The new mechanic im referring to can be seen in both laps, but is better executed in the 2nd lap at 1:07
Basically hitting the wall stops the boost bar from draining, allowing you to keep your boost while using oswald's special
I noticed this the other day but never found a practical use for it. I guess it’s useful for ability’s that launch you forward like Aladdin, goofy and lilo lol

I could have not understand how could it be possible with two of these crashes to the wall, but now I'm sorta get it. Interesting idea. I guess it needs a whole lotta practice.

What's crazy is that in the 2nd lap towards the end had you got his Special again then a 1:26 or possibly even 1:25 could've been reached.

I keep doing what I see you do but getting vastly different results: instead of getting the AI slipstream they bump me and disable my boost. Instead of getting through the "snake" section, I get bumped into random freaking obstacles that are hard to see. Instead of steadily drifting through the final part and the start, I keep losing my traction and drifts because of the stupid undulations.
Update, after 4 more tries I got into the top 10%, applying some of what I saw here but adjusting some lines. Yay!

dayum you blow my mind, quick question if I don't get his special before you hit the wall. Do you count as the run is dead?
No I wouldnt say so, there must be multiple ways to get a great run in this event. I'm sure other players have found stuff I haven't.
Plus, even if a run is doomed from the start you should keep going and explore things, since we only get 3 tries per 8 hours every run is useful as a learning experience!
Do you think that if you get oswald power instead of the bomb at the end you can make 1 min 26 s ?
i think ill have to grab more items during the run if i want to find 3 specials in total.
But yeah 1.26 is definitely possible

Very interesting mechanic, congrats! I am not far beyond, with 1:29.000 without using that mechanic. I'm pretty sure that you can improve that time if use the ability on the last turn there, but you need to get lucky and pull it 4 times

Geez I just checked the leaderboard a few hours ago and Nathan was still no. 1, did you literally just do this? 🤣 I'm at rank 907 I think, unless someone has passed me already which I'm sure they have lol
It happens to me too, I was in the 10% of the leaderboards and it changes to 25%, What just happened!

i switched to kb about 2 months back! I think this game has a slightly higher skill ceiling on kb compared to controller, especially if u have a rapid trigger keyboard. That's just my opinion though, not a fact.
Kb has less input delay but i think controller has more control over their drift

I did the same but why you gain nitro while using his charged? Mine does'nt even if I stop the boost bar crashing to a wall, thats strange, also I gain 3 skills and did 2 in the same spot..and one in the last part and can't get more less than 1.32 so I starting to think people use kb because of some hack 🙃
