at bottom of bottle instead of the paper replace with a kitchen sink wash sponge then add your layers. nice job anyone watching your vid is blessed the filter bottle is first in knowledge of life 98.6 degrees and purafide water 👏👍

u should boil the water before u drink bcoz it has little impurities after filtering the water but very nice ideas of making it thanks🖒🖒👍
Now you have 2 problems:
1- You used a piece of paper which I believe from a magazine or news paper and that alone contains paints and the paper is cured with other chemicals to make it...thin smooth paper.
(it is better to use a piece of cloth or cotton)
2- You need to boil it later to make sure it is clean before drinking it since this method doesn't stop every germ or bacteria from getting through the filtration.
The paper was used to hold the charcoal in place, a little ink isn't going to kill you. Additionally once the filter element is wet the amount of charcoal leaked into the drinking water would be less, using a little piece of metal mosquito/ fabric netting would be a better option.
You don't need to boil it if it is from a clean source like a well, perhaps if many animals and and pollution had entered the source then instead of filtering, I would suggest making a water still, a simple tea kettle a bit of copper tubing and a clean container and a small fire to process the H20.
For relatively clean H20 void of Fluoride, and other harmful chemicals, oils, fecal matter, micro organisms, then a filter like this would be easy to construct in the field, and would process hundreds of gallons.
I have 25 years of back country Mountaineering experience and have only once gotten Giardia Crypto since I had no access to a filter or any way to clean the water.
Not all bacteria needs to be removed, not every germ will kill you or give you the trekker trots.
Systems like this are fine to drink, in fact I have come across multiple places where I could drink straight from the source, as it was exiting out of the rock strata.
Info Wars has the best gravity fed water systems sold, R/O systems are the best, yet you must put the minerals back in or face issues from drinking this purest form of H20.

You have put the newspaper below the charcoal, what will happen if paper will become wet and flows away, when we pour water in it ?
And if the paper flows away and if the sand, charcoal, stones and pebbles gets mixed then the water will become dirty. Then what will be the use of this project?
