I have the same setup, LS 50 Meta + KC62. Alone, I found the LS 50 Meta too thin on bass. I knew this going in. I can’t count how many UA-cam reviews I watched that take a dump on it when comparing it to other bookshelf speakers. Add the KC 62 and the sound is outstanding. I power the LS 50s with a 110w receiver which is plenty for the small room I play them in. Yes, the combination is pretty pricey, but the combination of the build quality and aesthetics take a little of bite out of what they cost.
Great video Mark! You did it right by adding a fantastic sub to an acclaimed speaker for a full range sound. I agree with you and love the aesthetic. The Metas will scale if you get a better integrated amp. Thanks again!
Hey Mark! thanks for the video, great content with excellent quality as usual. Although I know there is a price difference, I would like to know your thoughts on Devialet Phantom. I have a pair of Phantom I 108db, but I debated between the Meta wireless + sub vs the Phantom for a long time before I pulled the trigger. Thanks again!
I have the same but paired to a Rel T5X which is 1/2 the price. It’s very sensitive to placement , even 1 inch closer or further from the wall makes quite a big difference. Second is the better your front end equipment , the better it sounds , I pair it with a Eversolo A6 ME streamer, Denafrips Pontus 2 DAC ( with DDC & I2S ) and a Willsenton R8 class A 50w SET amp ( rolled PSVane tubes ) ,it sounds very analogue and neutral. I would def get IsoAcoustic Gaia2 for the feet, they make a big difference to the bass, voice , imaging etc. These spkrs pair well with tube amp and R2R DAC. It will be a while before I upgrade anything , maybe Kef R3 meta. So far I’m very happy with the sound, nothing to complain abt.
Actually on my list to consider a H120... Not yet sure how big of an improvement they would be given it's a difficult thing to A/B without just purchasing

The setup looks super clean!
KC 62 speaker grills? Never seen those?
The LS50 meta + Sub are also good for a desktop :)

You should really get a Hegel amp for those! They come in white too!

@ Well - KEF use Hegel amps on their LS50`s on HIFI-shows. I guess that’s a hint??
For just a bit more, you could have gotten the LS60! Great setup though
