had this hairstyle in the softer colour IRL. Suga's trousers make him look shorter :( But he tends to have a rep for being the quiet, tough guy, so they might be playing into that by giving him rings (Yoongi stans love his hands), and simple earrings, and no more jewellery. I remember you reviewing one of their red carpets where they wore Saint Laurent - they wore a lot of Saint Laurent around 2016-2017 where they were actively trying to show a more sophisticated yet still edgy look (FIRE music video is almost entirely Saint Laurent) - selling "we're still young and tough but now we're grown ups and we're cool".
Holy shit this construction is RIDICULOUS. I sew a bit, but I could never. WHO IS THIS DESIGNER? WHO ARE THEIR SEAMSTERS? GIVE THEM A RAISE!! Jeez Jin can wear bloody anything, he looks so regal, and the outfit streamlines and elongates his body. Isn't Jimin's printed jacket a little sheer? The front bit at the far left looks sheer-ish? How does JK look 17 again?! Jeez. I cannot get over the construction!!!!
So reddit army have done some digging, and even they can't find the designers. But they think that BTS are doing updated versions of their previous concept shoots - they used the sheer drapery in O!RUL8,2? concept as well, and apparently the vault photos are referencing Dark & Wild though I am not convinced on that one. 🤔
I am going to recreate that fur coat. I will. Maybe. I hope I have enough fur 🙃

Love all of these looks! They’re all very cohesive and definitely giving DILF vibes. However, as a Jimin bias as well, something that slightly bothered me is the way Jimin’s pants were tucked into his boots in the proof photos like in Suga’s outfit. I think I would have preferred something untucked to elongate their legs since both Jimin and Suga are the shortest members. But that’s just personal preference I guess, they literally look good in anything haha. With love as always💜💜

Thematically, I loved the Proof pics, but in terms of fashion, I preferred the Door and as a representation of where they are now. There was movement in the fabric and tight tailoring and that thoughtful attention to detail that seems to embody where they are at now.
I've watched enough of your videos now, that when shopping for my family, I ask myself if George approve. The answer is often no, and I make fewer impulse purchases, so my pocketbook thanks you.

Proof to me is too chunky and boxy and bold.. it fits the concept, no doubt, but our beauties are drowning in the pieces :D OMG, I didn't notice the tayloring of the Door-pieces - like what the heck, its really so terribly hard to taylor sheer fabric!!!! Big bow to the artists from me, too!! Perfect pastel palette and perfect Jimbooty. What else do we need? Cheers!!
i think i gotta buy proof lol. personally i like PROOF version more because of the all black "we will fuck you up" vibes and how i prefer a more androgynous, punk(?), "love yourself: answer version e" approach to angelic pastel softness, but your "fangirling" over the sheer designs def made me appreciate them more!

I so enjoyed spending time with this in depth look at the boys' fashion! I got to really examine all the pieces and how they were put together. I like the look in the Door Concept photos best, because I just love BTS in their femininity!! But the Proof Concept photos are a really nice foil to it, and I love BTS in their masculinity as well! Both looks were impeccably styled and photographed! Jimin is my bias too, and I definitely noticed that booty! You have to know with his incredible dancing that his gluts and quads are super well developed and defined! Every one of the members looks very fine in these photos!!!

Cheeers, George! Love this video and your insightful commentary about every techical and aesthetic detail., as always. Wanted t ogive a shout out to your beautiful longer hair -- looks great! Also - I loved it when your first take on the sheer fabrics was about the difficulty of construction. As a seamstress myself (hobby only) I had the same thought! However I really loved your extra explanation of how the ultra-fraying fabrics were pristinely finished, even INSIDE the French seams.

I like both concept but I agree with you regarding Suga's trousers which for some reason make him look like a kid in a snowsuit coming home from school while the other six look like badass handsome men. J-Hope is my favorite with his special vibe on both concepts and finally George you're not alone...all eyes are on the Jbooty 🍑
I agree with what you said about Namjoon and Yoongi's styling in the first concept. The way the styling's been done is not really flattering and does not enhance their silhouettes 😩 they still look handsome of course, but if it were styled a bit differently, like you said, it would've been *chef's kiss*. Anyway, my favorite looks from the first concept is Jin's and Hobi's. JIN LOOKS SO GOOD STYLED LIKE THAT, and his slightly haughty facial expression is just... 😵💫
