I'm late, just had time today to finally watch the mini-series, so I will slowly catch up to the pod cast episodes. I also noticed some unnecessary changes like the Sandleford Owsla pursuit into the woods. For the dog chase scene at the end they could have left the dog in. That Holly had some grievance with them was already clear when they left Sandleford. And I don't even see the point chasing them through nighttime through a dangerous territory, in any other version of Watership Down it was enough for leaving the field where Sandleford is located. To have a bit more bullyish Bigwig is a deviation from the book I can live with, there need to be some conflict with Hazel about leadership something that 1978 movie just touched for two dialogue lines or so and it never came up at all in the 1999 series. I guess for a theatrical representation and the targeted audience you need to simplify and so they go with the mean Bigwig.
I can appreciate what you are saying about Anglo-America, but only God's Kingdom can bring true peace and security to the world as the Bible promises it will very soon
